On the most part nice employees. The meat market is good. It has lots of variety. Don't care for neighborhood wouldn't go by myself. Good market for the neighborhood. Not the cleanest store but no problem with food so far.

You walk in your warmly greeted. He kindly suggested fish and I'm so glad he did! I always get soul. For 10 plus years. He suggested catfish! Heaven sent thank you lefty! He was writing with his left hand this always amazes me. I asked had he gone to the left hand store in San Francisco? He said yes and made a few jokes! The food is always piping hot they give you so much you can share it with family. The men in there are fine as I don't know what and always smiling and serving you the best food every! Miss their burritos but their place is a must go.

May have wondered in here to buy liquor at one time. it's separate to the right side. didn't seem to have much selection beyond mainstream beers.noticed a guy bringing in mexican pastries from Rico Pan Baking Co. next door. worth going next door just to buy it cheaper.not much traffic in the lot. must be very busy here post 5 p.m.

This place is NASTY. I know the people come in there because there is no where else to go. That place has done a 360(3x's) since I was younger. They are too expensive to be in the hood and nasty. I couldn't believe it when I went in there. Its sad they offer this in the low income neighborhoods.They need to be shut down!! YUCK on this store all around. They get a Star because I found what I was looking for. I was shocked. Quality, prices& cleanliness. A big fat ZERO!

Don't pay your utility bills at Food King Check Cashing, which is inside this grocery store. I paid my AT&T Uverse bill there on 2/7.15. On 2.17.15 I woke up to discover my internet was disconnected. Turns out the guy who took my cash payment (Bilal) entered my account number wrong. They didn't have any forms for me to fill out when I made the payment, like other places do. And he asked me for my account number FOUR times. I remember being annoyed when this happened, because I kept having to look up the account number in my iPhone address book. And he STILL screwed it up. Luckily I was able to find my receipt. That's when I noticed he'd entered the account number wrong. But before I was able to do this, I spent about 30-40 minutes trouble-shooting trying to figure out if something was wrong with my modem, then an hour on the phone with AT&T to find out what happened to my payment. AT&T was also lame. I wanted to call Food King to make a complaint, but their phone number isn't on the receipt, only their address. And with my internet down, I couldn't look it up. But AT&T couldn't find Food King in their system, even though it's on their list of authorized payment locations, which is why I went there. And I paid a $2 service fee to make my payment there, and for what? To end up with my service disconnected and having to spend over an hour and half fixing the problem. What a lousy way to start my day.I'm giving them one star for their groceries too. While I was paying my bill, I went to buy cream for a recipe I was making that day. They don't carry cream. So I looked for half and half, which I could use in place of cream. They don't carry that either. Only milk. Very lame. I ended up having to drive to the Safeway on 106th and MacArthur.Then there were the guys hanging out on the sidewalk in front of the door. They looked shady. Felt I had to keep my guard up to stay safe. I'm all about supporting small, locally-owned businesses, but I won't be going back there.

Why on the Saturday before Christmas would they not open up on time?? The website says it opens at 8:30am and I'm still sitting outside their gate watching for the gate and door to open. It's almost 9:00am. Poor, poor business. They usually have the best greens, meat counter and rude and arrogant clerks, but I withstand their behavior to get the goods prior to Christmas. They probably assume everyone who frequents their store are poor, uneducated, from the neighborhood and beneath them, however taking our money.

The employees are rude. I live near by and went to receive a western union payment. Unfriendly the person said " what's the confirmation" I said hold on a second l didn't know I needed one. "He got distracted and said I thought wrong. Then I let him know he was rude for that. He then said the machine is not working! No one in the store is wearing a face mask and they are not taking into consideration Covid-19. ..
