I've hired a few taco grills but by far this one is my favorite one. They are very friendly and personable, and I am extremely impressed by their professionalism. They came to the spot early for set up, and packed everything up for me when all is said and done, and I was pleased there was still so much food leftover even my guests took some plates home too. Being a big foodie, I pride myself in providing great food for my guests, and let me tell you the quality and taste of the tacos was top notch. I don't usually get chicken for my tacos but man was it tasty and not dry at all!Yes it might be on the pricier side than other competitors but you get what you pay for with these guys. Highly recommended!

We recently hired dis de los tacos to cater tacos for my sisters baby shower, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! The team arrived early, ensuring everything was ready to go when our guests started arriving. I researched over half a dozen taco places in the South Bay to cater my husband's 40th birthday. We were expecting about 50 people. I'm a planner. Love a good spreadsheet. I did a head-to-head comparison of the top places, looking at what mains they offered, sides, salads, veggie options, drinks, etc. I noted if they included cutlery, napkins, plates, what their service window was. And then I added up the cost per head, plus estimated tax and gratuity. All of this is to say -- I did my freaking homework. Now, if you just care about the numbers, Dia de los Tacos is not the cheapest option (nor are they the most expensive). But, there's so much more to a positive experience with a caterer, isn't there? Let's review some of those factors. 1. Responsiveness: I reached out via Yelp, and they responded that morning. They continued responding to every message, every question I sent within a couple of hours. It was easy to send a deposit, and we ended up setting up the whole thing via Yelp's messages. I did have their number if I ended up needing it, but I didn't. Easy.2. Professionalism: The day of, they were on time, arriving about 90 minutes before our time to eat. We had so much going on in the backyard for the birthday itself that we had them set up in the front of the house, which worked just fine. They brought their own tents and tables and bowls and -- everything. Plus some decor that made it feel like not your average set-up. It was wonderful. And the staff was so friendly. Really, really impressed. 3. Quality: Okay, this is the big one. Who cares about the rest if the food doesn't taste good, right? Well. Let me tell you. This food was GOOD. You know how tacos are kind of like pizza in that it's hard to have a *bad* taco, but it's rare to have a truly exceptional one too? My friends, Dia de los Tacos is that exception in exceptional. I've never gotten so many compliments on food before. Everyone was commenting on the catering. The flavors, the textures, the rice, the sides, the agua fresca (we got watermelon). Now, here's another great thing. They boxed up all the leftovers for us, without us having to ask. So my husband and I ended up getting to enjoy this deliciousness for another week plus. And we did not get sick of it!! How is that possible? Literally eating the same food every damn day for over a week. It's because it's that good. To sum up, I am BEYOND PLEASED with my decision to go with Dia de los Tacos for this milestone birthday. It was worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and just book them already. There's a reason they have so many 5 star reviews.

Amazing quality food and service! Our guests for our Team Christmas Party said that the rice and beans were absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed the tacos and the horchata and the watermelon drink. Book DDLT now. Beautifully set up, delicious, and team is top notch. We've held two events in Oakland where DDLT worked their magic -- setup and breakdown was prompt and handled with care with no fuss navigating around cold / rainy temps. Ricki and team managed a crowd of 60 people at our event last night with ease and professionalism. They are our first choice for every gathering and can't say enough great things about how wonderful they are.

I love this caterer! I have used them twice and about to book a 3rd time. Their food is high quality, very good, service has always been amazing - always on time, set up a beautiful spread, and clean everything up when they are done.

We catered food from them for my wife's golden birthday celebration. Overall, they did a fantastic job and I would definitely go back to them for the next Mexican theme party. They were very easy to work with to help pick menu. There was no voice call and everything was done through text messages. The crew showed up 5 mins before the scheduled time and they had food ready at the exact time as agreed upon. We had guacamole and chips, elote and jalapeño poppers for appetizers. The main menu had taco bar, fajitas, and quesadillas. They referred somebody else for churros. Everybody loved all the food items. The crew was very professional and left the place very clean. The whole decor of the place was just amazing too.

Very responsive, food was great, showed up on time and the price was more then fair. What else can you ask for? Will definitely use them again.

Great food, hard workers, very engaging. They catered taco's for a 60th birthday bash on a Sunday afternoon; the crew showed up early, were respectful, kind and patient. They chatted with the guests and made sure there was far more than enough to feed the crowd. They cleaned up, left the extras for us to enjoy the next day and everyone raved about the food! Highly recommend Dia De Los Tacos and look forward to working with Ray and his crew again.
