Some trucks can be too pricy but Cali Cruisin stays just competitive enough to stand out. I ordered the fried chicken and fries. I got three pieces of chicken (pretty tasty) and a tray of fries (great flavor) for $10. Not super cheap but I frequently pay around $17 at the trucks. The folks were kind and my food came with bbq sauce, ranch, and ketchup at no extra cost. (I did specifically request the bbq sauce so be sure to do this)They also sell soft drinks. I wouldn't eat here every week but once in a while it's pretty good.

I try to write my reviews as to when I visit or do a check-in for the different businesses. I have an outstanding review to prepare, but doing this one before the Hilton Garden Inn in Emeryville is brief and much simpler.Cali Cruisin is a food truck that was at Championship Plaza, Oakland Alameda County Coliseum yesterday afternoon during an A's game. Their specialties are seafood and fries, po boys, cheesesteaks.Their truck has photos and descriptions posted of different food items. That is somewhat helpful for indecisive people like myself. After perusing the description, I placed my order - two popcorn shrimp po boys, please. The total cost: $28. Pricey! I can say I won't purchase these po boy sandwiches again. Even though there were at least 14 to 15 pieces of shrimp, which was fine, I would rather have a dozen pieces of shrimp and a side of Cajun fries for $14. Also, my preference is remoulade sauce over the tartar sauce on the shrimp po boy and add or at least have some Louisiana hot sauce available to give that sammie some kick.Return visit? Might, then might not. The jury is out on Cali Cruisin.

My apartment community had sent out a menu earlier in the day and this was the first time i'd heard of the po' boy sandwich. A few youtube videos later i was fully bought into the hype and was pretty excited to try it out. Ordered a popcorn shrimp po' boy and it was prepared and handed to me within a few minutes. The portion size was huge and i had to eat a few of the popcorn pieces before i could even fold the roll lmao. The shrimp was battered pretty thick and the french roll was not really crunchy, so i'd say it was an alright sandwich. It could definitely be better and i was never gonna get a NOLA level sandwich anyway, so no sweat. The truck has a bunch of sandwich and app options to choose from, so it's definitely worth checking out. And props to the folks for showing up on such a hot day!7/10 would go back again!

Cali Cruisin has a blu-ish landscape s.f. scenery on it's chasis that's unique and memorable. this is a repost of a review that has vanished.locale: bishop shop city center nearby fieldworks brewery offerings: seafood & fries, chicken strips, sides, cheesesteaks, 'po boys.eats: fish & chip-large pieces fried fish that's obviously sourced from an wholesale warehouse. cooked just right, neither overcooked nor undercooked-huge amount of fries. tasted right when i got them. got soggy as i couldn't eat them fast enough.leftovers:-doubtful repeat as most items are fried on site. -items served do not appear to be handcrafted.-food truck mafia no longer services city center location.

D'oh! I had pry from this truck before and realized it too late. Ordered the fish and fries - the ones they battered were good but the one that looked like it came out of a box wasn't cooked thoroughly enough and was soggy. Fries were good but I don't think it's worth $14.

Cali Cruisin was at an event I attended recently. My review is only for the bacon cheese fries and their popcorn shrimp with fries. Both which were made fresh and tasted unhealthily good. I was surprised at the amount of shrimp. I counted over a dozen. My concern is the price. I paid $23 for the two items, which included a tip.

Fish and Fries for $14... fish seems over cooked... some parts of the battered fried fish is a little chewy. It seems that they just use frozen premade battered fish that are sold frozen and they just deep fried them. Not worth my money.

Person handing out my food at the food truck was very rude, I was unable to hear my order number and when I asked if he called it he said "along time ago u never came" and proceeded to call another order, when I asked if he still had it he said "you're messing up my line don't mess up my line". Good good but poor customer service
