This has to be the nicest food truck I have ever seen. My husband and drove by me had to make a u turn and try this place. First impression was a huge wow for us The menu is a nice size, with so many options I ordered the quesabirrias. The tortillas are freshly made, I asked for mine to be extra crispy. The amount of meat they used was so generous, the flavor was authentic. The consomé was o tasty and not greasy at all. These have to be my favorite quesabirrias. My husband had the al pastor tacos, the meat was so tender and delicious. Full of flavor, the guacamole was perfect. The complementary cucumber, radishes, and salsas is a plus. The place is kept clean, it was not too busy when we were there but a lady was cleaning as people were leaving. The only ready I didn't give them five stars is because they don't take phone orders, I understand they get really busy. I live in San Mateo and it would be nice to call in my order, instead of making the long drive and waiting to get my food.I will be back to try something else on the menu

Checked out this truck bordering a parking lot because the food smelled amazing! This is more of a grab and go situation since no seating is available. I appreciate the veg and sauce station they have for customers. My favorite was the spicy avocado option! Multiple copies of the menu are posted on the truck so customers don't need to crowd around one area. I'll visit again if I'm in the area.SERVICE:My burrito was made pretty quickly and the cashier was very friendly! He asked if I wanted all the components of my burrito inside in case substitutes were needed. Once your order is finished, another staff member will call your order out from the backside of the truck haha.FOOD:*Regular burrito -- I went with carne asada and it was so delicious! They provide a lot of components for a regular burrito which I enjoyed. Most places in the Bay Area only do rice, beans, meat, onion and cilantro now. El Bombero went the extra mile by including a lot of pico de gallo and self-serve sauces + freshly sliced radish! The meat was very flavorful and tender. Tortilla was so good, not dry at all. This is one of the few places where I didn't have to deal with oil dripping from the bottom, yay! Not the best picture included on this review heh, but for reference this burrito was 10in long and 3.5in "wide." Small portion of chips included! :)PARKING:Visited on a Friday around noon and there was lots of parking available.

So I was hoping to be blown away from how these tacos looked online but I was met with disappointment instead. Looks can be deceiving. The tacos I went with consisted of suadero, al pastor and chicharrón. What I look for mainly in a taco is freshness in all ingredients, flavor and authenticityAuthenticity was there in terms of appearance. Freshness and flavor was absent. I was severely disappointed by how tough these tacos were to eat. It was quite hard to get through the first two. Meat was very dry, and tough to chew. Lacked lots of flavor for that reason. Sauce did help though. The sauce helped me get through the rest of the tacos.Service was overwhelming, did take a good minute to receive our food. Aguas were great, just need to cut the price on them and I would get more.If you are a serious taco connoisseur, I will think twice before going here compared to other great choices you have nearby. It was not worth it!

It was a beautiful day today and I had to come out and try this place since I drive past it so often. I got the three Tijuana style tacos, the meat lacked some flavor but the sauce was good and it came with grilled onions. The sauce bar was good and it came with pickled onions/carrots and radish. It really hit the spot! Service was quick since I was the only one.

Second Taco Tuesday at El Bombero and it did not disappoint. The tacos here are served up hot, fresh, tasty and loaded! I sure hope they don't change that. Customer service is friendly and fast... Although except to wait in line to order and for pick up. Trust, it's worth the wait. Love the fire truck theme and they even ring the siren when it's time for your pickup. Today, the birria tacos were my favorite. Horchata was a little too sweet for my liking.

I have never seen a big firetruck that delivers tacos to customers! I have tried three small tacos. They also offer Mexican soup, which is perfect for the winter. There are sauces and toppings available for the tacos. I added some guacamole to my taco. I really enjoy guacamole and avocado! Tacos are my favorite! The firefighters serve customers when we are craving tacos in the winter. They are helpful and supportive to the customers. The big firetruck provides a tent for people to cook tacos under. I see the people service the Mexican desserts. It is worthy to visit them!

We showed up for $2 tacos ended up paying nearly $40 for 9? i understand tax and all but im sure it would have been in the $20's , from the moment i got in line to the minute i got my tacos was about a 1hr wait time and when i got in line there was only 4 other people ahead of me but cashier was slow and decided to fill up on salsa's which took him about 15 minutes to grab new bottles and place them in they're designated area , got a Agua fresca that was very watered down and tasted nothing like mango , had to rethink what flavor water i got again, but overall horrible experience and definitely not going back , long wait time for not many people being in line is crazy to me DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK

I came on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait. I've seen videos of this place on Instagram so I wanted to try this out for myself. The truck is located in a parking lot next to the Harley Davidson motorcycle shop. There's a couple of tables in a covered seating area if you want to eat there.I ordered four tacos, two Al Pastor and two Chicharron. I also ordered an agua fresca. The total was $25 for four tacos and a drink which is pretty steep. I didn't get a receipt so I'm assuming the chicharron tacos were more pricey. I was excited to try the chicharron, the flavor was good. Very good crispy texture with a good chew on the rest of the meat. The al pastor, a staple for me, was alright. The flavor was alright, it came with a couple pieces of pineapple. The texture was softer than I'm used to. I would come again for the chicharron it was pretty tasty.

Great staff, Horchata was too cinnamony not worth $7. I had chicken tacos everything on it including guacamole for $2... Taco Tuesday. I enjoyed the homemade tortillas the most, flavor was definitely there. Granted someone across found a wire & piece of hair in theirs. I inspected my tacos & I didn't encounter that. I will be back!!!!!
