I've been coming here since I was 8. My parents used to take me 2-3x a month, and I always asked for a plain cheese dog (Jr. hot dog I believe) little did I know I was missing out on the toppings because I was picky. Fast forward 30 years, the quality is still just as great, and now I get to bring my own family here. I still see the same colored seats and all, it's nostalgia for me. Try the cheese dog with everything or the chili cheese dog!

This place is a Bay Area legend I've heard and I figured since I was in Hayward to get clothes for work, I'd check this out bc there isn't a location in SF for me to go to. The place had 1960s/70s vibes for sure, with an elderly woman serving my food (felt like being in a movie where there's an old lady named Flo taking your order). The hot dogs were.... Hot dogs. To me, it was nothing super spectacular BUT let's not discount that they were good. If you're in the area definitely try them but I wouldn't go way out my way to get one.

Local hot dog chain that serves some pretty delicious hot dogs! It's a pretty dated, establishment, but I feel like that makes its personality shine through. There's parking at the side and a decent amount of booth and counter side seating as well. The workers were very friendly and welcoming and I really enjoyed that. We got the Hot Link with the following toppings: tomato, onion, mustard, and relish. They even offered to cut the Hot Link in half since we were planning to share it as a snack. The Hot Link was decently spicy, not a super strong kick but hit the spot with all the other toppings and condiments on top. They don't skimp out on them either. I'd drop by again next time when I get the chance!

My guilty pleasure, forever. Whenever I drive past Hayward, there's better than even odds I stop by this wonderful establishment. There's a reason why this place is basically a local establishment. First, the service is super-fast, attentive, and great. They'll quickly ask you for everything you want on and not on the hotdog (though for me, the typical answer is that I want everything on it). The hot dogs are made warm and hot from their contained hot dog containment device. Second, the hot dogs are just really good. Each of them is flavorful - and I think at this point I've had every single hot dog on the menu. My favorite in particular is the hot link - it's actually pretty hot! They told me it was pretty spicy and they were right - definitely has a kick. It's also very convenient, since they put all the condiments in for you and you can obviously request which condiments you want and which one you don't. So it's actually something that can be eaten to-go. Pricing is more or less affordable and fine. Comparable to what you'd pay at most fast food restaurants if not slightly less, but with really a higher tier of quality. Outside of Costco hot dogs (which are pretty much not meant to make money, they're famous loss-leaders meant to entice people to go to Costco), these are definitely some of the best hot dogs you can get at this price point.Highly recommended anything anyone is in Hayward!

Please support this local business as much as possible! A classic hole in the wall that desperately needs your business. This place has been around forever and is an iconic bay area spot. Don't want to see it get closed down!

After trying the other hot dog place that starts with a K, it was time to try here.I ordered a Casper dog, which was a pork beef blend and an all beef with chili.The pork beef had a nice snap and the all beef was very large. The chili was mostly beans. Overall, the staff was very nice however everything lacked flavor.

Best hot dogs on the planet hands down. They have been around since for ever. Unfortunately one of the Hayward locations recently closed but they still have the foothill location and a couple in Oakland I believe. Counter service is great and it's old school all the way definitely stop by one of the locations and give the. A try you want be disappointed

Caspers Hot Dogs has been on Mission Blvd in Hayward since 1968! Those hot dogs are still VERY GOOD!!! The service is also very good!!! Very friendly!! Been going there for years! It"s still a very popular place!
