Kanpai Sushi

Got just one item: Dynamite roll: it was awesome. Service is okay (sometimes hard to understand and may need to repeat). Nice cozy place.

This place should most likely shut down.. the owner/server seems very out of touch, when we walked in he was asleep on the bench and didn't wake up until we had sat ourselves and grabbed our own menus. When he also came up to grab our orders I had asked him what sushi he likes and suggested and his response was "I don't eat it" not very appealing to new customers.. no atmosphere, no tv on, no music. The only thing to create any type of noise was the workers talking very loud in the back. The salmon was old and wrinkled and old slices on it.. the edamame was burnt and the water was warm.. if I were you take the extra 5/10 minutes and drive to a different place that has a better atmosphere, way better server -and better food

This is my go to on take out sushi when I am going to the movies. I order, pickup and enjoy my movie. My takeout bag has all I need!

Amazing. Ignore the 1/2/3 star reviews. This place has amazing tasting sushi. I highly recommend.

I've come to two different locations, Dublin and Brentwood. I thought maybe it was a fluke. But this is not authentic Japanese sushi. It doesn't taste like traditional sushi and I eat sushi ALOT from all over and this is not made correctly. You can taste the difference. So disappointing to get sushi that is poor food quality. The food looks good, but if you know sushi you know quality. Service was nonexistent, I had to get up and ask for water, ask for a box, and almost beg him to bring me my check. Maybe it was an off day for this location on service but food quality, both locations are the same. I will not be eating at this establishment again or any locations under this name. Really disappointing.

My boyfriend and I stopped by here for a quick bite. It appears to be a small local biz/family owned, not a chain restaurant. I ordered the Veggie Roll with soy paper (instead of the default nori) and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Yaki Udon. The gentleman helping us was incredibly kind, helpful, and quick to service us. The staff don't speak English very well, but they understood us with zero problems. The food arrived quickly, and I was incredibly happy with how my roll tasted! It was also incredibly cheap - $10 for my roll. I'd recommend this place for a quick bite to eat when you want something nice and authentic. This isn't a "fancy" place, but it's exactly what I wanted and needed it to be.

Ugh..... I wanted to like this place because it was near our hotel and convenient in a nice area near all the little plaza places, but there was NO vibe, nothing special about the inside, and what made it worse was the customer service was horrible! The guy that was serving us didn't even say hello or acknowledge that we were paying customers. He didn't even speak to us at all even when he was getting our order. The sushi was just OK but it was falling apart the whole time they didn't wrap it enough so we were just eating piles of sushi. 60$ for 2 hand rolls and 2 orders of saki I feel like we should of gotten better customer service, no wonder the place was empty. The cups they gave us for the beer with our sake was dirty also. We asked for dipping saucers for our sushi and he acted irritated that we even bothered. I wouldn't come here again. I gave a 2 because the shrimp tempura was fresh but like I said it was falling apart. Don't expect much when you come here.

I ordered pickup through door dash and also dined in once. When I picked up I asked the man for a side of eel sauce and spicy mayo, he was really annoyed and told me I needed to order it through the app. I actually tried doing that before ordering but they don't have sauces on their menu for ordering. I explained this to him and then he told me he doesn't think I TRIED... and that I was supposed to call door dash before ordering and tell them I wanted eel sauce and spicy mayo. What??? I don't even know how you can call DoorDash and ask for something before you even order or pay. Whatever. I asked him can you pls show me how to do this so I can do it in the future and he told me NO I can't show you. ??? I told him ok well can I just call you directly next time and ask you to put the sauces in the bag and he said NO you cannot call.... HUH?? He said it's fine he'd give me the sauces, they're free. I don't understand why he was giving me such a hard time. He was really rude and was so annoyed with me I'm thinking he just wished he didn't have to go back and get me sauce.When I dined here it was a woman and she had her priorities all messed up. She sat us down and we waited for so long for her to just ask us what drinks we wanted, we watched her and she was doing so many little things, there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant, just 2 customers. She was going in the back and giving people soy sauce that they didn't ask for, I know they didn't ask because when she brought it they said no thank you. She was standing waiting for orders to be finished at the sushi bar, instead of taking our order. It was just frustrating. Anyways I think the food here is good, I've tried a lot of miso soup and I think theirs is very good. I like their pink lady roll and Alaskan hand roll. My husband doesn't like this place he says the sushi is too wet and mushy. I don't mind it but he is right.

Service was poor, the food was too salty, ambiance was cluttered. It's near the movie theatre and that is only thing it has going for it.

The food was great, however the workers have very poor energy. I definitely would recommend considering the customer service before supporting this business. Also, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very dull due to the poor customer service. Honestly just weird and unwelcoming vibes.
