I still come here 2-3 times a month! Legit my fav Mongolian bbq place I've ever been to and I've been to a lot. Look at my plate! Totally loaded up good. I love their beef it high quality with minimal fat. Their sauces are always so rich and never diluted. My fav is the curry, garlic, hot oil, bbq and teriyaki. I throw all that on my meat and veggies for a flavorful combo. My fav veggies is the broccoli, onion, green onion, mushrooms, corn, zucchini! I love this place and had such a wonderful lunch today. I wanted to address the smoke a few people commented on. I was there the day it was smoky, their vent broke. It was a weird one off thing luckily.

First thing that I step inside was this insane smoke smell in the restaurant. But at least the owner/staff was very friendly. He greeted me and my group. He told us to find a seat and told us that it is two bowls at the bar. Even at the bar, I couldn't stop sneezing and coughing. I even heard the children coughing as well. This place needs better ventilation....The food selection is good. After cooking the food, the sauce stays so it's not as waterdown as other places nearby. So that was a bonus. Also being that it was 80 degrees today, it was a bit warm in the room to eat.... so I was uncomfortable at the same time that I couldn't really breathe inside.... due to the smoke.... Overall. This place is good if only had better ventilation...

If you've never had Mongolian bbq then Gobi is a good place to start. The food will be put together by you including what sauces you like. So at the end it should be decent to good enough. It took some time for my sons to get it down to exactly what they wanted but now it's one of their favorite meals. Service is always very polite and friendly. The environment is not much of note, but at least they have tvs.

Not only do they have extremely amazing food that I end up driving from Santa Cruz to get since I moved, they have amazing staff! The restaurant is comfortable my favorite date spot and I love to go back and grab some ice cream when we're done! Besides the food the owner is a remarkably great man! He drove from Sunnyvale to BOULDER CREEK to return my dad's left wallet. An actual angel sent to us! I can't wait to go back and bring everyone who can fit in my car!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Mongolian bbq experience here! I didn't know places like these existed outside of the genghis khan Mongolian bbq place inside malls (pls dont judge), so I was delighted to find a place like this existed. You start with two empty bowls and just stack as much ingredients as you want. It was kind of fun to Tetris everything in a chaotic way. I would suggest starting with some flat meats, then add noodles, and then more meat on top for one bowl. The other bowl can be for veggies. There's a station for sauce where they have recommended combinations of sauces to get a certain taste. I did a mix of the gobi special and the spicier version. The food was cooked so quickly on the big grill! It was so cool to see it in action. Owner came by and said there's fried wonton chips, rice, soda and vanilla ice cream we could grab too! My lunch was 16.99 (with tax around 18.50). Not bad because I took half of it home for dinner. I think they historically take cash but I saw a visa and Mastercard sticker on their entrance podium. Still paid cash though. I'd rate this place 4/5 because the flavor of my meal was lacking even though I followed the recommended ratios for sauces. But the homey and authentic experience is 5/5. I would definitely come again for a fun lunch with coworkers.

Our first time here... heard about it from some friends who liked it because it is cheaper than the place closer to home, offers take out boxes for leftovers, and the ice cream machine works. :)Cheap meals for kids! Under $5 for 3-6 year olds and under $8 for 7-10 year olds... and I assume under 3 years old eats free. Weekday Lunch $14.99Dinner/Weekend/Holiday $16.49Adult meals get 2 bowls to fill. Kids get 1 bowl.Dine-in includes soft serve ice cream cone. Fried wonton, rice, and soup is also included. Soda/Hot Tea is extra ($2.50) with refills when dining in. Meats: Chicken, Beef, Pork, Imitation Crab, Hot Dog. Lamb is offered in the evenings and weekends. Veggies: onions, cabbage, spinach, bean sprouts, zucchini, carrots, Jalepenos, pineapple, tofu, corn, tomato, water chestnut, parsley, broccoli, celery, green onion, mushrooms. Sauce: garlic, Gobi soy sauce, chili sauce, Gobi bbq, sweet & sour, teriyaki, curry, cooking oil, Kung Pao, spicy hot oil. Seasonings: Cajun, Cayenne Pepper, Seasoning salt, garlic powder, vinegar, sriracha, soy, salt, pepper, sesame seeds. If you are SUPER hungry, you can do a second trip for only $6 for 2 bowls... but then no take out. The Mongolian noodle was good, and my kids appreciated the white rice, and soft serve too. The soup we will likely pass on next time. :P

It's really spacious and the workers here are passionate about providing good service. I was immediately helped out from when I entered till when I left the door. Many thanks to the employees for providing such a positive experience!

I regularly visit Gobi with groups from work and even more regularly with friends. I have always had a fantastic meal wanting me to go back for seconds or thirds!! The staff are so welcoming and recognizably friendly! I love the feel of the establishment definitely somewhere I'd like to bring my friends and family for dinner! Not only do they run a fantastic restaurant but they are fantastic people the owner went out of his way to return my wallet to my house an hour away from the restaurant up in the crazy mountain roads. Really excited to go back and so grateful to their family spending that time!

Loved this place . As a vegetarian was impressed with the vegetables available as well as the fact that they cleaned the grill for us . The lady helped me select the sauces and the amounts of them and I asked the griller to make it crispy . The wonton chips and ice cream was really good . The sauces were yumm though not sure if any had fish . Overall loved the place .

Best Mongolian bbq place I've been to so far. It's not all you can eat but has fair pricing, a good selection, and a great owner/server that really knows how to mix his sauces!- Not all you can eat but pricing is fair (first set of bowls is standard price and then the second set is $6) but you'll likely be full after your first portion if you know what you're doing- you're able to get two small bowls at the start, the technique seems to be load one up with noodles and load the other with vegetables and meat-good selection of meats and vegetables - owner/server is really kind and helps people make their dishes when it comes to the sauces! Idk what he did but the combo he made tasted amazing, and is what made the experience five stars for me- wonton chips, soup, rice, and soft serve come with the meal- ambience isn't much but standard for what you'd expect at a Mongolian bbq place-you pay at the stand at the front when you're done- overall highly recommend!
