I have not visited Zoya for a while due to COVID but recently discover this super delicious addictive healthy Rye bread that I cannot stop eating. Price is reasonable, always fresh. I picked up some Rudd Russian fish and secretly wish they have the white fish I can get in the city. Hope you find this info useful

Very nice, helpful lady (owner?) at the register. I bought the lamb piroshki and frozen golubci. Just tried the piroshki now. Delicious. Can't wait to try the golubci and other food there. I will definitely return. Pros: - cheerful lady who was very nice when I tried to speak Russian :-)- facility very organized and clean looking- the piroshki was stored cold - most likely below 41 F, which is important for food safety. I heated it up perfectly at home.Cons:None

I've been living in Fremont for more than 20 years. I've been shopping in Gastronom Kiev for almost 11 years. First at their Fremont location and now in Newark.Alex, the owner, is doing a really good job of keeping and expanding his business. I never ever got expired products from them. They have a new shipment every Thursday.Whenever I need something that they don't have, I call the store. They order it immediately and call me when it arrived (usually the next Thursday). This store is a gem! So good to have them around! Thank you!!!PS For some reason Yelp.com is filtering my legitimate review. This is really strange and disappointing...

The worst store ever. I've been there 3 times and will never go again. The first time was ok, the owners were friendly, they asked me if I found everything I wanted and gave me 10% discount for my next purchase. When I came the second time, I saw a box with some sweets and mold on the top. How could they not notice that in their small store? I was a bit concerned but decided to come again for some Russian food that is so hard to find in other stores. This time (today) I found an expired Austrian bologna sausage and couldn't keep silent so I showed it to them. Guess what? They told me that it comes already expired to the store and some people buy it. They didn't even apologize and the sausage stayed where it was. When I came home I decided to check all my products from that store and found cheese that expired 12 days ago. I brought it back to the store and when the owner saw me he smiled and said that he saw me taking expired cheese but it had a reduced price already... No apologies of course, and I'm pretty sure that the cheese went back to the fridge. I hope that my review prevents someone from buying expired products from that store.

Great place for hard to find tasty goodies from Europe, from beer to harder beverages, from charcuterie to caviar , from candy to spices, and a whole lot more! Solid selection with reasonable prices will save you a grocery trip to San Francisco!

I love this place. It is so conveniently located and they have all the necessities I need from a Russian store. Recently I went there and the owner suggested to try homemade chicken pate and beef and lamb samsas. So I purchased them. They were so delicious that my daughter who doesn't like lamb loved it. I loved the pate. It was light and so yummy. Will definitely recommend it.

Good store if you are from former USSR. Here you can find almost anything: buckwheat, bologna (doktorskaya kolbasa), all sorts of sweets, herring and more and more...

We live in America about 20 years, we really love to live here but still not able to forget Ukraine and Russia. And this nostalgia place is European Food & Liquor with friendly and all time courteous owner Efim. We can buy here special sausage or sour cream, or Russian style medicine. Efim already ready to order something we do not find now in his store. So, Efim, thank you very much for your job and wish you to live and work for a long time! Iren Timof

Fresh European bread, smoked fish. No other place within a reasonable distance offers these goods.
