Caffe Teatro Oakland

I've been here before. The food is tasty and always fresh. Coffee is made fresh all day. Today my server was Hyat. She had a big smile gracious welcome, I felt right at home. I ordered my everything bagel with cream cheese and it comes as a sandwich with tomato and lettuce and she did it perfectly.It's always clean here and you have the choice of sitting outside in the rotunda or inside . There's always some here that enjoy just working coffee I here. It's acquiet little space while they have their bakery or pastry and looks like they've come from the bakery fresh. They also have a menu with this slice no sandwiches to choose from.I returned there and have a little something every time my wife is here on business . Wonderful.

Stopped by for coffee while my Mom was seeing her doctor across the way. Caffe Teatro is on the ground floor of the Rotunda -- a beautifully restored, 110-year-old building in downtown Oakland.I ordered an oatmilk latte -- it was good & inexpensive ($4.90).If you're looking for a nice, peaceful place to enjoy coffee, tea, pastries, oatmeal, salads and more, give Caffe Teatro a try!

My partner and I loved the ambiance and service of this place. An unexpected hole in the wall the food and coffee were just a bonus. Recommend 100 times over.

not only were the aesthetics of this shop super unique and home-y but the staff were super friendly and super sweet! it was my first time trying this spot and i truly loved their drinks (my rec would be the mocha bianca like a white chocolate mocha) and its also a great spot to get some work done its definitely a bit hidden within the rotunda and enclosed between all these offices but its 10/10 worth checkin out!

I work close and stop here often to either grab lunch or take a coffee break. I absolutely love this place! It's locally owned, the staff are super nice and their food is super tasty. I love trying the soups that they make and am in love with their Chai. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you work or are near downtown Oakland.

Large coffee with no additives. Chocolate and nutty flavors which sit on the back of the palette. Medium to full body drink which is very satisfying with the long lasting flavors.Opens at 8am during COVID.

You would think with a name like Caffe Teatro that you would expect the staff singing Puccini arias in full costume, but no, there isn't much you could consider theatrical at this compact coffee stop. It must be its placement in the dramatic Rotunda building that must have inspired its moniker. But you don't see stagings of "Tosca" here, just working drones walking to and fro on the open floors like any other office building. I have to admit that the only reason I've come here several times is that it's on the way to my dentist's office. $2.35 will get you a steaming-hot, medium au lait.I take BART from the city and hate the swill they serve in the office's reception area. I came upon Caffe Teatro accidentally and must be subconsciously drawn to the high ceilings of the rotunda since there's nothing distinctive about their coffee. I wouldn't know about their baked goods. Don't you remember?... I'm on my way to the dentist, for Pete's sake. They are quick here and not particularly chatty unless you're a regular of which there appears to be a constant stream. I'm always in a hurry anyway. The soft leather love-seat is inviting unless a laptopper beats you to it. Maybe it's time I sing a cantata for my caffeine. COFFEE - 3 stars...run-of-the-mill put through the mill AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...I can hear an echo in here SERVICE - 3 stars...they seem to favor their regulars TOTAL - 3 stars...hey, at least I have decent caffeine before facing the dental drill

Wonderful service as well as great coffee and food. The cafe is gorgeous and has a very welcoming staff.

I enjoyed a pastrami sandwich today, the place was clean with EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!IF you're ever down town in Oakland CA. Drop in you will be pleased....

Good and service was awesome, ambiance not so good, though it is inviting and decent music level. What makes it not so great is people watching videos on the laptops without earphones, Management should say something g so everyone can enjoy the sitting area
