Brought the Canto grandparents here for lunch on a Sunday around 11:30am. For having just opened at 11am, it was already pretty busy. There was no wait for our party of 4 though. We ordered 5 items and they came out relatively quickly.Lobster yee-fu noodles: For only $23ish, it's a pretty good deal. Decent amount of lobster and the noodles were soft and had chew to them. I think it could've used a little more seasoning, but this was my qualm with a lot of the dishes we ordered.Pork cheek: Pork was tender and sauce was good. I think I personally am not the biggest fan of this dish, but objectively it was cooked well.Snow pea leaves with garlic: One of my go tos at Chinese restaurants, and this one was yummy! Not too garlicky or too tough. And the portion was HUGE. Tofu with mixed vegetables: Savory sauce, maybe abalone? Tofu was good and veggies were cooked well. Beef chow fun: Again, big portion! Chow fun was good though, I personally think could've used some more seasoning/salt, but that's my preference. We ordered mainly off the specials menu, but overall the food was pretty decent. The selling point for me here is the prices and portions. The prices are pretty low compared to what i've seen elsewhere and the portions are so big. So in general, worth.

I'm down here in the Bay Area for work and a friend of mine wanted to take me out for, what he said was the best roast duck around. We go in and are seated quickly. We get tea to drink. He orders the roast duck. You can either get half a duck or the whole thing, and he got the whole duck, cause that was gonna be our main dish. Steamed rice was had as well. The duck arrives all sliced beautiful. I gotta say this was one of the best looking plated ducks I've seen. My first bit was like heavan decended upon my head and out me into a happy cloud! Wow, that skin and fat and meat all mixed together in my mouth was so freakin good! Yeah, a whol dick is kinda expensive, but not really if you figure it feeds two or three or you wanted.Service was fine, not much interaction beyound ordering and serving the food and collecting the check. I'd come back here for the duck anytime. Red Bluff where I live, sure doesn't have any roast duck like this!

So many choices on their menu!!! All there dishes taste very flavorful and "wok-hei" is definitely on the spot! Service is quick like always and at times there would be a long wait just like any other hk cafes! Their mural in the back wall always look appealing and sharp! There are a few tvs in there for entertaining!

We've been here many times now - both dined in as well as takeout. All in all, it's one of our favorite places nearby for Chinese food. Some of my must gets are the spicy duck blood (it's on their 'Today's Specials' menu outside, although I think they have it every day), salty egg yolk pumpkin, preserved egg and salty pork congee, and any of their claypots - my favorite is the lamb stew one though. Aside from my musts, we usually try something new or a couple of other dishes as well as I love having leftovers. My boyfriend enjoys all their claypots with eggplant and likes their more traditionally Hong Kong Cafe style dishes like the spaghettis. When we've dined in, service has always been friendly. For some reason, I noticed service is faster for online/phone orders than dining in, so if you're in a rush, I recommend doing takeout instead. Either way, we'll be back soon!

Decent food for the price. Our family enjoys coming to this restaurant for family dinners. Recently, we upgraded one of the pre-set dinners for Peking duck instead of the roast duck for $20 upgrade fee. Don't waste your money on it! Or even bother ordering a Peking duck. You're just paying for the buns. The duck was actually a roast duck, full of bones that we had to finagle through to get some meat to stuff our buns. I've had Peking duck before and the meat is usually prepped so that the guests can grab a bit of skin and meat to eat with the bun or wrap. Besides the duck, overall food is good for a reasonable price. Service is good because there's always someone around to flag down for more water or napkins.

The service was attentive, quick food service, and love the taste and portion size. The music and atmosphere was nostalgia of my childhood with my grandparents. I would definitely come back. The bathroom is clean and wheelchair accessible.

We have been looking all over for the down-home, village-style, old-school chopped pork pattie with salted fish and ginger slivers. Very few Cantonese restaurants have it anymore. Eureka! We found it here at Hong Kong Café.So this is now the go to place to get it as we can't find it anywhere else anymore. Looking at the menu, I want to come back and try so many of their other things. Another Yelper said it right, this is real Hong Kong food, not San Francisco Cantonese. Although we got takeout, the service was very friendly. I'm coming back to try a few other things! I always thought the food in Hong Kong was the best in the world!

The portions are big and shareable. The chicken is served cold with a side of chicken rice that was very flavorful. The duck was juicy and soft, not like a lot of duck places I've had. The servers are quite busy but the food will come out fast and if you flag them down, they will bring you what you need right away. The place was big and roomy with lots of tables. I was a bit disappointed about the condensed milk and butter bread because the photo in the menu looked nothing like it. Overall a great spot to grab a quick bite!

My favorite HK cafe in the East Bay!!! I've been coming here since the beginning when they first opened and was offering 50% during their first few weeks in business. The food is as authentic and tasty as the HK cafes in Hong Kong. I haven't really had a bad dish yet. Must go for their lunch specials if you haven't yet, it's $13.95 with a bowl of soup and $1 more for lemon tea or milk tea!! Excellent deal! And if you bring your own crab and or fish, they can cook it any style you want all for $15-$20...my goodness what are you waiting for?? Run to HK cafe because it's that good :)
