Can get busy and a little difficult to secure a table, but overall a very decent study spot! Everyone around us was studying, so it was easy to be productive/focused. There were a moderate amount of charging outlets depending where you sat Ordered the strawberry cream cheese honey bread to share and was very satisfied :) the perfect amount of sweetness Would come back to study + try their drinks

We came here on a whim after a afternoon run and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks, food, and atmosphere. It was quite busy in terms of open tables on a Sunday afternoon. It is a perfect spot studying or doing remote work from home. The space has lots of tables for around 40 ppl but when we went all were full. It was quick to get our drinks and food so we found an open table outside. Lots of your usual drink options with adjustable dairy/non-dairy substitutes and sweetness levels. Beautiful sweet and savory breakfast/brunch options to pair with your coffee. We got the matcha latte & matcha frappe along with the Hokkaido Crepe Cake per the barista's recommendation. Would 100% get the matcha latte again and the Hokkaido Crepe Cake is a new favorite that will have me returning soon :) Hokkaido crepe cake was the perfect level of not too sweet and had chocolate crunchies that gave it a fun texture similar to mini wafers.

I found the perfect workstation with great coffee and a delicious selection of desserts! They offer a variety of unique coffee flavors, and on another visit, I tried the mango smoothie--it was amazing! I also love their honey bread and can't wait to come back, get some work done, and try more of their breads and coffees. Plus, they have plenty of free parking in the garage!

Cute coffee shop with plenty of seating!! I got a vanilla latte and it was pretty sweet but otherwise tastes like any other latte. It's a pretty nice spot to study or get some work done!

They have covered retail parking free for 2 hours right behind the cafe.Loved the feel of this cafe and it's really close by to where i live. It opens at 9 am which works perfectly for morning coffee for me :) afted i do my amazon returns at the ups next door :pAs you enter the warm interior, you can smell the coffee beans grinding and friendly staff is smiling at you to take your order. They have daily specials and most of their bakery items looked fresh and pricey. It is a self-service cafe so you order at the counter when you enter, keep your receipt if you want to use their wifi code and then go pick up your order when they call your number. After you are done, leave your plates at the designated counter. In $20, i got:- hazelnut cappuccino 5/5 - huge portion size and i usually get it extra hot. You can grab sugar and stirrer from condiments counter- spicy chicken sandwich 4/5 - korean chicken with mozzarella on ciabatta with a small side of vinegar drenched baby spinach leaves Most people sitting here were either working on their laptops or reading their books so it was fairly quiet which i liked. They have a variety of seating areas - indoor benches, regular table/chair, high chairs, breakfast counters and outdoor seating.Clean restrooms is always a plus!

This is one of my friend's favorite cafes in South Bay, so we decided to meet here for an early morning coffee to catch up! At a little before 10:30 on a Wednesday morning, there were only a couple of customers sitting at the tables. My friend decided to order their house milk tea, while I opted to try their corn latte. There was plenty of seating to choose from, so we sat by the windows to chat while waiting for our drinks. Our drinks were ready within a few minutes. My friend enjoyed her milk tea, and I also liked my corn latte, though I will say the corn flavor was more on the subtle side. That being said, you can definitely tell they used real corn because I felt remnants of thin corn skins as I was sipping on my latte.Wouldn't be opposed to coming back and trying their other menu options (specifically their cakes and pastries) if I'm in the area! Overall a solid space to chat with friends or get some work done.

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to Café Bene in San Jose. With the Bay Area being home to so many excellent cafes, I was shocked to see this place as busy as it was, given the subpar experience I had.The coffee was mediocre at best--completely lacking the rich flavor or balance you'd expect from a café. We ordered three lattes, none of which impressed, and a tiramisu that was downright bad. It tasted stale and lacked the creamy indulgence you associate with this classic dessert. What made the experience truly unpleasant, though, was the service. The baristas were rude and dismissive. Even worse, their behavior came across as overtly racist, which is completely unacceptable. As paying customers who also tipped, we deserved at least basic respect, if not warm hospitality.I would not recommend Café Bene to anyone seeking quality coffee, good ambience or a welcoming experience. With so many fantastic alternatives in the Bay Area, you're better off spending your time and money elsewhere.I would give 0 stars if I could.

I decided to come here after work to focus on writing an essay. I arrived around 4pm and instantly noticed that it was crowded. I started scanning the not-so-big place to see if I could sit anywhere. There was a long communal table and a free chair in front of a man, so I asked him if I could sit, and he kindly nodded. I put my stuff down and headed to the restroom (which was clean! Thank you!). I returned from the bathroom, saw an empty table, and moved since I was waiting for my husband to arrive. I tried to log into wifi, but there was no sign with a passcode, so I asked, and the manager said the wifi password is on the receipt after you purchase something. I told her I hadn't bought anything yet, returned to my space, and logged into my hotspot. I wasn't quite ready to order anything yet. About twenty minutes later, my boo arrived, and he ordered a coffee and sandwich while I stepped outside for a phone call. When I returned, I tried his coffee and was inspired to order the same thing. I asked him what it was, and he told me macchiato, so I went and ordered a macchiato and was presented with what looked like an itsy-bitsy cappuccino. I said um, I tried to order what my husband ordered, and this is not it. I looked towards him, and they said oh, that's a caramel macchiato. I asked if I could get that instead, and they said I'd have to pay for the new drink. I said it was an honest mistake, especially since my husband's first language is not English, and the employee said no, so I turned into a Karen and asked for the manager. The manager specified that it was my bad and couldn't do anything about it. I tried to explain about the honest mistake and him not speaking English well, so she then resorted to charging me the difference, which is fine.I honestly refrain from complaining or causing a scene; the thing is that tiny macchiato was like two tablespoons of espresso with some foam on top--tiny. It was bitty, and I would've drank it, but it tasted like tar, and I wasn't in the mood for tar.I paid the difference and got my new drink, and I swear you'd think that I had just asked them for twenty free drinks...they were so annoyed by me. I almost didn't want to drink the coffee because of the bad mojo, but I blessed my cup and drank it anyway. Instead of writing my essay, I am writing this review, and in this time, I've had to use the bathroom again. This time I noticed a sign on the hand dryer (no paper towels are provided) that says to not dry your hands with toilet paper. Um...I will dry my hands with TP if I want to.

Great study spot--if you can find a seat! It's one of the few comfortable places to study in the area, with a great atmosphere. However, it can get overwhelming when it's crowded.I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I can't speak for their coffee, but the lychee rose tea is pretty good. My go-to (for getting the WiFi password) is the matcha strawberry however its consistency varies--sometimes it's a smooth, milky strawberry drink, and other times, it's just straight up strawberry jam at the bottom.
