BIG Shout out to the Heartbeat Café! I swung by this place a few months ago without my wallet while juggling daddy duty and in a rush to squeeze in a lunch with my toddler before nap time.Living in Silicon Valley I just assume all places have Apple Pay however I didn't make the realization that this beautifully unique little nook did not have Apple Pay. The owner led with compassion and made my daughter and my lunch and allowed me to come back later to pay with a credit card.Fast-forward a few months, and I swung by with my mom who is visiting from the East Coast. We made our order and as I went for my wallet, the owner asked if I would like to use Apple Pay. To my elation, she had taken our conversation to Hart and got Apple Pay soon thereafter for her business.Amazing food... Phenomenal people!

Heartbeat Café is a hidden gem in Cambrian Plaza, San Jose, and a great spot to grab a meal or relax with a coffee. The cozy, inviting atmosphere, with its antique decor and warm lighting, makes it a place you'll want to come back to.The menu has plenty of options, and everything is made with care. I'd recommend the breakfast burrito or the turkey avocado pesto crepe--they're standouts. The staff are friendly and attentive, and you can tell they take pride in providing excellent service.While it's tucked away, Heartbeat Café is well worth seeking out if you're in the area. It's a charming little place that feels like home.

Worst customer service i've ever experienced. I'm always hesitant to write poor reviews on small shops, especially local small shops but I think this experience warrants sharing. I called to order a breakfast burrito, with a few changes (egg whites, add avocado, mushroom). I asked her to repeat back the order and it wasn't quite right so I repeated the changes and was rudely told "I have to go I have customers waiting". Clearly, phone customers are not customers lol. When I showed up, it looks like she was making the burrito, because no one was out the counter. I was on the phone with my wife waiting for her and she poops out and says "I'm back there making your burrito" in the rudest, snarkiest tone I've ever experienced at a restaurant. Like she was doing me a favor lol. And btw she charged an extra 4 bucks for the changes (which isn't a problem but certainly not a favor). I responded by letting her know that I didn't appreciate her tone both at the counter and on the phone. She did change her tone, but by that time, I was so disgusted with the experience I let her know that I was no longer interested doing business with them. And I don't even think they had started on the order (it was about 20 minutes after I had ordered). The person working the counter was clearly very overwhelmed, and when I asked her, she had confirmed as much, but you shouldn't be taking that out on your customers. And since Yelp likes me to write about ambience it was cute. A bit of a stars hollow / dragon fly inn from Gilmore girls. But regardless of the record, it's safe to say, I will not be patronizing this business in the future.

This is a great little coffee shop in Cambrian Park. I've been here multiple times and enjoy the beverages and the food. This last time I had an iced Americano and a fabulous bagel with lox and cream cheese.Service isn't extraordinarily friendly, but it is efficient. The food is good, the coffee is pretty good, the prices are a little high but not unreasonable. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's nice to come here on the weekend before running over to the farmers market to do a little shopping.

A great family owned business. Always nice and great coffee.Food is European with a touch of American to please the crowd. Plenty of parking and in nice days you can sit outside and enjoy the weather with a great cup of coffee or tea.

Stingy portions of bad food at high prices.Slow service.An interior that's so baking hot you can't tolerate it.Needless to say I did not enjoy this terrible place.I tried their breakfast burrito with bacon, the smoked salmon bagel, and a double latte.The breakfast burrito was microwaved gas station quality. Served with jarred salsa. It was so bad. Really disgusting.The bagel, for $12, had barely any toppings. Look how stingy that is. $12 for $2 of food, nice markup for barely any work.The latte tasted of milk. No discernible coffee flavor.Overall, well, the roses in the little courtyard outside are nice. But I would never come back for food or drinks.

I like this place i have here Mediterranean salad and veggie crepes and you can try here coffee and the place was so good to hangout with friends and service and ambience is so good

I highly recommend going to the Heartbeat Café - been there several times their coffee is excellent and Service is superb. The pastries pastries are awesome. So far I have tried the lemon bars, scones, we did henemans bread, and crepes. I usually stop in on Saturdays. They have a real nice outside and inside seating area which is great for groups of people too.

Great coffee. Broad selection for breakfast. Quaint. Good service. Outside seating (inside seating is a bit tight). Our first time there, we will be going back.
