Excellent spot for some authentic Taiwanese bentos! I've only ordered take out so this review is solely based on their food.B2 Grilled Gpie Rice Plate is pretty fire as well as their B1 Gpie Rice Plate which is their staple. The flavors, texture, and portion you get leave you satisfied and quite full.I've also tried out their G6 Grilled King Oysters Mushrooms, F9 Crispy Tofu, and F6 Seasoned Fries and they are all decent. Nothing amazing here but all nice to have.I was going to comment on their slightly expensive price, but I guess $20 for a box has been a norm. A comparable option would be Shihlin which use to be $16-$18 but I just checked and they are now $20 as well. It's still a good meal that will leave you full and happy for ~$20. I'm hungry just thinking about it.

Crispy, perfectly seasoned, flavorful and juicy. This applies to both the fried chicken and pork bentos. $20 sounds steep, but you really get what you pay for--two meals' worth of solid "yes please" with well balanced sides and actually amazing chicken.Tell your friends and bring your mom--this is the bento Taiwanese parliament would fight over.

My wife and I had been here years ago. I stopped in and they had completely remodeled the place. Apparently, about a year ago. It does look nicer and modern inside. There are more table type seating, then before. The menu is simpler than before. But, also they added lunch boxes/combinations.Traditional GPIE Chicken (4/5) - lightly breaded and deep-fried to a golden brown. They use dark meat so it juicy.

Got the pork belly plate and it includes minced pork on the rice , green beans , corn. Tastes like a home cooked meal and comes in a decent portion. I would want to try other plate options now too

Really good for the price! They also have a slight discount on Tuesdays which is great.I really like the fried squid rice plate! Super crispy and a lot of good sides too. It's a small interior with a little room for seating, there's also a bell if there's no one in the front but they're pretty quick.

I always make it a point to stop by Chicken and Tea whenever I'm in town. My lady knows the owner, so it's become a must-visit spot for us. I tend to over-order and take some home since I live in Davis, and their fried chicken holds up great in the air fryer. I also go for their bentos but always make sure to get their fried chicken cutlets whole and cut them myself. One time, I even froze them, defrosted the next day, and air-fried them--and they were still just as good. Highly recommend!

I have been a customer here three times. I had the popcorn chicken twice and a bento box once. The basil popcorn chicken is my favorite; it is delicious, affordable, and filling. The bento box was decent, but not amazing. The pricing was great for the variety of food you get though. The place is designed for to-go because of its affordable prices and convenient packaging (every already packaged as to-go). Even if you get the food to eat there, it's self-serve. The inside is small and can get crowded though. I only dined in once during a hot evening and the one running fan was not cutting it for us. I noticed there was outside seating, but it was even hotter outside. In conclusion, the place has good prices and convenient packaging that is perfect for to-go orders. Don't expect too much for a dine-in experience though.

Taiwanese casual restaurant. Not much seating & most people take to go. Food 5/5:B1 rice plate $16: Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet with rice, one egg, veggies & a lot of chicken. It was very big & saved half of it for the next day. I would like to try more of their items.

I love chick & tea for their quick and easy bento meals! Most recently I got the popcorn chicken bento and I was really impressed by their chicken! They give lots of basil which I love and the quantity of chicken was generous as well! I enjoy their rotating side dishes and this time it was a tasty little curry side. This is great for takeout to go on a picnic or to even eat in your car! I'll keep coming back

Just had a full meal came by for a cool refreshing lemonade Chick & Tea hits the spot a small boba cafe located in a large Asian plaza with ample parking. The popularity of Taiwanese street food is phenomenal for its quick and easy meal among them are the deep fried grilled appetizers and rice plates it's more of a take-out and you can placed your orders ahead a time for pickup or by delivery service and drinks are far cheaper than its competitors so I chose L5 wintermelon lemonade 100% regular ice 50% less sweetness only comes in one size for mere $4.99 elsewhere $6.50 or more. Staff very friendly quick service would definitely come back for fresh brew tea or smoothies perhaps an appertizer or two on the plus side you get a discount if you pay cash rather than by credit or debit card. By the way they do have limited indoor and outdoor seating.
