Guadalajara Restaurant

Came from Fresno into Oakland to make a delivery and this place came highly recommended. I was very impressed with the food. Their customer service is pretty good, although you have to flag them down sometimes. The food was absolutely delicious! The plates are huge and the food is savory. I ended up going for a combo plate and I was not disappointed. If you're worried about the parking or "shady" area, well you'll miss out on the delicious food.

I love their whole friend red snapper. Oh and their margaritas too. Endless chips & salsa to start. This is what keeps me coming back.

Lunch was filling and tasty.The service was consistent and friendly. The value of the food was average but the flavors were good on my Shrimp Diabla plate. My colleague and I both opted out of ordering from the lunch menu to keep us in budget. We ordered from the main menu which most meals are $20 and up.My plate was $29 plus. The area around the restaurant is under renovation so arriving and parking is tricky. There is parking available on the side street the restaurant sits on.

Just okay, all meats other than shredded chicken would be best. They've been located in Fruitvale district for a long time and seems like they don't make an effort to be better. Service okay and there's better Mexican restaurants in Oakland. For the menu prices they could do better in quality of food.

My go-to restaurant in Fruitvale for classic Mexican faire. Always open, solid menu full of all of the usual suspects. Great pozole, nice drinks, some pretty solid chips and salsa. It's not here to blow your mind, but it delivers on consistency, and the staff is very friendly. Oh and they have a couple TVs if you wanna catch a game during your meal.

First of all, I had to admit that I have only gotten tacos at the taco truck and ordered takeout for delivery so I can't really talk about the service inside the restaurant, but I will tell you that the food is top notch. As a native Californian with Hispanic heritage, and someone who has been eating a lot of Mexican food all of their life, I can tell you that this is very authentic and the real deal. If you are in the mood for classic Mexican - those big platters with generous portions, and some of the best chips and salsa to be had north of Mexico. Their mole is rich with layers of flavor- SO GOOD! The Chile Colorado is succulent and savory. Also, their tortillas are so good. The scent of the freshly steamed masa, when the foil packet is opened is like heaven. It's comforting and feels like home. I love the street tacos from the truck and I am a big fan of their chips and pico de gallo. It's hard to come by good chips and pico de gallo as simple as they seem. The pozole is divine. Everything is very fresh and high-quality! I have never been disappointed. I am always delighted, and I am going to make it a point to actually go sit down in the restaurant and eat.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Waiter and waitress were so attentive to all of our needs. My aunt needed some vinegar and they were able to find some for her.

I've never eaten here but I do cater alot from here and it's amazing. I love their salsa and beans and their steak ranchero their enchiladas their salads are always fresh. I love their catering menu and their food!

I got one drink which was good which is why it's receiving the 2 stars, but the service wasnt great, we had to ask for the bill, the lady that took our order only took one person in our parties order, but the real issue was when the bill came, 400+ dollars. It didnt look right so carefully observing the ticket, they charged us for 7 quesadillas (only 4 of us had the quesadillas) and 7 tequila shots (only 4 of us had shots) the waitress gave an excuse that the computer wasn't working, but after 30 minutes of going back and fourth with her, the bill went from over 400 to 250......

the camarones a la diabla ARE A MUST !!! they're spicy but flavorful !!! i can't even explain how much flavor they have , you have to try them . the beans and rice compliment them so well . the drinks are off the hook ' the service is just great ! this is by far the best mexican food i've had near me (i live in el sobrante)
