Does this look ridiculous to you? I paid $12 for this! $12 for one measly meatball on a bed of steamed rice! They didn't even drizzle the sauce all over the rice. When I went in to order they told me there would be 4 meatballs in my order. I don't know if that was a miscommunication or not, but when I opened the box that was not the case. They should not charge $12 for one meatball and some rice. It tastes good but I am not coming back.

Been working in Oakland for 4 years and stopped by for the very first time. Got in and out really quickly with my take out order. Small place with ready to eat food. I chose a two item plate with chow mein, chicken and salt and pepper shrimp. The chow mein was tasty but had way too many veggies in it. Would have preferred more noodles. But that could have been the luck of the draw. The chicken was tasty but dry. Probably won't get that again. The shrimp was the best. A bit of a zest to it and cooked well. The shrimp were good size too. This I will get again. Overall you can have good days and bad days with ready made food. The food is sitting out there for who knows how long but there was a constant flow of customers.

The bread was stale and hard. The BBQ pork was so dry, I can barely chew it. I often by BBQ pork in Chinatown, and this is awful in comparison. The taste is bland and the texture is hard cardboard. The two women working behind the counter were conversing and socializing with each other the entire time; the one helping me barely spoke to me even though I was the lone customer when I went it.I forced myself to eat half of the sandwich and threw away the other half.

I really want to like this place but each time I gave this place a try it just disappoints me. I bought their egg rolls and it was probably old because they refried it. Egg roll was drenched in oil and it tasted like old oil. Separate occasion I bought their banh cuon. It was cold and hard. Skin was too thick. I also tried their porridge and Chinese donut. Porridge taste like it was old and reboiled many times, the taste and texture was just off. I can't explain it. It was like putting rice in a blender. That's how it looked. The Chinese donut was definitely old because it was stale. I am done giving this place another try. I wish Cam Huong was still here in Chinatown.

Wow, didn't know this place had noodles. Pho, Bum bo hue and this "bun thit nuong" dish (at least I think that's what it's called. It's delish!! Tried their pho the other day! Yum. Good job Cam Anh!

I like the place for a few reasons. First it's always neat and clean and never have I had anything bad from it. The lady's who work in the store are always inviting and kind. Today's lunch adventure drew me in for some noodle soup. I always order the Bún bò Huế. There is a picture hanging in their front window and it's number 1.Bún bò Huế is a spicy beef noodle soup. This soup is spicy, salty goodness. I needed it today! Yesterday I sat in the rain watching my 49ers and since I just couldn't get warm. Go Niners! I'm freezing all day and slightly hungover until I got my Bún bò Huế fix. My bones are now warm and all my bad choices yesterday are washed away. I'd love a nap but the soup will fuel the day. As I said above it's spicy and just the right amount of salty. It's a large portion I always have two meals from it. It's packed with almost spaghetti type noodles which I like. I wish they offered an egg noodle but they don't. There is a ton of season beef, some meat cakes and a delicious pork knuckle. They give you a bag full of fresh cabbage, jalapeño, sprouts, cilantro and onion. Plus the give you a Hoisin Sauce and packet of Sriracha. All total it's about 16.00 to 18.00 bucks but again packed with flavor and super tasty IMO. This establishment also offers a selection of Banh Mi sandwiches. My fav is the pork. They also have a hot tray bar for some quick grab and go.

Sandwiches are dry, small and expensive. Asked for no peppers, sandwich had peppers. Entree options are limited, $10 for an entree with a side of steamed rice, fried rice or noodles. The Thit Kho was tough and dry too.

On a Saturday morning, I decided to try two banh mi sandwiches, the #14 with bbq pork and an op la egg banh mi, from Cam Anh. Unfortunately, both banh mi missed the mark in terms of freshness and flavor. For a solid banh mi, three essential elements are crucial: freshly baked banh mi, fresh ingredients, and flavorful meat. Regrettably, Cam Anh failed to deliver on all three aspects, resulting in a disappointing experience.The bread in the banh mi seemed like it was from yesterday, lacking the softness and freshness that are characteristic of a well-prepared banh mi. This immediately affected the first bite, where the bread and initial filling failed to impress.The second bite was equally underwhelming, as the protein lacked the expected flavor and appeal. The combination of these shortcomings left me unsatisfied with the overall taste and quality of the banh mi sandwiches.In addition to the food, I found the interactions with the staff, particularly one of the ladies who I believe is the owner, to be out of touch. Referring to customers as "dear" without a prior connection can come across as insincere and distant.This dear will not be back.

One of my favorite coffee spots in Oakland. Quick service, I love the date tahini latte, and the staff is always incredibly welcoming and friendly. A great way to start the morning.
