Hamburgers El Gordo

If you have a burger craving there's not that many burger places in the South Bay, unless you're going for standard in-n-out burger.Found this place on Yelp, tried it out, and was happy I did! The unassuming food truck had quite a setup, with a covered tent to eat at where each table had the condiments. I ordered two burgers (one was for later) and even reheated it was tasty. Note: It was cash only

The tacos street hot dogs and the hamburgers are so fresh and delicious they are a little hidden gem they are open until 11:00pm the place is clean and they are so friendly you can come and enjoy with family friends or just by yourself always come around 10:00 10:39 and the service is always 100% they treat you as though you have known them all your life very friendly ladies

Absolutely amazing fresh, delicious. Burgers come with fries. Wonderful customer service oriented small establishment, a bit hard to find sort of hidden on a cold evening. Came in late, indecisive and low on cash and I was helped to ordering the right burger for me. Mushrooms and pineapple. I ate while there and it was a very welcoming environment and they have a ton of condiments to try out with your burger and fries.... would definitely come again. Burger was 11 and came with fries. Cash only. Totally recommend!

Menu is pretty minimal. Burgers and hot dogs with different toppings like chorizo, fried egg, jalapeños etc. Tacos are carnitas or al pastor. Al pastor tacos were good, would recommend. My burger was the house special which, as expected, was loaded with chorizo, egg, bacon and what else. Very good, very big. I need to go again to check the more regular burgers.

Makes me think of home! Burgers come with a small side of fries which was perfect sizing! They have desserts on site and it is covered with 2-3 tables, chairs and a heater. 100% I will go back again! The burgers were also done quick and it was priced good!

I was craving a hotdog and it was 10 pm. Down the street was a Wienerschnitzel, but wasn't looking for a known experience. I saw the Yelp reviews and was feeling adventurous, so drove the 15 min to check out this spot.I tried their especial hot dog. It a turkey dog, beef cheese, tomatoes and some other ingredients. I added a little bit of relish. If you are expecting a polish dog size, this is like 3/4 of that (which I think if the typical turkey dog size ‍)? The dog was piping hot, on a cold San Jose night, and it had a mix of tastes and flavors. The best description would be a hot dog with a kinda Mexican flavor twist. I would give this a 4 stars for the hot dog and the unique flavor. It hit the spot, but I was hungry shortly after.The reason for the 3 stars, is the hamburger that I also tried with bacon, and other ingredients just wasn't good. I had a single bite only. It just didn't sit well for me. The other reason, is that even though this is a food truck, I would be aware that people can view you preparing and cooking the food. I would wear gloves, have relish containers prepared in smaller container vs a spoon on the table and using that, etc. It is the small things, but par for the course of a San Jose neighborhood food truck.The places opens late, has outdoor covered seating, customers all know the food truck staff, people come behind the truck to chat, etc. You have a bite and support your friend's spot, kick it and double park your car, walk down the street from the neighborhood, and are just are comfortable being a ways off, from the main part on San Jose downtown. I might come back for the hot dog, but still tbd. I will continue the search, because there really isn't a good hot dog place in the Bay Area. If anyone has recommendations, feel free to message me.

Open until 1130/12 this spot is situated right on Santa Clara street. Street parking was easy to find. So after a wedding down the street me and my fam were hungry and wanted something to eat. We drove to our normal hotdog lady but she was not there so we settled in this. Everyone got the $7 burger that had everything on it. To be honest I was pretty drunk and wasn't paying attention to the menu. Ontop is that, it was all in Spanish anyway. The hamburger had cheese , a patty, tomatoes, white onion, bacon bits, and idk what else. The put mustard and relish on the burger already but i didn't taste it much. The burgers come with some fries as well. The flavor of the burger was really good. The patty itself was thin but was enough considering the other toppings inside. I can't wait to come back on more drunk adventures and try the rest of their menu

Muy sabrosas hamburguesas!!! Con todo el estilo mexicano el servicio es muy bueno y agradable espacio sin dejar de mencionar que mantienen súper limpio todo al rededor !!

Got a burger, burger with cheese, asada taco, and a pastor taco. The burgers come with fries. They were all great. The habanero salsa is super. But, the burger patties were small, approximately 1/6 of a pound. They have some deserts,$4 each. Nice people.
