JC’S BBQ

I'm a fan of JCs. While it's a bit on the pricier side the BBQ is always delicious. St.Louis style ribs are really the way to go. Boiled in salt water until the meat is just the right texture then finished off over charcoal. The semi tender meat with a good bite vs 100% fall apart. I like to have something to chew since I still have teeth in my advanced age. It makes me feel young again. Love this place.

JC's famous BBQ certainly lives up to its famous name. I've tried many BBQ establishments in the area and JC''s is number one in my opinion . First, the BBQ sauce is very delicious. It has just the perfect amount of spice. The meat is very tender and grilled to perfection and cooked to order. The food is fresh and served piping hot to perfection. The sides are also worth a shout out.. You can choose from potato salad, beans or green salad. I especially love the homemade salad dressing. The service is outstanding. The owner of the establishment is very nice and accommodating. The menu has lots of variety to choose from including a daily lunch special. You definitely get your moneys worth. The atmosphere is very nice, comfortable and family friendly. I highly recommend JC's BBQ.

First off this place has been here for a very long time. I used to come in when I was teenager and food now is still as good as always. Simple menu concept that cares really for meats. Sides are potatoe salad, bean, salad. Sauce is really good you can ask for no sauce dry rub only. I really love the atmosphere it's small and has can soda, water, beer. One person handling orders, he cooks, and serves food. He been here for decades. I salute you for holding down fort on your own. Food is amazing don't miss out.

Wow, I drive around this area all the time, ALL the time and I always looked and say I'm going to try it out one of these days and today was the day. For an early Sunday afternoon it's was dead no one in this fine establishment and I honestly don't Know why, but I'm guessing it's because I think they just started opening on Sunday. Service was great, I was told about specials and didn't look at anything else because options for special looked delicious so I went with that. Ambiance great considering I was the only one inside it looked specious and clean. Great flavor with the sauce on ribs and chicken as well as very meaty ribs and chicken, only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the baked beans I would have like it a little more soft beans and less onions but that's just me I'm not a fan of onions and beans are baked so I can understand why they are the way they are. But people come have some bbq at JC's it's open sundays 10-8

The beef ribs are excellent and a good value. I've had beef ribs in Texas and I found them comparable. I would suggest getting to go if you're a family.

Been eating here since the 90s. It's the sauce. The bbq chicken or rib sandwiches have never missed. And the potato salad is bomb. I've always thought it pricey, but always turns out to be worth it. Last time I was there the owner who used to be a cook back in the day, was able to purchase the place and I'll support that any day.

Have not been to JC's for nearly 30 years since I'm no longer in the area. Wanted to take my daughter in hopes that it would be as good as I always remembered and enjoyed. It did not disappoint! The chicken and ribs were delicious! So flavorful, juicy and every bit as good as I remember. Simple food made well. Thank you JC's! I hope to be back for more!

JC's use to have it going on! The best place within 50 miles to get beef ribs.... And their hot bbq sauce was to die for! Now, the beef ribs are way too expensive and the last couple times I've had them it was like chewing on cardboard. I actually ended up giving them to my dog.

This place is a bbq icon of the bay area for over 30 years! I always enjoy the food! Next time I am in sj area I will stop by.
