Ichika Sushi House

I love this place! My man took me here on a date and I am glad he did. First off, they are always packed so come willing to wait. Secondly, they are attentive. Thirdly, food is amazing! Their garlic edamame, miso soup, and Lion King roll is amazing! You may wait long to get a table but they are quick with the food. This is a go to sushi spot!

Last min plan for Valentine's Day night. My cousin and I decided to grab dinner together. I was a little worried we might not find a place to eat that's not crowded or $$We arrived to Ichika right when they opened at 5:15pm and there were a few people waiting at the front already. We got seated in 15-20mins? And we did not make a reservation.... So we got lucky!Very cozy setting, so perfect for date night. The staffs were all friendly.Our last item which was the valentines treasure box didn't arrive for a while so we had to ask about it 15mins later or more. Which is understandable because it was Valentine's Day and they did have a full house.I will for sure return again ! Everything was so fresh! Lalalove their monk fish! Best I've ever had

came here on a sunday night an hour before closing!ordered a few rolls, sushi dinner, and chicken karaage. all of the above were amazing and the fish tasted extremely fresh. it was also only a 13 minute drive from rincon hill in SF which is a huge plus considering it takes 30 minutes to drive to other parts of sf.service was pleasant and quick, with a pretty casual ambiance. will definitely be back again! no complaints:)

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and got seated right away! It's very lowkey and cozy. We were given complimentary edamame and hot green tea. We ordered the chicken karaage, Romeo roll and ichika roll. The chicken karaage was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Romeo roll was delicious, the scallops were really fresh. The flavor of the ichika roll was also superb. All the fish seemed really fresh.

This place has always been on my bookmarks and I got to finally try it on Valentine's day. We got here right when they opened at 5pm, and was able to get a table inside. super cozy and romantic spot with tasteful decor. Despite it being a busy day, the servers were still attentive and provided great service.Fresh Ankimo (5/5) Some of the freshest I've had in the Bay Area. Dare I say as good as Japan? We were super happy with this dish. Highly recommend. Treasure Box (5/5) Just enough for two people, the treasure box is a must get when you come here. We got the Valentine's day box that came with abalone, uni + ikura over rice, king salmon, wagyu nigiri, Toro nigiri, Hamachi, oysters with caviar, sea bass, and a savory egg pudding dish topped with a dungeness crab. Mango Salmon Roll (4/5)salmon was fresh and the mango was sweet and complimented the roll so well.Fancy Oysters (5/5) topped with quail egg, ikura, ponzu and green onion. i really enjoyed these as well and even put some of the Ankimo on top overall, great experience for our first time. I will definitely be back!

The restaurant appears small when you first enter, but they have another room to the left with more tables. Their menu prices are pretty typical of decent sushi places. I only ordered the Ichika Roll since I wasn't very hungry. It was good, but not anything extraordinary or anything to write home to. Service was also very minimal, they don't make suggestions or offer to tell you anything about their fish.There is a free parking lot right outside. Also be aware that they automatically charge 18% gratuity for groups of 5 or more. I didn't notice and accidentally marked an extra 18%. Thankfully, when I called they assured me that they do not take on additional tips if tips were automatically applied even if I checked the extra 18% box! It's been 2 weeks now, and credit card was charged appropriately. I'm not sure I would be back though, since the sushi didn't impress me.

We came here for dinner and sat at the bar. A waitress dropped off a bowl of edamame and tea. We started with the veggie tempura and yaki ika. We also got the angry fish roll and deluxe chirashi. The fish was fresh and yummy. I was quite satisfied with the food. Service was good overall. The food came out quickly and the tea was refilled. When we got the bill, we were given a gift certificate. I guess it's because of the holiday season- nice touch!

Came here for lunch with my friend and it was relatively busy. We were seated right away at one of the cute "floor" tables. And they gave us complimentary miso soup and edamame. After a quick browse of the menu we ordered the fish tacos, veggies tempura, and we both got the deluxe chirashi bowls. Fish tacos were yum. Nice crunch and a little bit of a jalapeño kick. And had to get some veggies, even though they are deep fried. The deluxe chirashi book came with an assortment of sashimi, amaebi, uni, sake, tuna, hamachi, scallop just to name a few. I mean it was packed with a variety and definitely worth the price and would definitely order again.

We came to Ichika on Christmas Eve since it was one of the few restaurants that were open! We got both the Treasure Box and the Omakase Sashimi and they did not disappoint! Everything in the Treasure Box was already seasoned to perfection, and such a good deal! It also came with steamed egg (not pictured) I did feel like the Omakase sashimi was a bit extra after getting the Treasure Box because a lot of the sashimi was also included in the Treasure Box but unseasoned. Next time, I would probably stick to just the Treasure Box. I love the vibe here as well -- they also have Japanese style seating. It's cool but difficult to get in and out of.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover how close I live to this hidden gem--it completely flew under my radar until this past weekend! I visited with a group of six on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. The restaurant features a side room with longer tables and Tatami seating, perfect for larger parties. There's also a cozy outdoor seating area with heaters. We were welcomed with complimentary edamame as soon as we were seated, which was a nice touch since everyone was starving! We decided to order various rolls for the entire table to share. We ordered the Mango Salmon Roll, Ichika Roll, Double Toro Roll, Phoenix Roll, and Romeo Roll. While every roll was packed with flavor, my favorite would be the Romeo roll--I loved the melt-in-your-mouth combination of salmon and scallops. My partner and I also ordered the omakase nigiri, which showcased fresh and delicate cuts of fish. What impressed me was the exceptional service--our food arrived incredibly quickly! The staff was friendly and attentive. The delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and quick service make this spot a must-visit.I'm looking forward to returning and exploring their extensive menu!
