Some of the BEST carne asada I've ever tasted. My friends from the area brought me here. I hope to come back here soon. She got a burrito, and I got a carne asada sope - it was SOOOO GOOD. The restaurant was located on the left side of the entrance of the supermarket. The service was fast, and the area was very clean. Just know there is a gym located above the location, so you may hear a weight drop here or there above you.

I went there to buy candy, they were dry hard and I checked the expired date. IT WAS ONE YEAR OLD. I do not like this and they should check the expiration dates. Overall the workers are very kind.

Although an average to good taqueria, Chavez nickels and dimes you for everything. Where any other taqueria in the South Bay offers free condiments such as cilantro, onions, or jalapeños, Chavez charges a lot for these. I often by carnitas by the pound and ask them to put onions and cilantro on top. Instead they sell me a small container that costs more than a whole onion and bunch of cilantro. Crazy as you would think Chavez gets these at a lower wholesale rate as a large supermarket than a small taqueria doe

This is a newer market (still has its grand opening sign up) located in San Jose. As I have stated in previous reviews we are suckers of any and all ethnic grocery stores. Like our obsession with Costco, there is a treasure hunt aspect to them. This one has a medium sized eatery which we did not sample as well as a full butcher shop and bakery. Oddly the produce section seemed on the small side. The store itself had nice wide isles and was well stocked otherwise. The staff was friendly and helpful. It also had plenty of parking

The good:This is a Hispanic supermarket chain in the bay area. The market is really clean and organized since it is new. The parking lot is massive and the aisles are spacious. Inside, there's a taqueria that sells fresh/hot food. They have a bakery section with desserts like pan dulce and tres leches. I got some chopped spicy chicken that was pre-marinated from the butcher's area in the back for $5.99/lb. I also bought other ingredients for street tacos here. They sold a lot more American products than I expected (compared to the American food section in Asian markets for instance). The bad:There was a pile of trash/dust that someone had been sweeping (I am guessing) that was left in the middle of the large walkway. A lot of the prepared marinated meats were $5.99/per pound or more. I thought it was a bit on the pricey side. The interesting:You can order delivery or pickup from their taqueria using their online website.

Workers are friendly for the most part. It's below/next a 24 hour fitness so you can hear the sound of dumbbells and barbells slamming on the ceiling. I've been going in recently but some of the things are overpriced (such as milk where a gallon is $5.96 when I can drive down the street to target and get a gallon of whole milk for $4. I came in today debating on the milk and looking up how much target milk was then decided to just buy a mango milk. Sat in my car for 5 minutes looking up milk prices at different stores then their security guard followed me down 2 blocks in his car as if I committed a crime. Mans coulda had me at my car if I really did steal. I didn't mind going here but that interaction got me weirded out.

Very nice new supermarket in town. It was super clean and fully packed with all kinds of Mexican and Latin American foods. The service was friendly and quick. We came by to purchase some meats, salsas and cheeses for a weekend bbq. The carne asada arrachera preparada was some of the tastiest and most tender pieces of meat I've ever purchased. My wife and I are astounded. We also purchased some fruits and veggies that were fresh and tasty. Even the store prepared chips that were bagged and put on shelves were very crunchy and fresh. We will definitely be back.

This review is mostly about the taqueria. They make a good burrito. All the meat choices and one of the few places in the area that actually have beef lengua (look it up) on hand every time. Slightly pricey at $12 for a "super" that comes with cheese and guacamole.
