Happy Burrito

Ordered the ground beef enchilada plate which comes with one enchilada, rice and beans. Total was $9.35. The good: Food was piping hot and freshly made. The mole sauce on the enchilada was delicious and the flavors came together really well on the plate.The not-so-good: The ground beef was OILY as heck. As soon as I cut the enchilada with my fork, oil came running out and it was a large pool of oil.I'll try the steak or chicken enchilada next time I go.

Happy Burrito has been around for decades. They used to have another location on 14th street. But glad that this one is still around.The burritos used to be really cheap and a quick lunch option.Now a super burrito is &10.xx with tax. Not bad for a basic burrito, rice, beans, cheese and meat. The salsa is still great though. I always get it on the side. No indoor seating available. Only to go ordersStreet parking onlyThe service is a no frills type of get an order in and pick up your food. Decent option for just some basic Mexican food.

Finally got to try this place after passing by so many times. I ordered the carne asada happy burrito w/ black beans w/ hot sauce on the side. The hot sauce was good, but the burrito was mushy all around. No contrast between fresh tomato and lettuce with the black beans and steak. It didn't feel up to par with other burrito spots in the area. The prices are good, and there's always a line so maybe it's someone's cup of tea but not mine.

Over the past 4 years I've vouched for this restaurant even with their up and down reviews from others. Today will officially be the last time I spend money with this place. The one thing that kept me coming back was the prices. I knew I could get a good amount of food that was tasty for a pretty cheap price. Recently, they've gone up on everything (yes I do understand inflation is crazy these days) so that incentive is gone. The old women who work there have gradually gotten ruder and ruder as well (yes Julia and sisters, I'm talking about ALL of you). But after spending $23 on two super tacos for them to be super tiny and surrounded by chips and lettuce, and being denied a refund..they've lost a customer completely

Food is consistently delicious. Bay Area staple.Happy steak with black beans and hot sauce always hits.My daughter loves the veggie burrito. The hot sauce is amazing and I want to put it on everything. Plus the people here are super amazing

Fast reliable and courteous service and a great deal for the burritos. This business has been around for a long time and they are family owned. We called to place our order at 5:15pm and got there at 5:30pm to pick up right at closing. We always order the chicken and steak burritos!

Been here 2-3 times and order the baby burrito with chicken add cheese everytime. It's a decent size to get me full for the afternoon. I recommend adding the spicy sauce when you order because the chicken is dry otherwise. There's no seating. You can order at the door or by phone. When you pick up they give you a number placard (what for? Usually there are like 3 people standing outside but anyway) and you wait for your number to be called. When you pay with card, they walk to the back to process it and come back. No signature needed. The order comes in a white plastic bag. Parking during lunch can be challenging but I noticed people make it work. I feel like service is hit or miss. If the food is good, Idc if you're more or less neutral toward customers. But I take it personally when I catch you rolling your eyes, shaking your head, or simply being cold when I am being genuinely respectful. It's just an attitude thing and I don't like to pay money to be disrespected.

I've been going to Happy Burrito restaurant since I was in high school. My favorite items on the menu is the taco combo dinner and burritos. The staff is basically family at this point. I use to enjoy dinning there which was so nice. After COVID, the restaurant only offers take out now.

Good Mexican comfort food. Quick service and affordable. The spicy salsa is delicious.
