This little spot was a very nice surprise. I have been spending a lot of time at the Stanford Hospital caring a family member and the cafeteria food can get very redundant. I love that this little cafe is about a halfmile walk, or a mile walk to and from total to the hospital. I merely ordered a small cappuccino. the food looked very good and they seemed to always have quite a few people enjoying their food outside. It is easy to miss. There is a very cool public sculpture of giant stone globes from around the world in the outside area in front of the cafe. If you see those stones you know you're in the right area. The arepas, salads, and sandwiches others were eating all looked very good.

Holiday round of golf with the boys. Came up the 9th hole and ordered some "Turndogs" from Coupa Cafe they have a nice F&B operation at the stanfordgolfcourse in Palo Alto. After I ordered I realized I had left my wallet in one of the golf bags which was already up on the green. So I had to walk the 0th fairway to catch up. By the time I was walking back, Coupa called to let me know the food was ready. Super friendly and quick. Food was good too!

Great salads, coffee, and desserts. They have Chuao's Spicy Maya mix, a spiced chocolate blend, which is amazing. Definitely try it in your hot chocolate or mocha! A little pricey, but expected for the area. And if you use their Coupa App, you get 5 dollars back for every $50 that you spend!

Popular, quick eatery with American and Venezuelan fare. They offer many sandwiches, wraps, salads, but also arepas and quesadillas. I like their paninis that come with a side of mixed greens. The line for lunch can be quite long, but they have the option to order ahead online through their website. The ambiance of their outdoor seating area is very nice and lively; it is situated in Stanford's Engineering Quad.

Ordered the elephant spice chai (there're also Tiger and orca if I didn't remember wrong). It's beyond my expectation cuz I had no idea how this 'elephant' thing would taste like. But the waiting time was a bit long. You might wanna try order on phone and come to pick up later.

I love Coupa's smoothies (especially the matcha one!) but today I had a rather unpleasant experience and I don't think I'll be returning for the foreseeable future. I placed my order for a matcha smoothie at the inside POS, noticing that there was already a smoothie that had been sitting at the pick-up counter for a while. The barista immediately gave me said smoothie, stating that it's purchaser had grabbed the wrong drink earlier and she "didn't want to make another one."Fine, I get it, I've worked in food service and I hate wasting stuff too. I take it, and upon tasting it, it's clear that it's been sitting out there for a while and it's completely melted. I politely asked if she could make a new one since I didn't want to pay $5.25 for an old, melted drink. She agreed and waited until I walked away before taking the old smoothie, blending it with a little more milk and ice (honestly I'm not even sure if she added ice), and handing it back to me. Needless to say, it was still melted and unappetizing. My mistake was not tasting it until I had left so I ended up throwing it down the drain, along with my money. I've never written a review before, but this incident ticked me off since I normally love Coupa. Time to try CoHo I suppose.

A surprisingly good lunch option on Stanford's campus, Coupa Cafe goes beyond your typical salads and sandwiches and offers some more interesting options like arepas as well! On my recent visit, I got the reina pepiada arepa, which was a Venezuelan chicken salad with mayo and avocado stuffed inside a cornmeal pocket. Amazing! The chicken salad was nice and moist, while the cornmeal pocket had a good chew and texture to it. The arepa went so well with the slightly spicy guasacaca sauce on the side, and the dish came with a simple side salad with a tangy dressing as well! Nice!

Falsely advertise food as gluten free! As someone with celiac disease, this was very dangerous. I do not appreciate the lack of communication and dishonesty. Instead, they should be honest that all food is cooked with flour and other gluten particles in the same frier/stove without any separation between the food! There's a big difference between "not a gluten free facility" and "guaranteed cross contact".

Decent cafe option if you're near the Stanford engineering quad. The coffee and drink options are all good--- so are the sandwiches and salads. I'm not a big fan of their arepas; I find them dry and flavorless. I also strongly dislike their breakfast sandwiches and burritos, which contain an excessive amount of overcooked and under-seasoned scrambled eggs. I don't understand how any self-respecting food establishment can serve those monstrosities to people. In short, stay away from the eggs and you'll be fine. I also recommend ordering through their app because the lines can get long.
