El Amigo Burrito

Had a chance to try El Amigo Burrito and I must say this is a really cute shop for some yummy Mexican food. The restaurant is a cute spot to sit in whether it's with family or friends. We did a pick up order, but the interior was very nice. For our order we got:*Chicken burrito - this was stuffed with lots of chicken, bell peppers and onions and was every bit delicious! We enjoyed every bite and the red salsa this came with. *Chicken enchilada - this was also yummy but I was not the biggest fan of the sauce on top as it was very salty. Would skip this next time, unless the sauce gets less salty!Overall service was fast and nice - I enjoyed my experience here.

casual lunch with friends, recommended by other friends. It was just like our former neighborhood mexican restaraunt Goveas. The portions were generous and tasty. you get chips and salsas while you wait for your main courses. I love crispy tacos, it's been hard to find places that serve them these days. I recommend this for lunch and dinner. parking is available as it is in a strip mall. The service is excellent .

My favorite new favorite Mexican restaurant since Maria Elena Restaurant closed down on Alviso. I'm very picky about Mexican food since I grew up on Maria Elena's food and El Amigo Burrito is closest thing to it. I actually been coming here for a while now to get my fix. Today I had the combo plate chicken enchilada , chicken taco which comes with rice, beans and salad. It's just made perfect! Enchilada sauce is so yummy can smother it on everything. Rice is so fluffy and beans are perfect not dried at all. My kids had the chili verde wet burritos asada burrito also wet with red sauce. Again also yummy! Other visit I've had the relleno, chili verde, chili colorado and they all have been delicious. The carnitas is a hit or miss as it can be dried, but I always get enchilada sauce in the side to dip it in. As you can see I pretty much prefer plated dish than taqueria food. I love comfort food. The place has pretty good seating accommodation. It's a family owned place with two servers. Restaurant is not close to me but it worth my drive.

I tried mole sauce for the first time here on their enchiladas and I was blown away. It was so tasty and perfect. The chicken enchiladas were fresh and everything about them made me fall in love.

This place is so spacious and the staff is a friendly and welcoming. I came to have lunch while waiting for my car. And it took me some time to figure out what I wanted to eat. Luckily they give you chips and salsa to start with. I decided to go with their signature burrito supreme wet with a salad and sides. It was so good but I had to wait a because it was hot coming from the oven. It was so good but I couldn't finish it all and saved half for later. I recommend checking this place out. As I was leaving many more people started to come in.

The service was good, but authentic it was not. I paid $28 for a super burrito which I think was way to expensive, and not that good.

The food is so good. I really enjoy the service. They are always so nice and make you feel welcome

Went between lunch and dinner time, wasn't too hungry so I thought I'd order something smaller. I was surprised by both items! Ended up taking home leftovers.both were very good and I'd consider visiting again. The horchata was also very delicious and we had got one to share and our server was able to split it into 2 cups for us!

Ordered a take out of 3 of their most popular el amigo burritos. I had a gift certificate here so I wanted to check this place out. Not very crowded, and seemed like most people ordered take away here. They have a wide selection of burritos, tacos, and main plates. Burritos were pretty tasty and filled with lots meat and rice. Burrito size is pretty massive, you could probably get 2 meals out of each. One thing I wish they did is put the avocado/sour cream on the side in a container rather than directly on the burrito bc it made it soggy. Person taking the order was friendly and the take out time was only 15 minutes. Prices are on the higher side but you get a lot quantity wise. If you're in the mood for Mexican food and in the area, this place is a good option.

Well, i used to go here all the time for lunch. I came during dinner got a beer and then nothing else. Meanwhile Spanish speakers got their orders taken promptly and served promptly. Very disappointed. I've given them a lot of business over the years. I was patient, but 25 minutes to finish a beer was a bit much. I left. Their food isn't worth that crappy service. Maybe it's just the night crew, but the discrimination was blatant. Such a shame, because they're convenient.
