Insatiable Desserts

There are two main reasons people usually write reviews. 1. The service / food/ products are beyond dissatisfying or the service / food / product was amazing. For us, everything was Amazing. It seems harder and harder to get a good birthday cake for our daughter. After going to numerous parties and trying a variety of cakes, grocery store cakes were out of the question. So, last year we went to a local baker and they did a good job on our cake but, it was still too sweat and a bit underwhelming. This year, for my daughters 2nd birthday, we wanted to find an independent baker who could create a cake that matched the theme of our daughters party and that was creative and different. Many bakeries just have a list of cake designs that they do and I feel they often lack originality and can come off almost manufactured. Here comes Insatiable Desserts. We wanted a bit of a wow factor and we were able to show her some pictures of cakes we found online that we liked that matched out theme. She provided some suggestions on the outside design of the cake and the inside of the cake. The overall cake came out better than we had thought and our guests couldn't stop talking about.Now onto the taste. One of my biggest complaints with standard cakes is how sweat the frosting is and how the cake portion lacks flavor. Our cake was moist and wasn't over sweat and had lots of flavor. The frosting was a delicious buttercream and she managed to create a fondant (That my husband and I normally hate due to bad taste) that was absolutely delicious. It was really really good. She also created some Mickey Mouse shaped cookies for us in the these of Mickey, Minnie and Donald. They were shortbread cooking decorating in a delicious frosting and there was a hint of lemon in some and orange in other. We had people grabbing extras to take home.

These were the biggest and most beautifully decorated cupcakes ever! I only got pictures of a couple of them before they were quickly devoured by everyone. The buttercream frosting is honestly out of this world. I may just ask for a bag of that frosting on the side next time. So many unique flavors and customized to the event and flavors we wanted. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great cake or great cupcakes!

Best cake ever! My godson absolutely loved his birthday cake! The Polar Express/Frozen cake was a huge hit. We showed some basic cake pictures with Tarra and she made a piece of art with a rough description of what we wanted. We had chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and the inside of the cake was full of mini M&M's. We told her we needed enough cake for about 15-20 people and it was perfectly sized where we had a little leftovers for later. I can't wait for another special occasion to order another cake!
