Came here with a group of 6 and we were seated immediately! This place is ideal for sharing because the portions are huge and you'll get to try more stuff. We got three orders of XLB, fried rice, the hot oil noodles, green beans, and another kind of spicy sauce dumpling. The green beans were truly the star--the kind of thing that pairs well with everything but you never both making at home. They do it well here. XLB texture was phenomenal. I'm really particular about how thick skinned my dumplings are as I feel it speaks for how skilled the chefs are the thinner they can get it. They were perfect! Super high quality bites, waiters came by to refill water glasses often, and it felt like the perfect venue to catch up with friends as it wasn't too loud. Price wise it was extremely reasonable and we thought the bill was going to be much higher. Will be back! :)

My friend and I came for dinner on a weekday and were immediately seated with water and the complimentary pickled veggies. The staff were all very nice, but maybe service is too good...? They kept refilling my water every couple of minutes, when my cup was still full. Which is fine, but felt funny! As for the food, we got the standard dishes. The XLB are definitely bigger than the ones from Din Tai Fung. Super juice and flavors delicious! However, we had to ask for a small bowl to dip our XLB in vinegar, and the bowls came with sliced ginger. I also noticed that the vinegar at the table for the XLB was a rice vinegar or something similar. Light and slightly sweet, not the usual black vinegar. I mixed it with the soy sauce at the table and it was quite yummy! As for the potstickers, they were also yummy, but the lace tasted sort of plasticky? Very oily on the outside as well, but the filling was definitely delicious and well seasoned. As for the cucumbers, they tasted a little too sweet for my taste. They're not the DTF cucumbers, and taste almost pickled. But pairs well with the dumplings! Was still a better option than paying $18 for a plate of green beans.

The food here is delicious! They offer a great variety of options, and the portions are huge--we had plenty of leftovers to take home.Since it's brand new, the place looks modern and well-kept, which adds to the experience. However, the customer service could use some improvement. As first-time visitors, we weren't really guided through the process--just seated, handed menus, and left to figure things out on our own. A little more attentiveness would go a long way. Also... no refills? I was thirsty!

We came at lunch and lucky to have friends in the know. The place is packed but they have a waiting list. Pro Tip: while I don't know how to do it, our buddy Coung gets on the waitlist through the Yelp App. It makes a huge difference. I love dumplings. One of my favs. that they make is a wonderful Fish Dumpling. Also check out the Shrimp And Loofah Xiao Long Bao. Mrs. E. had a tasty Chicken Soup with Corn and a cucumber salad. Both were yummy! Try the combination Chow Mein. So many tastes on one plate! It is a bit salty so beware. The fresh greens are worth the wait, all by themselves. Esp. the Bok Choy and the Garlic Spinach. I really like the decor of the place. A pretty simple eatery with the right touch of Asian specific. There's a beautiful waterfall when you enter. Being my first experience with dumplings in this part of the country, I feel everything went very well! 02/25"When available you can go in and get a seat. When you get there you are given a menu with pencil. You can mark you food and quantity needed. They check it with you and the server can suggest about the quantity if it less or more.Food comes in fast and is always delicious. The tea is good and inexpensive

Clean, wide open, new location. Looks great albeit a little tight. The tables are close together making it potentially difficult to get through to your table without bumping into other guests or their chairs. Or maybe I'm just getting a bit too "fluffy". Service was okay. Menu was okay. Food was okay. And perhaps my memories are jaded and I'm expecting too much but, in my opinion, the original Din Ding had better quality food. Keep in mind that this was a first visit and could have just been a one off. We were here for lunch, arriving around 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon. There were three of us that arrived in two separate cars within minutes of each other. We were greeted at the door, a table pointed out to us, and we sat. A small dish of Potato Salad was put on our table (I forgot to take a picture of it). Our dining companion joined us, and we all perused the menu, passing it around so each person could choose dishes. We ordered familiar dishes:Xiao Long Bao - 4 - Not quite as I remembered them. I only got one and unfortunately, it had a hole in it so all the soup had leaked out. Fish Dumpling - 5 - Thoroughly enjoyable. Flavorful and moist. Won Ton in Spicy Peanut sauce - 5 - Just as I remembered them. Tomato & Egg with Dry Noodles - 3 - The sauce was a bit overwhelming, and the noodles were clumpy. Perhaps they hadn't been rinsed long enough to cool them down.Sweet & Sour Baby Pork Ribs - 3 - The Pork itself was fine. We weren't fond of the thickened Sweet and Sour Sauce nor the amount of bone fragments in the dish. Pan Fried Chives Dumpling with Scallop & Shrimp - 3 - The filling was great. The dumpling wrapper not so much. There were large air pockets in each dumpling and the panfrying wasn't even. Some parts of the wrapper were crispy as expected and other parts were hard and not diner friendly. Overall, on okay experience but far below what we had expected. It would be difficult to justify another drive down from San Leandro for this quality.

Came in on a Thursday night and honestly all the food looked so good so we ordered a lot for a table of just 2 (but that bill was up there fs). It was around the end of dinner time, so it wasn't too busy. They do play pop music lightly in the background. Service was great -- always checked your water and asked how things are going :)My top dishes were the braised tofu (10/10), strawberry choc XLB (10/10), and honey walnut shrimp (10/10). Flavor was immaculate, the amount of sauce was just right. I would definitely drive back here just to order those 3 plates again! In the middle are beans (8/10), ground beef pie (7/10), pork XLB (7/10), dumplings (7/10), and siomai (6/10). Had great flavors and still overall great :) for the price, I expected to be a bit wowed by these dishes but still overall great. A dish that I'm glad I tried but won't order again are the pork chops (4/10). My friend loved it so she took the rest home. I'm very biased against using too much white pepper and you can really taste it with this one. If you're okay with white pepper, then you might have a better experience eating this than me.

I met up with some friends who live in Union City, and this was the halfway point. I had never been and from what I understand, it is their newest location. The staff is friendly, and even moved us at my request because we were right near the door and every time it opened, that burst of cold air was too much. Though they did seem to have the AC on as well.I honestly don't know what they ordered because they are vegans so most of the dishes were vegetable in nature except for the fried shrimp. They are slowly added seafood to their diets. They were nice and crispy and lightly breaded which is so much better than some of the others. The broccoli had a great garlic flavor but Lori said it was saltier than the other place. I thought it was delicious. We had a vegetable noodle dish and they pull their own noodles, and this was delicious too! We had chive? dumplings...well, whatever they were they were good, as was the salad at the beginning. Again, I don't know what the dishes were called...LOL!The service is quick and efficient! They really want you to eat and leave because it was getting crowded with people waiting. Lots of Asian families which, for me, is always a good sign. The only thing I didn't care for was the charge for tea, but I'm old school where that and plain rice were usually free! Definitely worth checking out.

It's been waaay too long since Din Ding reopened in Fremont, there was a fire at their old location and the laundromat, hair salon, and Din Ding closed in 2021. The kids afterschool care is close and we've been closely watching their new location being built up from nothing last year. They are finally open and we've already been here 3 times. My wife felt like XLB today and it's super convenient for us to pick the kids up around 5 and come after before it gets crowded. Food quality is still high and as delicious as the original and Union city location.XLB + Fish Dumplings: XLBs were first on the table and came in 2 minutes. They are super popular so they are have their prep and cook time perfected. First time trying the fish dumpling and it's a repeat. The filling is made with cornstarch, wheat flour, and fish so it's more like a solid mass inside and not loose pieces of fish. Fried Rice: We love their "clean" fried rice that isn't brown from soy sauce, very similar to DTF and my wife loves all the leftovers.Chicken Soup with Corn: I would consider this an egg drop soup, barely any corn and chicken but lots of egg and a nice thick texture from cornstarch. The portion size is HUGE and meant for sharing.Cucumber salad + sauteed green beans sprouts: Cucumbers are pickled and the portion size is pretty large, the sauteed greens were good but they were $22!Potstickers: served upside down with an oversized crispy skirt, this one is best enjoyed fresh and not takeout. Our total bill was $130 before tip and it's expensive but we had leftovers of almost everything and it's at least one more meal for us tomorrow.

I saw a few tik toks claiming that this place is comparable to Din Tai Fung... I have to agree. Although they have their small differences, I love this restaurant and can't wait to try more from the menu. When we first walked in, we noticed a lot of people ordering their fried rice, so we went with the scallop one. Scallops were bouncy and not overcooked, they sprinkled some masago (fish eggs) in as well, and you can really taste the wok flavor in the fried rice. Green beans were yummy and well seasoned. Surprisingly, really liked the pork ribs; they were almost fall off the bone tender. XLB were STUFFED with meat and broth. Super rich and decadent. It's super clean inside and service is really fast. Like really really fast. Our waitress kept asking us if we were ready to order, but we were overwhelmed by all the delicious options on the menu! TLDR: get a fried rice + XLB if you're stumped on what to order.

The food here was salty, greasy and not hot. The beef noodle soup I ordered came out lukewarm and had barely any meat or toppings like the photos. Also ordered the potstickers and there was so much oil that it slipped off the plate when the waitress put it down on the table. Instead of bringing us a new plate of potstickers, she used one of our chopsticks and pushed it back on the plate. We stopped eating at this point and just got the check to go.
