LLarge dining area . Clean and ready to serve. The ambience was they had some music playing that was top best guitar mix via u tube. They might need to find something a little more cultural.the service was fast and precise, but the price was high and the food was great the vegetables and meat fresh and tasty prepared with the tune of ,I would recommend and return, we were able to to have the sampler appetizers that was perfect for our party of 4 people. We were blessed with the meat platter and this was cooked with perfection the lamb was a true treat. The platter was large and delicious with chicken and beef.

Fantastic food and friendly service.Caspian has a bit of an identity crisis. It's not super clear if it's trying to be a fancier sit down restaurant or a more casual strip mall joint. The decoration and atmosphere are somewhat disjointed with some nice elements, but the TV, cashier, and sign outside keeping it casual. The service is super friendly and welcoming, but very informal. I wish the atmosphere was brighter and more inviting. Don't be deterred though, the food is absolutely fantastic. The kebabs were juicy, perfectly seasoned, fresh, delicious. The rice was perfect. The only element that could have been better was the salad dressing, which tasted like it came out of a bottle. Worth checking out for a casual lunch or dinner.

Upon being seated, you get warm pita. Service was quick and employees are so friendly. They are so kind!I got the filet mignon and koobideh combo which comes with two skewers, salad, and rice. My brother got the lamb chops. Lamb chops were so juicy and tender and flavorful. I loved my beef skewers. They were nicely charred and had so much flavor.We also got the tah dig which is crispy rice crust with both their stews (gheimeh and ghormeh stew)Portions are massive and I loved everything I got!

This was a nice spot with good service and generous portions. Parking is convenient since it's attached to a small strip mall. The chicken was delicious, and I loved the variety of vegetables they serve. However, I wasn't a fan of the raw white onions it was the first time I'd seen that in Mediterranean food.

10/2/2024Caspian Restaurant1910 W El Camino RealMountain View, CA 94040Went here as a single for a mid-afternoon meal on a Wed. It's in a dying plaza with lots of parking. The interior is a contemporary table and chair setup and clean. I was the only one there at 3 PM.I ordered the beef koobideh, which also had a nice pita, hummus and tzatziki board accompaniment. The kabob was medium well, juicy and spiced to perfection. The rice, tomatoes, salad and pickles were a good match. The quantity was generous and I took about half home for another meal. Great value and flavor, maybe order medium rare next time. Definite repeat.

I don't get why this place isn't filled at all times! No other similar restaurants make koobideh, joojeh kabobs, and dill & fava beans rice as well as they do. Their use of spices is non-matched and the charring is always on point

It was a really great meal. The platter we had was big enough for two rather than just an individual. The kebabs were a bit off for my liking but still ok. The chicken was really good. I the restaurant was empty due to the time we ate so we had no issues with waiting. The lady that was our waitress was really nice and helped my son with his order and give him advice on how to eat some of it. The eggplant dip is some of the best I've had. Here or overseas. I could fill up on that. The only issue I had with the "ambiance" was how dark the latrine was. It's painted black and they only had one light that works in the men's. The dinning area has nice tables and the music was really nice that they had playing. It turned out to be a happy find.

The service they provided was a bit rough. We were waiting to be seated for some time and didn't see anyone. There was only one other pair nearly finished eating at the restaurant, otherwisebit was empty. After some time, some workers showed up and it took them a while to get their help after trying to get their attention.We ended up ordering a fillet mignon and kebab and our friends got the chicken and beef. The chicken and beef looked far better.When we were ordering, it was very awkward as she seemed very confused with my SO's requests. Anywho, when the food arrived, lots of rice spilled into my SO's water and table.The food quality is not the best and the beef was not really a fillet mignon. We felt they gave us something else randomly. Not the best experience, it's a skip for us.

Beef and chicken are good. Fillet is not. Overall pretty good: rice, salad and kebab.
