TLDR: Pork over ~ chicken and riceover ~ noodles.Been there twice and trust my review! Pork is juicer and fattier than chicken. Rice is better than noodle bc noodle might be a bit soggy. Food comes super fast and it's a fast casual so don't take your first date there loll! Also seen a lot of family go there. Kids love the place too. Pro tip: get desserts and drinks from other restaurants in the mitsuwa plaza. Guarantee a great time and meal. We love mochi cream there. Service is great. Seems family-run.

3.5 star overall! A good fast casual spot for comfort curry. You order at the kiosk (for both for here and to go) and seat yourself. Everything is self-service: picking out your drinks from the fridge, picking up food from counter, utensils, water cups, and returning trays. The other reviewers mentioned slow service but our food came out fast..but we also went around an off-hour like 4pm-ish.We ordered the chicken katsu, pork katsu, and an additional side of shrimp. The breading for the katsus were tasty but I felt like the chicken pieces were inconsistent. Some pieces were super thin and dry and other pieces were juicier. I suppose they hammered out the meat to be thinner on the edges. I didn't get to try the pork, but my bf seemed to enjoy it. The shrimps were super tasty!!! Crunchy af on the outside and nice soft shrimp on the inside. Curry itself was all right, it had a slightly pastier texture but still tasted good. I also liked how you could adjust the spice level. Medium actually had a decent kick!

Came on a whim on Monday because it was raining heavily and I was in the mood for soup or curry. Friends and I thought, "let's try this place."Let's start with the good:-simple menu on a tablet for self-order so you won't take long deciding what to order.-water and napkins are also self-serve so you won't have to wait for someone-fried chicken and fried pork katsu are FANTASTIC. One of the better places I've had. Chicken is nicely seasoned, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Pork katsu is nicely seasoned and crunchy and not overly dry. Overall, this is the restaurant's strongest highlight.Unfortunately, the lows are also staggering:-service for food is painfully slow. I saw several folks get up and ask for refund because they didn't get their food after waiting 30 minutes. They were busy filling in DoorDash orders first which all piled up anyway because one of the Dashers were there to pick up food-remember how I mention service was slow? Yeah it was evident when my food came. The udon noodles were overcooked. There was no chew at all. It was all limpy. I got my order after going to the front cashier and he said "oh shoot your order" and immediately handed to me.-curry sauce is watered down. No flavor and too watery. I also asked for medium spicy and all they did was add a little bit of paprika. Overall a disappointing curry bowl. Also be aware it is a small place, so wait times are inevitable. The good points were the fried food but for curry dishes and slow service makes it a disappointing first time experience.

Came here with a buddy after work. No lines. Fairly simple operation. Order your food yourself and wait for your order to be called. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry Rice and it was good. Didn't expect much as far as service goes when you're ordering through a tablet.

A great spot for classic Japanese curry. I've been here many times and usually go for the curry with rice, which is always delicious. I like to add their spicy powder, and the pickles are a great complement to the dish. The tonkatsu is cooked perfectly, making it a very satisfying and complete meal. However, I wasn't as impressed with their udon. The noodles felt overcooked and too soft, lacking that nice bite you expect. I'll stick with the rice in the future.

Son and I came here for lunch before grocery shopping next door.Pros- it's relatively fast. The katsu was done well, and they are generous with the little red pickles that enhance the curry. They have several different options to choose from- rice, udon noodles, or fries, and even the ability to add in steamed veggies.Cons- the curry texture was a little pasty. It's also a small spot, so keep that in mind.

After getting takeout many times from here, I decided to come here with a few coworkers. The place is really small, but there was just enough space for 4 of us.Our food came out pretty quick! I got the Sukiyaki Beef Curry Rice. Mild was perfect for me! The beef is thinly sliced, similar to shabu shabu meat. Very satisfying and easily soaks up the curry. A little on the salty side, but overall really satisfying!

Take out from Curry Life. They allowed us to use their table while they were closing up. Fresh, crunchy Katsu, and thick Japanese curry served on steamed rice. Yum!

I don't know about the curry, but the Pork Katsu is 5 STAR!I saw a photo of the katsu while waiting on line for sushi and changed my mind. I quickly ordered a side of Pork Katsu to go (just a snack). I have never had Japanese Curry, and as I learned more, thought maybe I should have ordered a bowl. Anyway, the Katsu would be a good test for whether I should in the future. Yum. Hot, crispy AND tender. I will definitely be back soon.
