We recently had dinner here and it was so tasty and such an enjoyable experience! The folks running the place are super friendly and attentive - no empty water glasses here! We had five lovely courses, each unique and delicious, and so well thought out. The sear on the tuna was even all around and so thin, and the scallops were *perfection*. And while I'm not the biggest chocolate person, I was blown away by the balance of flavors and textures in the chocolate cake served for dessert. At the end of the meal we were contentedly full, not overly stuffed. They have a pretty decent wine list for such a small place, and we loved the pinot noir we chose. They change the menu frequently, but if you call and ask, they will text the current one to you. They also mentioned, with a little notice, they can make pescatarian/vegetarian substitutions where needed. We will definitely be back for dinner, and want to try brunch too!

Super small hidden away Hawaiian inspired food in downtown Saratoga. Never knew it was here but thanks to my fellow Yelpers I do! 4.5 stars Food: 4.5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4Cost to worth it rating: 4Opentableable: no reservations online--need to call Return worthiness: yesHighlights:- Loco moco: solid version. Quality seasoned meat patty, good textured rice, and amazing gravy with layers of deep flavors. Only wish is I'd like my egg yolk was runnier. 4.5 stars- Atmosphere: simple diner-like with a counter and stools and few tables to fit 26 people max. Sign that said "strength" with a Japanese character by the door, another that said "happy day," a small speaker with a rainbow fro on top, and a print out of an article.- Friendly staff: nice lady took our order and approved of it ;-)Midlights:- They had some wine, bubbly, and beer in the fridge, but didn't realize it cause it wasn't on the menu: only coffee and tea. Next time I'll get some to pair with my food.Lowlights:- No online reservations or website: need to call for a reservation or for the weekly dinner menu. - Credit card surcharge we didn't realize would be included.Enjoyed this off the beaten path Yelp find and will be back for more loco moco and dinner.

Really enjoyed every bite here at GOGA!GOGA burger had fried onion in it, adding extra crispiness with fresh lettuce. Buns are very soft and give nice scent of butter. My partner said its the best burger he had so far.Loco moco was great - Gravy tasted better than ones I tried at Hawaii :-) And extra spice from white pepper made everything nicer!Coconut pudding(Haupia) was also very good. Its not a hard pudding, its very creamy and has a strong coconut flavor. We enjoyed Tuna tataki here too - we liked how its served with spicy sauce instead of soy sauce based sauce which is often served with.Chef was very friendly, checking every table and sharing stories :-)Its very accessible if you park at Saratoga public parking lot. If you're entering from main street, you'd be able to find standing sign in front of UPS store. There's extra credit card processing fee on top of menu price. I think price is bit high, but my partner thinks all the foods worth every penny. So I'll leave this up to you :-)

Found this hidden gem in the Saratoga area. It's tucked away in a small passage behind the UPS Store, which made it a little hard to find. The restaurant has very limited seating and feels quite cozy and homey. We came here for brunch and walked in right at opening time. The menu is à la carte and offers a variety of classic brunch dishes inspired by Californian-Asian cuisine. We ordered three dishes to share: seared rare tuna sashimi with wasabi potato salad, American wagyu steak and fries, and an ahi poke bowl. The salad was our favorite. The tuna had great texture and was perfectly seared on the outside. The wasabi added a refreshing element, and the crispy potato fries contributed an extra layer of texture. It was a very well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted dish. The steak was cooked beautifully as well and paired perfectly with the truffle mushroom sauce.

I'm a huge fan of this dish, and theirs is by far the most flavorful and authentic I've ever had. It was amazing. I'll definitely be returning for more!"

We walked in not knowing it was a set menu for dinner Luckily chef Brad was super cool and let us get a burger and poke The poke tasted almost as good as straight from hawaii! It was definitely worth it...I wish I had more. The burger was pretty much a standard cheeseburger, but it has a really good crust on the burger and there were crispy onions on em too. Sooooo delicious The fries were perfectly crispy as well!We definitely have to come back to try brunch and the set dinner menu.We also liked the vibe of the place! It was intimate and chill. Chef Brad was attentive and super nice as well!

I had been wanting to try GOGA for sometime and finally glad to say it happened. GOGA is a restaurant located in Saratoga, CA, right next to Art Students Atelier. If you map GOGA, it will generally take you to the Main Street area but would recommend looking for the street alley way that takes you behind the "destination" area as you'll find a parking lot that is right in front of the restaurant. The space is very intimate. There were a handful of tables and seats at the bar facing an open kitchen format. If you would like to make reservations, call the restaurant. I called 20 mins before coming in, they told us the wait time and asked if we'd like to make a reservation which I will never say no to. We arrived and got seated right away. I ordered the Crab Benedict and my partner ordered the Loco Moco and got the Blueberry French Toast to share. There were 2 people working (at least from what I could see) and it was still a good experience. I try to be understanding in these instances since it was getting busy and it was just the 2 of them. At one point I really thought they forgot about my Crab Benedict because we finished the French Toast and Loco Moco and kind of just sat there with empty plates in front of us. The server finally came with the Crab Benedict and I dug in as soon as it hit the table. So glad I was able to try the Loco Moco because it was probably the best Loco Moco I had in a while. I will say the Blueberry French Toast was VERY underwhelming, so I'm glad the Crab Benedict came when it did because it redeemed the rest of my meal. The hollandaise sauce was creamy, the crab was fresh and even the hash browns were light and crispy.

Goga is an outstanding addition to the Saratoga downtown scene. Great food and amazing people! Brad and Helen are great at what they do and wonderful hosts.I can see some folks coming here and expecting something different. Know that the decor is simple and it's very small. This is not a high end restaurant in terms of decor but high end when it comes to service and the food. There are only 2 staff members here...think small restaurant in France in the countryside serving great food. I had dinner here last night and got the prix fixe menu. Everything we ate was delectable with beautiful presentation and great flavors. This restaurant is clearly a labor of love for Brad and Helen and I wish them the very best.I do worry about the location which is not visible from the main road and there is no signage on the main road. The only way to enter is directly from the parking lot off the main road. We need to get the word out regarding Goga. Let's go Yelp!

TLDR; Great food and service with a smileWe came here for brunch for my wife's birthday, and what a great choice GOGA was. It was the two of us plus our two kids. The restaurant and our experience was absolutely lovely. We didn't realize this until we walked up to the restaurant, but there is a parking lot for the restaurant which we will use next time (it's quite large and much easier to get to GOGA from that parking lot as they're located behind the main street). The restaurant has a very intimate feel, and I believe the owners (I believe chef and wife) started this concept in Asia. There are a limited number of tables, so you probably want to make a reservation. That said, the seats are nicely spaced, and we felt like it was an intimate dining experience. We loved the feel of the open kitchen, and everything was so clean (including their spacious toilet).Service was great from the time I made the reservation to the time I left. They even accommodated our dog (he's a small Shih-Tzu), thought I would have understood if they preferred no dogs. I will commend them for making sure any dogs that come in are well behaved and respectful of the ambiance and other guests. Now to the food - WOW! Everything felt like it was made from scratch with quality ingredients. On that note, I believe they cook from scratch and to order, so you will need to wait a tad longer than typical restaurants for your food. The food is also plated with care - not over the top, but definitely nicely presented to show there is a care to their food craft. Here's what we had: * French Toast: This was delicious - french toast was perfection, not too eggy, not overly sweet; the tart berries with the syrup and touch of creme were great * Loco Moco: Our "foodie" son loved this, and what I was able to try was delicious. The flavors were very well balanced, and the beef patty was cooked to perfection (I hate is when the beef is dry and overcooked) * Crab Cakes Benedict: This was exactly what I was looking for - an order of two hit the spot for me. They ran out of crab cakes and used fresh crap instead, and I dare say it may have been even better than being in a crab cake form * Taco: This was also delicious and had the perfect balance of flavors - the outside shell was very tasty and crispy, almost like a birria. We didn't have room for dessert (and had to leave for our son's tennis match), but we'd like to come back again for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and our dining experience. Also, as icing on the cake, when the bill came, their recommended tips are PRIOR to taxes. I'm not sure I've seen anyone else do this, and while it's not a big difference to the final bill, it just exudes a sense of doing the right thing. Bravo!Even if you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and give GOGA a try. While I'd love to keep them a secret, I'd like even more for GOGA to succeed!

We went for the prix fixe dinner on a Thursday night. Reservations were easy. The restaurant was quiet, but cold; wear a wrap. Our dinner and the service were fantastic. The portions were reasonable, neither huge nor tiny. We were comfortably full at the end of our meal. Everything was very fresh with no overly-fussy details. I especially enjoyed the shrimp with pomelo, and the lamb chop was heavenly. The other two courses were very close behind. For a very special meal, the cost was fine. I wish we could go weekly.
