Hunan Mifen

Hunan Mifen is one of our regular spots for a good noodle fix. The ordering system can be confusing at first, so recommend looking at dishes online or on Yelp to decide what you want. I've gotten the signature beef noodles (just once) and the braised beef noodles (multiple times). Their warning is warranted - the spicy beef noodles are no joke! The flavor is there, I just personally wouldn't go that spicy again.There's rarely a wait when we go to the Saratoga Ave location, and we're always able to stay and order more.

Hunan Mifen is a good option for anyone who wants a quick lunch or dinner after work and are around the area. I came on a thursday during lunch, and the restaurant was filled very quickly. The soup broth was decent and not too heavy, the super spicy beef bones came on the side, so you can add them in based on your own spicy preferences. They are quite spicy, so be careful! The spices from the beef do add a nice flavour to the soup, and it makes the overall dish quite delicious.

The rice noodle with beef shank was delicious. Juicy , tender beef and I love green scallions! They have their own signature dish-ware due to a small " chain" they own! I will try the others and review as well.Lots of noodle pot dishes that blow most pho places away for comparison!

5 stars for Special Rice Noodles with Beef Bone (super spicy). We came in towards the closing time and the staff was extremely patient and kind. We love spicy food - but keep in mind, it TRULY IS SPICY! The braised pork belly with noodles was just ok - 3.5 stars but good amount of meat! The portions were generous. My friend and I could've shared just the one dish and been full, instead of the two we ordered. The setup is simple. You order on your phone, add your credit card, and they bring out your food.

Came here with some friends after badminton, and we were pretty hungry so we tried to find some place that was close by. One of them suggested this restaurant, and since I hadn't heard about it before I was curious to try it out. The interior isn't too large, but our group of 4 was able to be seated pretty quickly inside. I decided to try their spicy noodles along with their popcorn chicken, which both were served relatively quickly. They give a pretty good portion size, and the soup does have a kick to it! The flavors in it were great and the consistency of the noodles was solid, with the solid, juicy chunks of meat adding to the experience. The popcorn chicken were also great, and honestly rank pretty high up there in terms of ones I've had. Definitely recommend checking this place out, and I'm glad my friend suggested it!

Hunan Mifen, as the name suggests, is a Hunan-style restaurant that serves rice noodle soups. They do have several locations, but this one is located right next to Lion's supermarket in Santa Clara. Hunan Mifen has been on my to-eat list for a while after it was recommend by a friend and I'm glad I gave it a shot!FOODWe ordered two bowls: the spicy Special Rice Noodle with Beef Bone and the non-spicy Rice Noodles with Braised Pork Belly. All noodles also come with pickled cabbage and pickled mustard.Both meats were really good and the noodles were tasty. Soup base had a lot of flavor. The spicy beef though is very spicy that it's mouth-numbing, so order it only if you can handle a lot of spice. I really enjoyed the pork belly though and I think that will be my go-to whenever I'm in the mood for Hunan-style noodles.By far, my favorite part of the food is that the meat and the sauce it's marinated in is served separately. You can use this to adjust the taste of each spoonful of your soup to your preference and, most importantly, it's very easy to share meats between other people in your party if you're one of those people that like to share dishes!SERVICEYou order through the QR code and the servers will bring your food. Hot noodle soup in winter time= best comboThe soup base is very flavorful and very hot. I especially like the tomato beef stew. The meat is SO tender with very flavorful tomato. Definitely recommended. They also have a lot of spicy options for those who loves to challenge!Plenty of sitting. Spacious with very friendly servers. Lots of parking. Will definitely return!

I've come here multiple times and this place is always delicious. If you are looking for spicy rice noodles this is the place to go. The noodles are delicious and the service is fast and efficient. It doesn't take long to get your noodles after you order it. The restaurant is right next to a Chinese market called lion market so very convenient to do shopping after you eat.

Went for lunch on a Thursday after 1:30pm, it was not too busy. Staff was nice, and the food came out fast. Use the QR code to order. The broth is really hot (temperature) so be careful. Noodles and the meat came out in separate bowls. Delicious chewy noodles and plenty of meat. Get some condiments at the station near the wall / tv - it pairs well!They played some familiar quietly in the background.
