Good food , reasonable prices Enjoyed the New Year , kids loved it Seasoning all over their faces

I've been ordering takeout from here for the past year, and the food has generally been good. My husband and I order at least once a week, as it's his go-to cheat meal. However, the last two times we've ordered, the crab has been inedible. It had a strange smell and an unpleasant taste that made it impossible to eat. We initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it might have been because we ordered close to closing time, but that still doesn't justify serving old crab.Tonight, we decided to give them another chance, but unfortunately, the king crab was once again bad. You can see in the picture that it wasn't fresh, with an off texture. Additionally, the clam chowder tasted watered down, as if they had stretched it to make it last longer.We were really disappointed and ended up having to throw everything out except the shrimp. It's unfortunate, but this was the last straw for us. We won't be supporting a business that consistently fails in quality control -- especially when it comes to seafood!

From previous reviews, I'm guessing service and food varies depending who is working but that should never be the case. My family and I were so excited to have our end of the year seafood boil dinner. This was our first time trying this Crabby Crabby location and this will also be the last. We ordered muscles in our seafood boil but there were no muscles. We also ordered a pound of headless shrimp but only found a few at the bottom of the bag. We got caught up in the excitement of receiving our food that we didn't notice all that was missing until the end (plus we had our toddlers with us)We also got sweet potato fries and fried shrimp with regular fries. The shrimp had a nice crunch, the tartar dip was yummy. The fries were nothing special.

Food was good!! I had a combo buy 3 lbs of shrimp get 1 for free! My kiddos f'd it up!!!! They enjoyed the shrimp so much! And they NEVER eat shrimp! My kids will only eat shrimp if it's from crabby crabby! We had a good amount that lasted us couple days. The guy over the phone helped me save money by offering the combo and told me I get a free 1lb of shrimp if I order 3lbs of shrimp. Comes with sides and don't forget to order your rice on the side. Crabby crabby I'm coming back . Maybe 1x a week to get a 4lb combo for my kids to last us couple days!

Good price and the sauce is great. But the shrimps are not the best. I will go back again because of the sauce. It will be great if they serve fresher seafood.

Where do I start. I have been desiring to try out seafood boil for a while now. I looked up a few placed and decided that this restaurant was the closest one. I went in and the service was fast and smooth. The ambiance was very welcoming, I wish i had taken a picture of the before but that 1lb dungeness cluster was so DELICIOUS!! That order was enough to feed 2 individuals. Definitely recommend and will be my to place for seafood boil!

My friend suggested that I try out Crabby,Crabby and I did. My first impression was ok cool I like the decor of this place. Customer service was very friendly, I ordered two crab boils I just couldn't go home with just one my kids wouldn't be happy at all. I ordered the snow crab with shrimp, sausages and potatoes and white rice. I must say It was very good especially the sauce, so if you're ever in San Leandro stop by and check them out.

Pretty solid seafood boil spot in San Leandro. We ordered garlic noodles, deep fried crab, and clams. The crab was really unique in that it was breaded like fried chicken. It was delicious BUT the breading was a bit much and could have been toned down a bit. We kept peeling it off and putting it to the side. The clams in the crabby crabby sauce was pretty delicious, but a little salty. It's a combo of the butter, garlic, and Cajun sauce. Good if you have a starch to go with it. Garlic noodles were okay. Super thick like udon noodles, not super garlicky unfortunately. Also, there was a long hair in it! Yuck. Besides that, this place was pretty good, but not great, especially compared to other favorites like Hang Ten in Alameda.

OkIn San Leandro and needed food!I looked up fish restaurant and they were close and I remembered watching an IG review about this establishment so I looked up the menu and called in a fried combo which consist of Fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, and calamari with Fries.I arrived at this no frills dive restaurant, paid $28, and waited about 15 minutes before I got a heavy bag of food. I mean it had to be 4 lbs of fried food. Hungry tail!!!! Lol I couldn't see myself trying just one item so I got all the fried goodness at once. They have a after fry seasoning that you can choose from mild, hot, or lemon pepper.. I chose HOT.First look I think they fried was a little hard and dark. The fish definitely was dark. The oysters were well fried but calamari had a hit or Miss thing going on. The first calamari ring was definitely over cooked but the second one was better. This would be a good thing to share while out being bad after cocktails- so much food but the delicate nature of seafood needs to cooked properly. I ate a few nibbles of fish, 2 oysters ( well cooked) , 2 shrimp, and 2 calamari rings.I think that they have a good selection but this fried combo is overcooked!

Crabby Crabby has been my favorite go to spot for crab and shrimp over the past several years. I always enjoy my meal and I appreciate the fast service. It's hardly ever crowded here and parking is a breeze. Staff is helpful and patient. Restaurant is clean. The only reason why I cannot give 4/5 stars is because the last few times I ordered take out, I can tell the quality of the shrimp is either old or a cheaper/smaller version of the headless shrimp I used to order frequently. It is obvious that they have changed the quality of the food, which would be okay if the prices match the quality. Reduce your prices, if you're going to reduce the quality, simple.
