Been coming here for over two decades and it hits the spot every time. Don't sleep on this downtown gem as it is always consistent. Must haves are pho ap chao, banh Cuon, banana flambe, and Vietnamese coffee (the real real stuff). The staff is friendly and attentive and the service is quick. The place is very simple but it has all you need! Pro tip: can't find street parking? Have a friend run in and get the gate remote for a small lot behind the restaurant!

A hole-in-the-wall type of pho restaurant, this establishment has been in business for many, many years. Consequently, it has a less modern appearance compared to other restaurants, but the food has always been consistently good for me.The customer service at this place is very fast-paced. If you're expecting the typical American restaurant with excellent service, you might not always find it here. Some of the employees also speak broken English, which may give the impression of rudeness or harshness. However, they are actually really nice people. They just come in to work, cook the dishes, and bring it to the tables with their quickies ability to do so. If you're solely interested in the food, I wholeheartedly recommend this place! My go-to orders include the crab meat egg rolls, fried banana, grilled shrimp and meat with vermicelli noodles, spring rolls, fried pho noodle dish (pho so chau), Banh cuon, and the regular pho. As someone who is sensitive to MSG, I have never had a problem after eating the pho here and believe that the broth served in this restaurant is of high quality. My boyfriend loves the Vietnamese coffee here, and I personally enjoy ordering the freshly squeezed orange juice.Parking around the restaurant might be difficult, but they actually offer free parking in a gated lot if you ask the employees inside.

A tasty and well priced lunch option! My team came here for a recent lunch outing. We arrived at 11:50am and noticed the place filled up quick after 12! Expect busyness but there was plenty of seating. We ordered - egg rolls for the table ; good but not amazing- #3 veggie soup with tofu ; very good! Broth was light but flavorful , veggies were plenty, and tofu was perfect chewy texture - #1 beef noodle soup ; coworkers said it was good - #2 combo ; coworkers said it was good - Vietnamese iced coffee with milk ; perfect blend of strong and sweet. They even bring out the phin drip with your cup so you know the coffee is fresh.Tips: - ask for hot tea for table instead of water - the dark red spicy sauce on the table is VERY spicy (even with those of us with a high spice tolerance). Use in moderation - it's a sit down place but when you're done with your meal you go to pay up front, they won't bring the check I will convince my team to come back for more veggie soup and coffee!

Mediocre Pho that was truly lacking a depth of flavor for the broth...one of the most important components. Same goes for fried egg roll. It's rare for me to ignore the basic 2 items to test the kitchen quality. I didn't finish either. Service was prompt and ambiance was okay. It was in a convenient location but didn't meet my expectations. Sorry but I'd pass since there are lots more to choose from in the area.

Great little place for a nice beef pho on a cool November afternoon. The small beef was a pho was more than enough. Spring rolls are huge and tasty. I'd say it's kind of a hole in the wall but it's actually more quaint. Truly tasty and authentic. Service is efficient.

After sitting down, we were automatically served a cup of hot tea. We started with a small bowl of pho and wowow the meat was so soft and tender. Kudos to the restaurant for not only having authentic Sriracha in these rare availability times as well as their own house made sauce. Word of warning, that house spice is really spicy. The size and price of the bowl is pretty fair for being in downtown San Jose. We also got the fried pho topped with Gravy, which was also excellent and finished with the fried banana, which was surprisingly doused in liquor and came flaming. Overall pleasantly surprised.

All my Viet's know this is an SJ institution. This restaurant has been here for decades and I have been coming here with my family since I was a kid. Their pho ap chao is unmatched and my go to order. Other menu favorites: fried banana, pho, banh cuon. Pro tip: their hot sauce (plain red bottle) is no joke - use with caution.

Total rip off fake pho spot with eye gouging prices And poor quality food My noodles looked swollen and soggy Ordered brisket pho and got shredded steak Service was terrible I asked if it was brisket and he told me there's brisket and steak (I didn't want steak the #1 only said brisket unless I'm blind but either way there was little to no briskest in there These people are charging 16$$ !! With sticky gross tables the ambiance was definitely not a vibe Will never come back or order pick up again The quality of this place DO NOT MATCH THE PRICING

Dac Phúc (pronounced somewhat like "foop" or "fook") was an overall authentic and robust experience of beef noodle soup. Their fried noodles slammed. Would go back again ^_^
