1000/10 would recommend this if you are looking for fantastic catered bbq. Evelyn was quick to respond, super helpful when it came to ordering, and on time for delivery and set up. We got the ribs, brisket, burnt ends, Mac and cheese and loaded potato salad. Everything was amazing!! We had people scooping up the leftovers like it was the last bbq they were ever going to have. We will be ordering from here again for future parties and events.

Wow this review is way overdue! I thought i had submitted it back in February. We ordered catering for a baby shower and everyone LOVED IT. Dat Q BBQ was delicious!! We ordered the burnt ends, brisket, and ribs. Everything was tender, well seasoned and so juicy. Don't skip out on those burnt ends!The ordering process was very easy and flexible. Evelyn knew I had a strict budget and was able to help me come up with a good package for about 25 people. There was plenty of food to go around during the party. Delivery was on time and seamless. They provided chafing trays to keep the food warm and all serving and eating utensils. I sent a quick text to let her know we were done and they came by to pick up the catering trays. It was truly the carefree all inclusive process I was looking for, will be ordering again for future events! Highly recommend.

Quality, hearty food and generous portions, Dat Q has bbq done the right way. I attended a corporate event where they were offering brisket, chicken, ribs, mac n' cheese, potato salad and cookies, everything was DELICIOUS! The meat was tender it fell right off, making it easy to devour. The potato salad was one of the best I've had. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The cookies are a nice,not too sweet way to finish off the meal. If you want your guests to leave happy and well fed, go with Dat Q. A feast of scrumptious bbq is definitely the way to go. The service is impeccable.

Pork belly burnt ends, mac n cheese, baked beans, brisket was soooooo good!!!Tri tip was kinda over cooked for my liking. Everything was very tasty!

Noticed them at a CrossFit event last weekend & decided to get a Plate with 2 sides-And WOW kinda wished we had bought more. Black eyed peas & arugula & Mac & cheese were so fresh. WAY better than the usual sides one gets from BBQ places.PB tips were a great balance of lean to fat & the sauce was SO good. Overall better bbq than all the local restaurants.

Dat Q BBQ be realll good. I saw them advertise on Facebook a couple of times but I basically live on the exact opposite side of the bay from them, so had to ignore my BBQ cravings. They just participated in an independent vendor event in Hayward, which gave me a good opportunity to have a closer place to procure some barbecue!It's an amazing deal for the taste, skill, and portions that go into the food. Love a good man trying to feed people with good food instead of someone just tryna make bank. A plate of brisket was $15, ribs $14, chicken $12, and pork belly burnt ends (a la carte) were $10. First of all, the burnt ends?!?!? Fire in the mouth. Fire and fat, more like. That smoky burn on them was phenomenal - it was caramelized, almost candied meat melting in your mouth mixing with fatty, BBQ goodness. Yum, next time I need two helpings of these...The other BBQ meats included two sides. The brisket was my favorite meat. Big slices smoked well, tender, forkable, and a good amount of fat. The chicken was pretty good and tender as well. The ribs were huge, but I had a dry piece. I can't fault them so much, as I think ribs are one of the harder meats to get just perfect if you're cooking en masse. What made these meats really good was the generous spread of BBQ sauce all over them - so tangy, sweet, smoky, and delicious!For sides, they only had mac n' cheese and loaded potato salad available. And geez, both of these things were loaded. The mac came in a huge block (they came straight from the pan they baked it in), and was so thick and cheesy. Great when reheated a bit! The loaded potato salad was, uh, far from a salad! I mean, it was loaded with EVERY caloric heavy item! So much sour cream was mixed into it - someone knows how to make people full... There was also a generous amount of bacon crumbles, and freshly chopped green onions mixed within. Very yummy, very heavy, and a very unique, creamy spin on the potato salad.Love the Q, and would come for the Q any time they're closer to me! For the value and portions of their BBQ obviously cooked with heart, Dat Q BBQ is definitely one of the best BBQ providers of the bay area.

My husband is pretty particular about bbq, which he craved for his birthday, but there aren't any decent places around the Tri-City area. So I found this place on Yelp and thought I'd give it a shot. The service was great- Evelyn communicated well and responded quickly to my questions.Now the food was amazing! The ribs just fell off the bone and the chicken breast was juicy. I'm very glad I chose this place for my husband's birthday party.

Was able to book them for our corporate catering event in-house. We did individual lunch boxes. Evelyn was easy to work with and communicated well on a short notice. They were also able to put everyone's name on each of the boxes. The pricing included delivery and all of the utensils. We ordered chicken, ribs, brisket in varying combinations. They even had a vegetarian mushroom melt which people loved. Great food, good size portions and great pricing. Hopefully we can get them to cater again.

I just had a catered lunch for my team and my experience with Dat Q was phenomenal. Start to finish. Getting in touch with them was easy and they were responsive. The pricing is very fair. But for what you get it's even better. They offered delivery to our business and they were on time. Food smelled amazing tasted great and the serving sizes was better than I expected. Flavor? In a word Ridiculous. Food was fantastic, pulled pork was amazing. Big hit with with the sides too. Loved the Cole Slaw and the chili. Great service Great food. I will use them or find when they do a pop up somewhere. Awesome!

I was searching on YELP on Saturday, 5/22/2021, and came across Dat Q BBQ. I didn't realize they were a pop-up. I called and the very nice woman who answered said they were at a pop-up in Hayward, and by their pictures I just had to try them, so to Hayward I went. I am so glad I did. Dat Q is hands down the best BBQ you will ever taste. Their sides are amazing too. I had their potato salad and collard greens. Their ribs were tender, their brisket was like butter. It was beyond amazing and delicious. If you don't try their food you have not fully lived. I can't wait to eat this bbq again.
