Ordered togo on 2/14 for dinner. This place is always busy. There are people waiting outside every time we go here.I recommend calling in advance to order your banh mi during peak hours. They have a special buy 4 get 1 free.We ordered the Dac Biet Banh Mi #2. It tastes really good. The flavors are all there and fresh. The Baguette isn't hard too. Price is just right as well.

This location always has a long line so when I found out they open at 6am, I had to make a stop before work. Ordered cold cut sandwich, fish cake sandwich, grilled beef sandwich, and pate puffsCold cut is my go to sandwich. They do not skimp on the meat. It comes with pickled carrots and daikon and cucumbers. Fish cake sandwich is also good and has a nice texture. Grilled beef sandwich is my least fave and it is more expensive than the other sandwiches. Too sweet and dry. Do not recommend unless you like it sweetmeat pie is so good. Always sold out so if you see them, it's a must have

One of the favorable banh mi sandwiches in SJ according to locals so I finally went to order for myself. I've had their banh mi ordered by friends for events and we would order the meat patty and plain mini baguettes for camping or picnic events. There was a line to order inside when I got there around 930am Sunday morning but the line went pretty fast as there were 2 working the registers. They have the promotion buy 4 banh mi get one free so we ordered two with the veggies to eat right away and the other 3 with veggies separate to eat the next day. We ended up ordering grilled pork, cold cut combination, and a chicken one. The line to receive your order was a little longer to wait for but they worked as efficiently as possible. I like they call out your number when your order is ready for pick up so there's no line needed to pick up, just hang around and listen to your number. I tried the grilled pork and it was delicious eating right after receiving. We went with all large size so I don't know how small the other size is in comparison. Overall, I enjoyed my banh mi and would come back again. I heard them taking phone orders so next time I will call in ahead if I'm doing a large order to minimize the waiting process. The location is a Togo so the atmosphere is your typical pick up and go to me. They sell other snacks, pate Chaud, nem chua, cha, cha chien, etc. It's in the same plaza with lions supermarket across from grand century and Vietnam town so there's parking but just can get busy.

I saw this on TikTok several months ago. The thing is, there are so many good/great Banh Mi joints in San Jose that if one of 'em stands out and is being recommended by the locals, I gotta give 'em a try. I'm rarely in the South Bay nowadays so whenever I'm down there, I try to hit up as many places on my list. So, after eating some Bun Bo Hue (yes, of course) I wanted to hit this place up, so lo-and-behold, this was only a couple of blocks from where we were eating. Drove here, fought for a parking spot, found one right in front, got in line and checked out the menu. I immediately noticed the sign that read "Buy 4 Large Sandwiches, Get 1 Free." Got me hook, line and sinker. Plus, ordered a few more to go. Ordered the following:Banh Mi Thit Nuong (Grilled Pork)Banh Mi Xa Xiu (BBQ Pork)Banh Mi Trung, Thit Nuong (Grilled Pork & Egg)Banh Mi Trung, Lap Xuong, Cha (Egg, Sausage & Pork Loaf)Banh Mi Ba Chi (Pork Belly)Banh Mi Dai Han Cai (Spicy Korean Pork)We didn't eat 'me right away (should've tried one at least) since we were taking them 'em all back home for dinner. By the time we got home, they became a little soggy (through no fault of their own) but a little heating up in the air fryer rectified that in an instant. Each one definitely hit the spot as it checked all the boxes for a good/great Banh Mi Sammich. The ratio of bread to fillings is very appropriate and they don't skimp on the ingredients. The crunch, flavor, umami flavor and contrasting textures made our mouths happy...followed by a Steph Curry shimmy dance. We were more than satisfied with each one, and if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Pork Belly. Chunks of belly with the balanced ratio of fat to meat...in my opinion. My only regret was not trying them as soon as they were made as it would probably would have tasted better, but I'm not complaining. I just need to schedule another return visit, that's all.4 1/2 stars.

These sandwiches hit heavy after a long hike. key elements: bread so crispy grilled pork, juicy and tender pate, not very heavy handed not even sure it was in there butter, yum pickled veg, cilantro and cucumber, Love cilantro so very happy with the amount in the sandwich. It's a very busy place but they have a good system going on. You can add extra pate or other toppings for a dollar or so. I would like to go again and see what else they have out on the tables. They were sold out of lost stuff when I went. their website has rice rolls on the menu but I didn't see any

Oh my god ! This is the best banh mi I ever tried . My Asian neighbors introduced me to this and I have been hooked ever since . It's a small place and doesn't have seating area. Basically you just stand in queue, order your food and when they are ready , they just call out your order no. The shop is located in a shopping complex which seems to be busy but parking is not difficult. They usually have the offer of 'buy 4 large banh mi and get a 5th one free ' and I love to make use of that offer. My favorites are pulled pork and Korean spicy pork . You can ask for extra jalapeños ( which I always do ) or you can ask them to give the veggies on the side and not inside the sandwich. They have small banh mi too if you wanna get a smaller one for yourself or for a kid .I have tried Banh mi at few other places but this one is by far the best .

I have had sandwiches from here before, but never got a chance to visit the actual store and buy it myself. I finally made it today as I was in the area. I heard that of all the locations, this one is the best as it is the original store. There is a promotion where if you buy four large sandwiches, you get one free, so I took advantage of it. I got the grilled pork, grilled chicken, grilled beef, pork belly, and fish patty. The grilled beef was $10.50, rest of the sandwiches I ordered was $8. I also tried a banana tapioca dessert that was $3 and it was delicious.I had the fish patty for dinner and it was yummy and I was full. My son had the grilled beef, he finished the whole thing and said it was good. All the sandwiches were pretty tasty per my family. It was a long line to get your order, but goes fast. After I placed the order, still another line to wait for pickup. I think it took about a total of twenty minutes from placing the order to picking up the order. I went around 4:10pm, didn't leave the store till about 4:35pm. If you go during off peak hours, I am sure there is less people in line. All in all, I would come back whenever I am in the area and get some delicious Vietnamese sandwiches.

A trip to San Jose's Duc Huong sandwiches is a necessary pilgrimage for all area Banh Mi fans and today's visit was not my first. If you look over the reviews here on Yelp you'll know that this small shop is home to great sandwiches, sold in super high volume, efficiently, and with minimal fuss. You order inside the small store, get a receipt with your order number, and then wait outside to pick up your sandwiches which will be handed out through the small window. There's nearly always a line but somehow the wait is rarely long. You'll also get a crispy roll with tasty meat and fresh veggies that many in San Jose regard as among the best Bahn Mi in the Bay Area (a competitive category!)If you haven't been on your own pilgrimage to Duk Huong then now's a good time to journey to their Little Saigon location. I can't promise you a sacred experience, just a very tasty one!(Menu advise: I ordered two sandwiches today. The first was my normal grilled pork plus a second grilled pork with egg since I hadn't tried it yet. The egg was fine but prepared in advance and refrigerated. I'll stick with my stand-by next time, the cold egg detracted from the joy of the fresh, warm pork sandwich)

One should call if you want pick up order ahead of time. It took a minute or so of beeping until someone picked up my phone order. Sometimes one can't get through for phone orders because they are that busy. They need more than one phone line or an online order system.Their banh mis are so worth it! Nicely packed and full of savory goodness!Cold cut combo is ham sandwich with pate is my classic favorite! It was so meaty and their bread was so fresh! Pork belly was delicious as well. Get large size- it's more worthwhile. Banh beo was ok. Stick to their specialty which are their banh mis.Vietnamese iced coffee, complimented the sandwich!
