Their bread is spectacular and has been since I've been going here in the last 5-6 years. It's just street parking for the most part so if it's lunch time and busy, you might be hard pressed to find a spot but it's worth it.The line can get long but it moves really quickly and note that it's cash only. They have an ATM inside if you need to use it before you order your sandwich. I've had a bunch of different sandwiches and they've all been delicious. Honestly, anything that you get between their bread is going to be good. It's warm, crusty on the outside but soft enough to bite through without the roof of your mouth getting tore up. The people working there are super friendly and it's just a great spot to grab lunch.

Fresh sourdough bread deli sandwiches, set price, comes with a pickle, cash only. This place is modeled exactly the same as California Sourdough on Murphy Ave/Oakland Rd. I'd be surprised if these 2 places weren't related.I got the #14 Pastrami and Turkey with everything. Excellent sandwich and very substantial amount of food. I will say the bread was not as fresh as when I had it at California sourdough. I also felt like the sandwich construction here was not up to par. Still really good though! I'll definitely go here if it's convenient.

Although this is a cash only business and it may be an inconvenience since a lot of us rely on Apple Pay/card the subs are SO delicious. My go to is the #1 and I add avocado to it, I eat half of it during my lunch (they are HUGE) and the other half later on or even the next day for lunch again.

Great spot to go to for lunch. This place is cash only, but don't fret they have a ATM machine inside. This is probably my fourth time here. The staff are so nice, definitely a family vibe. The food is always on point. I'm not a sourdough fan, but somehow find myself back here every once in a while! I customized my sandwich and instead of Swiss cheese I got cheddar. The sandwich comes with a side of pickle too (optional).

Freshly made sandwiches! This place is definitely a hidden gem next to St James Park. My second time coming to this spot and never disappoint. The workers are quick to welcome you and make you feel welcomed and not rushed at all! I got the Pastrami and Turkey sandwich and left happy as a little kid on their birthday!

Wow, the sourdough roast beef sandwich is legit. My friend brought me one for lunch and it was still nice and toasty when I ate it. I loved all the condiments that accompanied this massive sandwich. The bread was toasty and warm, and the roast beef with Dijon mustard really hit!

I've been eating at Freshly Baked Eatery for over a decade and this is the best sandwich in all of San Jose. Fresh bread, ingredients, and meat make this a 10/10 sandwich. Fast efficient service even at peak lunch hours. I avoid those crowds as much as possible so I come before the lunch rush or after for a fast pick up. You can always call in your order but I've never had a delay when ordering in person. Service is fast and friendly. View their menu but be ready to make a choice and know what you don't want in your sandwich. I'm a fan of their Turkey & Pastrami. A delicious combination on their delicious bread. I still remember walking in when I was in college to a freshly sliced bread with the steam rising out being shown to me before my sandwich was made. Memories! Plenty of space to sit outside and inside. Gets packed quick so keep that in mind when looking for a table. Variety of chips and drinks. I'm no longer close to the area but wheneverI'm around the corner you better believe I'll be stopping in for a sandwich CASH in hand ready to devour the first half in my car right away. ATM available inside if you forget CASH.

Love this place and customer service is great. Food is amazing sandwich bread is taste the only thing I should have asked for was more meat but can't complain 5 star for sure.

WHAOAOAOAO,I love the sour dough bread here. SOLID sandwich with a really big portion. I got the roast beef and I'll definitely come back for how great the bread was!There's a lot of seating and it had a nice view of the park with an aesthetic alley to sit in as well. Update with coming back:Sandwiches are overall really solid!Service can be a little slow during rush hour but you can call ahead!Keep in mind the place is cash only and you gotta find street parking.
