I've been shopping there for decades. I buy all the southern products, seasonings, meat, produce, and their cakes. The candies and bean pies too .

I go here to get everything I know is going to be sold for the holidays when all the other grocery stores run out .. if you need turkey wings and greens on Thanksgiving go here !!! You need Gumbo ingredients trust me go here !!! You want a seafood boil this is the place to be !! I know I know deep East Oakland but so what !!! In and out !!meat market!! Customer Service was cool !! I would recommend and go back !!

I'm giving this store 3stars because of the prices. Some items are reasonable others are outrageous. So if i could of given 2.5 stars i would. But I rounded up because i really like the butcher shop located in the back of the store. The prices are good and so is the selection. This store is located in a urban area so they have many items that you won't find at a Safeway bc they specifically cater to the black and hispanic community. There is a Krispy Krunchy located inside, as well as a hot food lunch counter. The store isn't very big. They do have many items that you won't find at larger grocery chains but I don't feel like they can really compete overall.This is a great place for fresh meat and one off items, but much too expensive to grocery shop.

This place is under newish management. I will say the whole store smells a lot better. I really only go here to pick up last minute items. The meat department is impressive. I'm not sure why we need to pay for meat in the back and then pay for other things by a at the front. I always have experienced friendly service.

Love this neighborhood store! Danny is the Man! Very convenient to get to and sometimes have some good deals!

I like the store a lot, because they have so much seasonings, and a Halal meat market. But they're very overpriced upside. No one bothers you when you're shopping, but they don't ever ask if you need anything either. Overall, I like the store because they have a lot of different things.

I always come to this store but they have for sure lost a customer, the security guard is so rude. I dropped some eggs, the lady charged me for a new one so I went to grab it, the security guard told me to show them to the cashier otherwise I wasn't allowed to leave, i said are you serious... mind you I spent over $90 on meat and $70 on groceries. He's like "idc if you're mad" I said please don't talk to me he told me to fuck off. So rude and unprofessional.

I love this store and you can tell it is under new management. I love the fact that you now have the option for Halal Products and the store is much cleaner and the staff is efficient.The one issue i have is the bakery. Gazali's had an excellent bakery where you could purchase fresh cakes baked daily. I have been to the market several times to purchase a few of those cakes since January till now (April 2024 - just called to inquire today about the oven repair and as I understand it the oven is STILL not working and there don't seem to be any plans that I can tell for repair. The fresh bakery was one of the highlights of the store. It is my sincerest hope that they will repair the oven and get back to baking those cakes instead of the common packaged ones which by the way taste awful!!!It's one of the many things that put Gazali's ahead of its other competition.

Over priced and their staff is rude. They treat black customers like they are invisible until it's time to take their money.
