This is the restaurant you go to when you want to wow your group or date. The presentation of the food and the taste of everything is 10/10. Just a warning, the food can get spicy and the waiter will ask you what your tolerance level is cuz you can't return the food just becuz you can't handle the heat. But I love spicy food and loved everything here.

We came here on a weekday afternoon and got seated very quickly. The ambiance is very nice with beautiful bouquets of flowers hanging around the restaurant. We ordered the from lunch prix fixe menu and it came out to about $45 a person for two lunch courses (not including tip). The first course was Tom Yum soup, the second were appetizers, of which we ordered a somosa and chicken wing. Then we ordered the tofu pad Thai and the person I was with ordered the brisket. They charge $6 extra for the brisket. The pad Thai tofu was good, but it was lacking -- there were about 4-5 pieces of tofu, which was very little for a dish. The somosa was good, but the curry that came with it was also very small. We both ordered the Thai Tea lemonade. It was different, and had both the tastes of lemonade and Thai Tea. At the prices for what we got, I'm not sure I would come back here. It was definitely on the pricy side, and I understand they were featured on the news, but it was still not as filling as I would have liked for the price that we paid.

Was craving Thai food and was recommended by a friend to check out Daughter Thai. They have quite the menu so it was hard trying to pick what to get as everything sounded so good! We ordered a few items to go and we received our food fairly quickly. Items we got:- Roti with side of curry: 3.5/5 the side curry was the star of this appetizer dish. It was flavorful and delicious! The roti was just ok, it was very oily for my liking and flakey, it kept breaking apart into smaller pieces. - Crispy Pork Belly: 5/5 totally recommend you try it! The pork belly was fried to perfection and satisfied my cravings. I love that it came with a side of sweet chili sauce, it helped balance out the saltiness/fried oil goodness of the pork belly.- Yellow Curry with Tofu: 5/5 mentioned it earlier but the curry was SOO flavorful, I loved it! It has a good ratio of veggies and tofu. I got mild as I was unsure how the spice level would be, will def be trying the spicy next time. They have option for Thai Spicy but I'm not that brave (yet!). - Hat Yai Fried Chicken: 5/5 chicken was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately forgot to take a picture of it but they packaged it so nicely as a to go order! The only thing we didn't like about this dish was the side of roti it came with because again it was oily and kept falling apart. But the dish overall was amazing and we would order it again!Really enjoyed the dishes we got from Daughter Thai! Glad to have another Thai place as my go to spot. I will definitely be back to try out some of their other dishes! Highly recommend you give them a try if you're looking for a new Thai restaurant to try out in the Oakland area.

Beautifully decorated with vibrant dishes. Same owners as Farmhouse Thai, but the menu is slightly different. Great quality Thai food that doesn't hold back on the spice. I got the Kai gor rhae which was tender, delicious, and light. I would definitely get it again. It comes with a peanut sauce but I have an allergy and they were able to accommodate me with a different sauce. The service was friendly and attentive.

We order a lot of takeout from here and it's a great Thai option. We decided to dine in this time and had a great time! The last few times we came the experience was great, but last night was excellent! All the food was super tasty and the drinks too! The staff is always super friendly and helpful and the restaurant is very cozy.

Years ago, daughter started as my favorite Thai restaurant. The vibes were fun, the food was good and so was the service. I think the past few years have been a little more hit or miss. I wouldn't recommend take out as we've had a lot of misses recently there but we recently went in person and it was delicious!

As soon as you walk through the gates, you know you're in for more than just food. The ambiance and decor are thoughtfully curated. You'll be transported to a dining experience that's chic, modern, and perfect for photo and video ops to remember your evening. Friendly greetings and service accompany the expansive menu full of flavorful, colorful, and some creative Thai dishes. The standouts for me include the Hat Yai chicken (which I always order at Farmhouse Kitchen as well), and the volcano noodles. Though most dishes are spicy, the flavors work well together and you can def combat some of the heat with their drinks as well.Bring your family and friends, visit Daughter Thai!

Food was absolutely delicious. We had reserved for when they open, a party of about 13 people, so we were seated quickly. Once we knew our orders, we put them in, and food instantly came out. It was for a birthday celebration so they do a whole show with the drums and decorations, AND they give yummy desserts along with that. Otherwise, would love to come here again.

This is a really late review, my apologies! We ordered the following:Thai fried rice with tofuPad See you with tofu Side of curry sauceCrispy rotiHat yai fried chickenCrispy pork bellyTom yum bowl with chickenPanang neuaThe fried rice was decent, but it tasted more like Chinese style fried rice to me than what I'm used to from eating at Thai restaurants. I liked that the tofu was firm.I thought the pad see you was pretty good, they used quite a bit of soy sauce.I wasn't a fan of the big pieces of carrots in both and the big tomatoes in the fried rice, though. The roti and curry sauce were yummy and savory.I didn't eat the meat dishes, but the others in my party enjoyed them.Overall, the food was yummy but it was pricier than other Thai restaurants that I enjoyed, so I wouldn't necessarily consider it among my top picks all things considered.

Came here with my family. We truly enjoyed their food. The favorites were the pad thai, yellow curry, crab fried rice and the beef ribs. I like the island thai tea was refreshing. Their alcoholic beverages were strong; generous on alcohol which was nice. The service and ambiance were amazing. The servers went extra miles to greet my brother and sis in law a happy anniversary. It was a very nice touch to end our lunch. Thank you and will definitely be back agai
