The service was great and stellar, so great in fact we could not tell them we didn't like our food. We ate everything, it wasn't gross, we just didn't like it. We did mention it jokingly because we didn't want to be rude. I have never had filet mignon 'boiled' before, it was their special for Valentine's Day with crab. It tasted boiled, don't know how they prepared it. My party ate it instead of me. The beef bouriguignon was not salted enough but better than my 'boiled' filet mignon. The filet mignon special was probably good, just not what I liked and expected..

We came here for a date night and loved the food, but a bit dismayed by the service. Small narrow restaurant but the tables are spaced out in a way where we had ample of privacy for our date. The most disappointing part of this place was the service. The waitress did not seem interested at all in serving us, and when she finally did come by would put on THE fakest smile. When you have $500 caviar on the menu (not that we ordered it...) the service better sweep you off your feet!Regardless, we enjoyed the food and drinks. I liked my red wine (though there aren't too many options for red wine by the glass), and appreciated that they offer half glass additional pours, so you can sample various wines within a more reasonable budget. The salmon pate was a nice appetizer to start with, easily spreadable. My husband loved his french onion soup which had ample amounts of melted cheese on top for me to steal. We also had the burger which was cooked to perfection and very juicy. I absolutely loved my Sole fish dish. I am very critical about fish being too thin or too dry etc, but this was a decent sized super juicy cut.

Glad I got to cross Épernay Bistro off my list of places to try, and it was a huge plus that the overall experience was delightful. My husband and I were on a double date with our friends, so I appreciated the restaurant's intimate ambiance. This place was the most authentic when it came to service. We were at dinner for nearly 3 hours, which reminded me of Paris. The food took a long time to be prepared, and I felt that the wait staff was not as attentive. As long as you're not in a rush, champagne it up and enjoy hearty conversations at your table while waiting a while for your orders. We ordered a couple of appetizers including a charcuterie board and bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cheese. My favorite among the apps was their selection of cheeses. They tasted fresh and had very distinct flavors and textures: a type of hard cheese, a semi-soft like a manchego, a tart and creamy one like goat cheese, maybe a sharp cheddar?, and definitely a soft brie-like cheese. The entrees were fantastic. 3 out of the 4 of us got a beef bourguignon, and I got the filet. The beef bourguignon was incredibly tender, but I did think it could've used a little more salt. My filet, however, was excellent with every bite. The meat was cooked to medium rare perfection, and I enjoyed the other elements on my dish, such as the onions and potato 3-cheese puff pastry. Lastly, we had a few desserts to share. Épernay's chocolate mousse was decadent. It was thick and dense like brownie batter. Their beignets, which were like little pillows, were fine.

I came here for brunch with two friends on the weekend! We all had the french toast, which was fluffy and very sweet. We also each got a spritzer drink, mine I believe was called Tea Thyme while my friends each got a ?strawberry?-cucumber refresher. While we all enjoyed our french toasts (though it does lean on the sweet side--and I didn't even use the maple syrup), the two cucumber spritzes had a little bit of a weird after taste that we didn't enjoy. I did like my tea thyme spritz, so it might be good to choose your drink carefully! The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a lovely little outdoor patio space. We also had a very friendly server. I would come back again, but maybe try some other parts of the menu!

Love the bistro atmosphere and the food there. The peach salad with shrimp (summer special) is pretty amazing. The beef short rib bourguignon is quite good as well. We didn't order wine but I did see some French wine selection on the board that appears to be special (judging by the price). Service was good as well. Will definitely go back whenever I miss French food.

A rather disappointing experience overall, even more so given the high price tag. The initial server by the waitress was decent, but the food quality (especially the main course) was far from premium. The steak was overcooked and under seasoned (my medium rare steak was more like medium well), and the shrimp in the Bouillabaisse was the same frozen, peeled shrimp you get from any supermarket - and blandly seasoned. The worst part is, when I gave the feedback to a waiter, he outright dismissed my complaint and said that the steak was medium - even though it was clearly medium well if not more. I don't think it came even close to the price tag it commanded, and certainly made for an extremely disappointing dinner experience.

Fresh ingredients on Valentine's Day. Really made a difference! D'Avonny and a gentleman really care about their customers and that's what made it an increase experience.

Oh my goodness-what a place! The ambiance is lively! Adam and D'Avonny are the best! We felt so welcomed and relaxed at the same time. Adam explained the food items in detail, and acted as if we had all the time in the world. The drinks were great, the food was delicious, and... as a dessert lover, the beignets were heaven! We came here last year too, and I'd come again and again and again. Thank you so very much!!
