Ok so I started a new job and for lunch they wanted to take me out I chose Kazuma After eating I didn't feel bad but once I got home from work I started feeling illI thought due to me changing my diet recently (not having red meats) maybe it was due to that Really bad runs all night I've been fasting for 24 hours before having a meal this was the only food I ate after my fastNext day I wanted to go out for lunch againSo I decided sushi would be healthy again and I was feeling slightly better Man I pull up They food inspector was leaving and had placed a closed sign on the door due to them failing the inspection While he was walking away the woman was chasing him down pleading While that was happening The main chef very very angrily ripped the closed sign off the door!Like he was gunna disregard the inspectors decision Back to the lady hostessShe's begging the inspector Then another cook runs up to him as what I could see trying to bribe him Then he talks at them he's is going to call the police and to stay away at from him The chef comes out yells hella loudly at the woman and then the inspector enters his vehicle Would not eat here No wonder I didn't feel good They weee closed down for a good reason Idk if I should consider a lawyer lol

I love sushi, but it's expensive, so I don't go out often to enjoy it. We arrived here about thirty minutes before they closed. The restaurant was empty, so we were seated right away. As with many sushi restaurants, the menu was extensive and it was difficult to decide what to get. We settled on the spicy salmon roll, Rainbow roll, and soft shell crab appetizer - nothing fancy.They brought out some complimentary miso soup and it was too salty to finish, so we took a few sips and set it aside. They brought out the spicy salmon roll and rainbow roll before the appetizer, which I guess was ok, but I would have preferred it the other way around. Anyway, the fish was mediocre - nothing special or memorable. It got the job done. The soft-shell crab appetizer was overcooked. They must have fried it for too long to the point where the crab was chewy. This appetizer was so greasy it was difficult to finish. They made no secret that they were in a rush to close the restaurant, giving me my check and reminding me they were closing the doors in five minutes. This is my second time to this restaurant, and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to come back unless I was in the area and they were one of the only places open. Like I said, the food wasn't bad, but it also didn't taste that fresh either compared to other sushi restaurants I've been to across the Bay Area. Quality was right in the middle. I would recommend people try this place, but certainly don't go out of your way for it.

I have been to the place 2 times and both times the food here is very disappointing. The 1st time I was here was a year ago, I got the Sashimi Salad with assorted sashimi, the quality of the fish was like grocery store sushi quality. For the 2nd time came here with co-works and we had:Garlic Edamame, it was good.Bento Box with Spicy Pork Belly, Spicy Tuna Roll, Gyoza, Miso Soup & Salad, The tuna was so dried and didn't taste like tuna. My co-worker said he had the runs after.Rolls:Popcorn Langoustine Roll, all you can really taste was the batter because they use so much of it. Spideman 3 Roll with Shell Shell Crab, Eel, Avocado was okay.And a few other rolls which wasn't good either.We came in right when they open, no one in restaurant, service was very slow and had to refilled my owe water.Gave it a second chance, there won't be a 3rd.

We visited again today for dinner but turns out they don't have happy hour anymore (cry). There was a notice of "ownership change" on the front window outside (date late April 2024) so maybe that's why??Food updates:-Complimentary miso soup and ice cream -Tuna handroll: literally just tuna and rice this time, nothing else :(-Negihama handroll: a litter on the fishier side, soft seaweed-Salmon skin handhold: perfectly crunchy and full of flavor!-Hotel California roll: fancier version of a regular California roll-KZ roll: v crispy with a hint of spiciness, the highlight of the night!Service updates:Waitresses were friendly although we had to flag them down twice to place our orders and ask for wasabi (didn't come with any of the sushi). There were only 2 of them with a handful of tables so they seemed pretty busy..

The restaurant is a bit on the darker side giving soft, classy vibes. We came for lunch so I got the three combo bento box lunch special. It comes with miso soup and a salad. The meal was great. The tonkotsu was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, the salmon teriyaki was flavorful and so was the spicy tuna. This is their best deal and I couldn't finish it so I even had leftovers! Only caveat is I wish they were slightly more lenient with the combo style since we had someone who's allergic to fish but there wasn't much accommodations. The staff were really nice and patiently waited on the sides Incase you needed anything. They're also fast with their service and answer questions you might have.

After a couple years hiatus, I brought some of my younger cousins to Kazuma for a quick and local sushi dinner. We ordered a few rolls and handrolls to share and were disappointed with our meal. The portion sizes for the rolls are still small and flavors are lackluster. The Victoria secret roll was the only one I liked, with the Bay Island as the worst. As far as rolls go here- I would give this 2.5 stars for extremely average sushi.

This used to be my bestie's favorite sushi place in South bay, and we usually get the fusion omakaze here. It is no longer fusion, pretty much just plain nigiri, with some greens on top. We probably will find another sushi spot for his bi-weekly visits. Service is still super slow, but that's not unusual for here. Our table of four, two of us ordered the fusion omakazes, one person ordered the nigiri omakaze, and one person ordered rolls, and we got poke nachos to share. The soup and salads for the three omakaze plates came out first (except these were not together, the one for the nigiri set came out much later). Then the poke and rolls. Good thing we had also ordered some to share, because that was really awkward that only one person's food came out. The rolls were finished. The staff kept assuring us the omakazes were on the way.The two fusion omakazes finally come out, the staff are apologetic about the wait. My friend and I are like what is this? You can see in my review photos the old version of the fusion omakazes, which actually had fusion flavors and was interesting and exciting, it also used to come with the Wasabi relish. (I'm not sure why yelp is attaching previous review photos but OK). Versus the new iteration of the fusion omakazes is just nigiri with some micro greens. Not worth the wait, trip, or money, imo. All of these tasted pretty plain, there was only one that had a weird citrus sauce on it that didn't go well with the fish it was on. Also the Wasabi it was presented with was the green paste one, but it was so dilute you couldn't really get any kick from it.

I had many of the rolls the lion king was my favorite They have many options for the meals i like the salmon teriyaki alot they have big portions. I went there the other day they said they were close .
