Good was great. Ambiance feels like a hole in the wall, but that was certainly not a bad thing. I will certainly be returning.

Turkish DelightFormerly located at the Bowers Plaza on El Camino, Garlic Mediterranean has been serving up Turkish food since 2016. They've been in these current digs for ±2 years and are one of the few restaurants serving up legit Turkish cuisine in the South Bay.The Good:*Friendly service*Fast-casual order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. *In the same strip mall as Stan's Donuts (IYKYK)*Large shared parking lot*Clean, modern décor and I'm a fan of their branding. *Pricing is well in-line with portion size*They actually have their meat on a vertical rotisserie (aka spit) which doesn't seem like much, but to me this is an important sign, to me at least. *Saw reviews mentioning the Ayran (aka "yoghurt drink") and I decided to give it a whirl. It's only three ingredients: yogurt, water, and salt, but the taste was actually quite refreshing.*Carissa enjoyed her Greek salad with added chicken Gyro meat, and actually had a hard time finishing it. Luckily I'm always around to clean her plate. *oink oink* :8)*I'd never seen or heard of an Iskender Kebab before, but after the lady at the counter informed me of what it was, I knew I had to try it. It's their combo lamb-beef dönner meat served over pita and topped with a tomato sauce and served with a heaping helping of yogurt. This dish was stupendous! The meat was juicy and flavorful and the tomato sauce was earthy and sweet, the perfect foil for the unctuos meat. But, I'll have to say, my favorite part was the yogurt that brought everything together into one harmonious bite. The Meh:*Standard two-top outdoor seating. Nothing really special but it gets the job done. The Ugly:*This is huge pet peeve of mine, but I really don't like when they put olives with pits in them in salads. #1 it makes no sense and #2 they're opening themselves up to a customer busting their teeth biting into one. Ask me how I know it's possible. 0_o Conclusion: Fantastic Turkish food at a great price point in a pleasant and relaxing environment.

New favorite spots to eat! I came in for my late lunch to get the chicken gyro plate. There were two or three workers on a Monday night, working their butts off to get everyone's order out in a timely fashion. I knew this place was good when I saw how busy they were. It wasn't long before my Togo order was brought out by the beautiful waitress. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming, not a huge space but big enough maybe able to accommodate 20-30ish people. The service was good. The food was excellent. The meat and rice were packed separately from the bread to prevent soaking I assume. The hummus was amazing! Served with a yogurt and spice sauce. The salad was good too. Total was with tip! Can't wait to be back with coworkers

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've ever been to. I go there all the time and every time, the owners are super helpful and nice, and the food is fantastic (they even gave us more free pita bread when they realized we went through it too quickly!). Its so good that I have brought all my friends here too, and they all love it as well. I can't recommend it enough, you really need to drop by.

"Simple good food though not a thrill, At Garlic Mediterranean Grill."The fare at Garlic is very competent. Shaved meats are tasty, the hummus creamy with a hint of kick, the salad refreshing. Standard for Mediterranean food -- one really needs to mess up badly to make these time proven recipes taste bad. And Garlic does not mess up. Service is polite and extremely quick. Ambience is airy and anonymous... exactly what one needs sometimes. A solid neighbourhood spot for a quiet meal. True score: 8.0 / 10. Return? YES.

Was on a trip in San Jose near Steven Creek Blvd. One of the Sales guy recommended this Mediterranean spot and to order #1 special. I said, why not, I am always open to try any food good or recommended.Off I went to Garlic Med Grill and ordered the #1 plate combo of Beef/Lamb. Don't ask me why I ordered it bc I am not a Lamb person. The plate came out fresh ' hot with freshly made naan type bread served with rice/salad.Food was decent and honestly shouldn't have ordered the lamb combo. Nevertheless the service was great and place was clean with easy parking access.Perhaps next time I am close by, I will try another dish as their Menu is quite extensive.

We ordered for delivery - an Afghan pizza (lahmacun) and an adona kabob. If you've never tried lahmacun, you should definitely give it a try. It's lavash bread made from scratch with ground beef and a light tomatoe sauce baked in. It is not really "pizza" in the Italian sense and it isn't cheesy, but it's fantastic. It's somewhere between an appetizer and a meal - probably best for two people to share as an appetizer. The Adana kabob meal is a singular kabob with a small side salad, a bit is hummus, and babaganoush (eggplant dip). I really loved the babaganoush! The kebab was good but not amazing. However, I acknowledge that everything would have tasted better in the restaurant when it was straight out of the kitchen. Doordash did a good job, but still... hot and fresh out of the oven is always best. I think the Afghan pizza would have had a crispier crust as well if it was served in the restaurant. A styrofoam to go dish holds in steam and textures change a bit. Still... I definantly recommend trying this place and experiencing the Afghan pizza.

Oh please visit!!! We've been to Turkey and get a variety of foods - my favorite is Lahmacun and he has it and makes it so good... seriously so good when we visit in Turkey well in the touristy areas when you order ... it's filled a lot more w onions ... (inflation) you are having to cross the Bosphorus to get it the way he prepares it here...Very meaty w onions and salad. We order 3 and have tea.

Was dissatisfied and disappointed when I door dash the food. The picture and the description all sounded so good but when I received the food , it's a different story.1) the price and the quantity of food don't match 2) I order chicken and lamb skew. Only small 3 pieces per skew. Other places with same price have 4 large pieces.3) the tastes is so so.Not going to try this place again.Go try it yourself and let me know what you think.

The Ambiance is a relaxing one, definitely a come as you are. The cashier was very sweet, very helpful & gave amazing customer service!! The older gentleman that served me my Turkish coffee made the best I EVER HAD!!! The Lamb gyro plate was phenomenal, think cuts of tender Lamb steak cut to fit into delicious bites. Everything was delicious & was worth it!! My hubby had the Turkish pizza & it had so much flavor that was very surprising & very delicious to eat!! Portions are very generous & everything is seasoned/flavored to perfection. Will definitely make the trip from the East-bay here!!
