The plate serves everything.....meat, rice, DALO, mango salsa and to my surprise tonight, they included tomato chutney! YUM! YUM! YUMMY!!!! They don't skimp on the meat either.Keep up the great work family, love having some home-cooked DELICIOUS food! Looking forward to meeting the incredible people who are feeding me! Much love

Wish I could give them more stars but had to throw most of the food away just couldnt eat it. Guy who took our order was nice. Food was just not good. Palusami tasted spoiled probably frozen than fired up, the oka kind of dish looked good, but was frozen so it ended up being nasty. The cassava cake was good though.

We have tried the Fijian Indian food at this place a couple of times and It has always been very good. We usually get their chicken curry, fish and chips and their very popular chicken puloa. Many of these dishes come with dal and chapati. The couple who run this place are very friendly and they do their best to get you the dishes even when they are running out and closing.I would highly recommend this place. If you are planing for a hike in the weekend in Garin park this would be a great place to stop by for a good lunch after the hike.

Vuvale is Fijian for family and that is what Fijian BBQ's Hayward food truck makes you feel like from beginning to end. You feel like they are opening their home to you between the food made with love that comes out of their food truck and their friendly and welcoming demeanor. With 100% halal meats from locally owned businesses or directly from the South Pacific, you are helping support communities local to us and them.We got the New Zealand Lamb BBQ with lamb palau, lamb sausage, mango salad, and taro and the Fijian take of fish and chips with Fiji style fried salmon and taro fries. The sausage in the lamb BBQ had more heat than expected so the fried salmon is more up my alley and I could eat those taro fries all day. Vinaka Fijian BBQ for bringing us a taste of Fiji to the Bay Area.

I tried the Fish and Taro fries and a Lamb BBQ place and enjoyed them equally.First, the Fish and Taro fries. The fish had a seasoning that included tumeric, it had a tiny bit if heat to it, a light batter and the fish was very moist. Paired with the taro fries this was a nice rounded out meal with a decent portion.Second was the New Zealand Lamb BBQ. The lamb is cut thin with the bone included. A mild bit of heat and with nice charring. I found this to be the center stage item and the best tasting. This was paired with a lamb sausage, which after eating it was a Medium heat and had a long afterburn. A moist sausage that remind me of a Merguez. All of this was on top of lamb Palau (https://www.savoringfiji.com/recipe/fijian-chicken-palau/). served with a piece of taro and mango salad. I found this portion to be larger than the fish and taro.Again I enjoyed them equally and would definately get them again.Items I did not try, but was very interested in was the Kokoda which was the Mahi Mahji ceviche. I also saw they had Cassava cake too. They also had Palusami (sweet corned beef) also on the menu.I ordered my food when I arrived, and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I parked in the dirt lot and took the food home to eat.Throughly en joyed this and would definately return.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. No line, but food took 15-20 min to cook. Nice that it's cooked fresh, and we took the opportunity to walk around the local street fare while we waited. We got the mahi mahi fish and taro chips. My kids love fried fish, but the youngest found it too spicy (he's very sensitive). I loved the fish, it was my favorite out of everything I ordered. My kids loved the taro chips. I also got the lamb plate with the palau. Tasty. My daughter liked the lamb. The sausage had a bit of kick to it. I got extra mango salad instead of the cassava. Generous portion of food. I'd definitely come back. They said they're here during the weekends. Check out their Instagram for their latest locations.

Fijian BBQ is parked in a dirt lot at C St & Main St. speciality is Fijian BBQ. it has a passing similarity to Guam & Samoan BBQ. offerings: Lamb, Chicken & short rib bbq, ceviche, salads, desserts, combos.Eats: Combination BBQ combo (18) taro, mango salad, short rib, bbq chicken, lamb BBQ, lamb sausage, lamb palau (seasoned bamatic rice)-mango salad was fresh, tangy. taro "cake" has real taro flavor. -didn't see any lamb bbq, got 2 slices short rib which was tasty, cooled fast.-lamb sausage taste very subtle, the bbq sauce kicked up the flavor.-palau (rice) flavor was a fusion of many condiments. was aromatic. -bbq chicken was moist, semi-tender, not much flavor, bbq sauced it. *BBQ doesn't hold heat long. eat ASAP. great value!one table available for sit down dining.

We decided to stop here for an impromptu pick-up. This is a food truck and there is no real place to sit or stand and eat. We got the BBQ combo plate and the ceviche (kokoda) since they were out of the fish and chips unfortunately.Food was good. The BBQ combo is enough to feed two fairly easily. The grilled lamb was awesome, as was the grilled chicken. The lamb sausage was not too much to our taste, it was a little greasy. The rice (palau) was also decent. The ceviche was a little small, agreed it is listed as a side. We should have asked beforehand. Also, it was not too heavy on the fish. It was interesting to try, but I doubt we will get it again. The food is interesting and definitely worth trying. We might go when we feel like trying Fijian food again. Good that it is located in the heart of downtown Hayward.

The Ceviche looks so good in the picture, but what I got looked more like the synthesized protein from The Matrix.
