I worked with Chef AK and her team for an event in Oakland, CA on 3/28. Even though I had to handle everything from NYC/NJ, everything was a breeze. Chef AK was very responsive and happily made adjustments based on dietary restrictions/allergies.Everyone raved about the lunch and I only wish I was there to partake! :)We will definitely work with EPEC for future catering needs when we are in Oakland again for business. How lucky we were! A friend of mine recommended Chef AK and Eat Play Events to cater our wedding reception and they knocked it out of the park!We ordered appetizers for around 50 people, a mixtre of meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options. All were delicious, and the grilled shrimp and empanadas were exceptional. Everything was delivered on time, well organized and presented. They even included utensils, plates and napkins as a courtesy.Their prices are more than fair for the quality of the ingredients, the preparation and cheerful courtesy that we were shown. I would not hesitate to use them again for stand up or sit down affairs. You will get friendly, down to earth, professional and delicious fare!Thank you Eat Play!

Ordered through Aaronette for a last-minute office meeting. (when I say last minute, I truly mean LAST MINUTE 40 executives & less than a week notice) It was a roller coaster ride to say the least, but their service made me feel like I made the right decision. Too many careering businesses in the bay area either have good food and ok service or wonderful service, but the food is less than palatable. Rarely do you come across a business that has both great food and great service! Ordering and delivery were both extremely easy. a Aaronette took care of everything. She created a custom menu that accommodated all dietary needs (vegan, gluten free, vegetarian) and all organic ingredients were used. We enjoyed a delicious Taco bar with all the goods: fresh salsa, sour cream, grilled corn, queso fresco, fresh guacamole, vegan cupcakes. Plus a delicious watermelon salad. I'm elated I ordered because we all know that no one forgets bad food at a meeting.

Can't give 0 stars, that's the only reason there is 1 star. My 52 twin sister passed away so I had to plan her memorial with her husband and our family/friends. I went on EzCater and found Eat Play Events and Catering. All the reviews I read about Eat Play were good. Setting up a memorial means having to do a so many things in a very short amount of time. So I pick Eat Play, look at he menu options with my brother in law and go for it. We order a hummus platter for 30 people, chicken skewers for 30 people, and a meat/cheese/bread/crackers plate for 40. I'm running around getting things ready and had a friend receive the food and put it out. She comes to get me and we are both shocked at the amount of food. The $240 hummus platter consisted of a bowl of hummus maybe slightly bigger than a Sabra Hummus family size (which costs like $7) and some veggies that maybe cost another $20 at the very most!!(see pictures). ONE PLATTER OF HUMMUS FOR $240!!! Imagine a class full of 30 students WOULD YOU PUT THAT OUT FOR THEM?????NO!! NO!! NO!! The shriveled looking TINY chicken skewers cost me $180 ( I could have gotten a family size of chicken breasts from Safeway and had my TEENAGE son make that dish and it would have looked better and cost me $25). I didn't take a picture of the skewers but trust me, that container was barely half full. The meat and cheese/bread and crackers cost me $320!!!!!I actually work at a law firm and there is a TON of catered food weekly and I know for a fact that these prices are absolutely INSANE. I called EzCater and they called Eat Play who offered to bring me more food but I would have to pay for it!! HA!!! I truly thought there was a mistake my order was OVER NINE HUNDRED- YES $900 and Eat Play did absolutely NOTHING and EzCater credited me 25% of the cost of the food. I was literally on the phone as guests were arriving TO MY SISTER's FUNERAL and forgot to remove the very generous tip I gave the driver, they could have at least reminded me of that. So after the EzCater credit I spent $750 on food that I could have made for $100 or less. AND THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH FOOD SO I HAD TO SEND A FRIEND TO SAFEWAY. She did a fantastic job and literally saved the day. These people are crooks. Don't use them, or if you do ask them to send you pictures of what feeding the amount of people you need to feed so you will not be surprised like me THE DAY I WAS AT MY SISTER'S FUNERAL. Look at the pictures and the bill yourself. I talked to the husband owner of Eat Play 2 days after the event and he never even apologized for my dissatisfaction until I asked him to like 5 times. He also gave me a bunch of run around and excuses. EAT PLAY DIDN'T DO CRAP to fix the problem the day of the event and two days later tried to make excuses. This company sucks.

I have called upon Eat Play Events and Catering on a few occasions, and I can say they have never disappointed. On a couple of occasions, my requests have been sort of last minute, but Chef AK has always came through.The food is always prepared and presented beautifully and always quite tasty. I usually have special requests, but the Chef is always nice and accommodating, ensuring she takes care of all of my needs. She and her staff are always courteous and professional during catered events. Chef AK provides great customer service, delivers service with a smile, and ensures you will always be satisfied with their services. I definitely am! #RepeatCustomer

I hired Eat Play Events & Catering for my company's Taco Tuesday Happy Hour, customer service and food was 200% if that's a thing lol I loved she was able to accommodate my vegan , gluten-free and vegetarian team members. We used Aaronette to feed 70+ people at our backyard party and ordered Taco Bar, Beans and rice. Food was so good, nothing was left and we had plenty for everyone. Aaronette was very accessible even off hours, professional and came up with creative ideas to feed the group while staying within my budget. SHE WAS AMAZING!! I will use her again in the future for all my private parties

I wanted to give a better rating but I was put off by the owner/chef's response to me asking if they had any wheat toast and jelly since I was ordering the Breakfast Bundle. She that it was "nasty" to serve toast and that she would never serve it. I will never order from them again. I thought it was about me and what I wanted to order and pay for not what she thought was right or wrong about the request. Why be hostile towards toast and those of us who like it with breakfast???The food I received was nicely prepared and tasty. I purchased the toast and had the jelly and butter that my attendees wanted. All good at the end of the day.
