Ordered a custom gift basket for a friend. They were very attentive and helpful in setting it all up.

For a guy that takes an inordinate amount of photos, I am surprisingly unobservant. This place is just three doors down from the Posh Bagel on Main St. How is it I just noticed this fantastic store? I mean, stores that sell candy and chocolate are my jam. But it was invisible to me.Until today, anyway. I am so happy I finally found it. Because Gourmet Works is much more than a store that sells candy and chocolate. In fact, as the name would suggest, it's more of a Gourmet food store and Gift Shop than a Chocolate Shop. But it's also a hella cool chocolate shop and that's the main reason I will be sure to return. Right when you walk in the door you are surrounded by an astonishingly large variety of items that would make the perfect gift for a loved one, or for yourself. Because, I ain't gonna lie, there were at least a dozen items that I considered buying for myself. I thought to myself, you know, I do so much for me, and it seems I rarely properly thank myself for my devoted patronage and self care.If you are interested in high quality gourmet gifts, Gourmet Works is definitely the place to go! They carry so many products you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Gourmet Salts, Dried Herbs, Pasta Sauces, Dried Pasta, Curry Sauces, Masala Simmer Sauce, Special Preserves and Jams. An impressive, well-curated selection.Then, at the back of the store you find the kind of Chocolate display case that dreams are made of. Oh my Lord! Just the Truffle side alone would be enough to melt anyone's heart. But the other side, with the astonishing variety of hand dipped chocolates is where I lost it.I saw the Almond Bark and stopped dead in my tracks. I stared at that Almond Bark. The Almond Bark stared back at me. We were locked into that stare down for what seemed like an eternity. I was sure neither of us would ever give in.But then I blinked. Somehow I became aware that the wonderful woman behind the counter was asking me if she could help me. As I regained my senses, suddenly I felt so embarrassed. How long had I been staring at that Almond Bark? How many times had she tried to get my attention? I had no idea.I tried to play it off like there was nothing going on between me and that Almond Bark. I casually inquired about some Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt on a totally different shelf in the display case. Then, of course, I had to buy a couple of those Chocolate Covered Carmels with Sea Salt, to cover up the whole situation with me and the Almond Bark. I purchased a couple ordinary, un-chocolate covered Caramels with Sea Salt too.The woman behind the counter couldn't have been more gracious. She didn't let on that she knew exactly what was happening and I wasn't fooling anyone with the whole Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt charade.So, my thanks to Gourmet Works, and the gracious woman behind the counter, Padmaja (her family owns Gourmet Works). Came here for my birthday with some friends and had a great experience! The dude working here was very nice to us and even gave us a free sample of the chocolate caramels, which were absolutely delicious! They were so big and soft and chewy, I bought several of them, as well as a lot of chocolate. I'm already looking forward to the next time I can visit!

I always have a wonderful experience shopping here! Shree was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend coming here for party treats. It's my daughter's birthday and we just bought 16 beautifully individually wrapped chocolate covered marshmallows for her party.

I adore Christmas and holiday decorations - I have walked into countless shops based on window displays, enjoyed the decorations, and walked out without buying anything.I walked in here, immediately loved and bought a beautiful sparkling tree and two electronic candle holders.I love the owner's taste in decor, and based on that, I will be back to try the chocolate. Very polite, friendly, and helpful service :) Thank you!

Love this place even if only for the chocolates. Lots of other cool stuff. Love to stop here every time I am in the area. Service is also really good.

This is a cute gift shop that sells fine chocolates and other candies as well as gifts. Over the years I have purchased an adorable easter bunny mug, guinea pig salt & pepper shakers, and assorted chocolates. On my most recent visit, I tried two types of fudge, chocolate walnut and turtle. Both are very good. I still have one of my guinea pigs, but sadly, someone who will remain nameless broke its mate!

They have finally opened up at the new address in Los Altos. Made my day to be able to go back here to shop. Same great chocolates, gifts and food items. This is family owned business in Los Altos, so the customer service is extra warm and welcoming. I have bought my teachers gifts, holiday hostess items and most recently, last minutes gold treat boxes for my daughters birthday party table. Each time, Gourmet Works customizes the gifts/chocolates according to my budget/taste and creatively gift wraps making the finished product look very special. They really go out of there I highly recommend Gourmet Works if you would like to try their delicious chocolates or browse for some fun gifts.

I used to be a regular but no more. Lately I show up and there's a sign 'be back in 15 minutes'. Sorry I'm not going to stand around and wait. At least say the time you'll be back!
