If you need a quick pastry fix, Firebrand is a great solution. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to get it, but I would recommend it as a place to meet up with friends or catchup with coworkers. What Firebrand has going for them is a welcoming space. Lots of outdoor seating and generous indoor seating. What Firebrand lacks is basically the quality of their products. Scones are dry, croissants are hard, and chai lattes watered down. They are in my opinion a tier up from Costco pastries but not quite high enough to be a french patisserie. Overall would recommend if you're conveniently in the area.

Found out the Garry Y was visiting from Honolulu and staying in Alameda. Messaged him and we arranged a meet-up for lunch at Firebrand since he hasn't been out in Alameda Pt since all the redevelopment that has occurred there. We arrived at 11:15 on a Wednesday and found a space in the lot in front. If it is full, they have a second lot across the street. Checking out the menu posted at the entrance, we decided on what we were going to order. Their toast items are served until 11am, breakfast items until 1:30pm and starters, sandwiches, pizzas, soups and salads starts at 11am. After placing our orders, we found an empty table on the kitchen end of the dining area and placed the order number on the table. There are about ten tables inside and there are tables in the patio outside. The utensils, condiments and a self-serve water dispenser are at the counter. Orders were brought out within ten minutes.Crispy Pork and Jam sandwich - with choice of croissant or honey biscuit. I opted for croissant and the sandwich had a generous portion of sliced pieces of pork, which was moist and flavorful. It was topped with a fried over medium egg and some blackberry jam. The pork edges were brown, but not crispy per the name. But it was not important to me as the sandwich was delish. Order came with a generous portion of slightly crispy country potatoes with a slightly spicy aioli. My friend had the daily soup, butternut squash and the house salad and they were happy with their food.Having gotten a matcha croissant on my previous visit, I'm glad I came back for their menu items. Will be back again for the pork sandwich and maybe other items.

Came by for a quick lunch and it was so delicious! The ambiance, environment, food, and drinks were amazing! This is the perfect spot to go to for a casual bite on a weekend while being next to the water. They had outdoor and indoor seating available. Service was quick as well.THE FOOD:Wagyu Roast Beef Sandwich--10/10 the beef was tender, juicy, and flavorful! Jicama Salad--9/10 super crisp and refreshing, but the jicama chunks were a little too big but overall delicious!Buko Pandan Latte--9/10 I love that it tasted strong with a perfect blend of pandan flavorStrawberry Matcha Latte--9/10 the strawberry flavor was very apparent which sometimes other places lack! Though was a little bit on the sweeter side.Hazelnut Pastry--10/10 SO GOOD I love that they had a hint of cinnamon in the pastry. Would totally get again.

Fresh breads and pastries, coffee and good luncheon fare. My fave is the ube latte. I've tasted better pastries but there's something special about coming here so I treat myself occasionally. Check it out!

My second visit was much better than the first. I was disappointed the first visit when my side salad was just a pile of greens and my sandwich was just ok. This time I opted for the fries. Much better. The black burger was delish. It was flavorful and hearty. The bun was incredibly fresh, fluffy and amazing. One of the best burgers I've had in a very long time.Parking is easy with overflow available across the street. We arrived around 12:45 on a Wednesday afternoon and the lunch rush seemed steady, but reasonable. Food was served promptly within maybe 10-15 minutes. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available.

Came here for a big group lunch in Alameda. The food was good and the pastries were even better.Would have given this place 5 stars but the Caesar salad we got came without dressing and when we asked for it they gave us a small thing of it and when we asked for more they said we would have to wait in the (loooong) line to pay and buy another. Was willing to pay on the spot but they wouldn't accept.

Cute café with dog and family friendly outside patio seating. It is counter service with a decent menu, covering pastries, toast sandwiches, and a large variety of beverages. Note toast is only served until 11 AM. There is a wide range of pastries, including gluten-free and vegan. The pastries were just OK, but I saw a juicy cheeseburger slider plate that I'd like to return to try. They also have Strauss soft serve ice cream, but it was not very smooth and a bit icy. We did enjoy the strawberry Matcha. Prices were reasonable for Bay Area.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and waited in a short line to get a couple savory pastries. All of the food was delicious and there was plenty of space to sit since it's a giant warehouse building. Overall, I would definitely return.

This review is for the Bella Pizza and a chai latte with Almond milk. The pizza had a crispy crust but soft chewy inside. I like Arugula so I enjoyed the pizza like a salad with bread. The pizza service was as expected in the wait time posted even on a busy Sunday afternoon. My latte was ready a few minutes after I sat down at a table. The restaurant is a pleasant place for a casual lunch.
