Shout out to NINA!!! If I already didn't love Cafes Quan before... you totally sealed the deal!! Thank You for your hospitality and extra kindness provided to my little one. YOU ABSOLUTELY MADE HER DAY [with that macaron]!!Since we were in the neighborhood my family and I decided to stop by for some drinks. This isn't our first rodeo with Cafes Quan so we already knew they would come through with some much needed, fire tasting caffeine.Purchases included:Cafe Trứng [egg coffee]Cafe Sữa Lá Dứa [pandan coffee]Trà Hoa Cúc Long Nhãn [Chrysanthemum Longan Tea]Egg coffee is amazing. If you are already a fan of this particular coffee or if you are a newbie... this drink is an absolute must!! This baby is a flavor bomb with each sip- rich, creamy, strong espresso punch, with a sweet custardiness that balances everything out. The pandan coffee totally reminded me of SoCal's Da Vien- and for those who know, KNOW!! This drink is the quintessential flavors of what you would expect in traditional Vietnamese coffee. Each sip will have your throat hit with strong coffee flavors & just about double the caffeine of your average cup of joe. The pandan provides a sweet, smooth, & deliciously floral note to offset the bitterness. Chrysanthemum longan tea is refreshing. This herbal tea is non caffeinated and greatly thirsty quenching. My toddler gives it her 2 thumbs of approval. 5/5 stars. Staff is great and the drinks are always delicious! Bonus points in my book because corners aren't being cut when it comes to quality ingredients. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

IMO.... Was super excited to try the banh mi Que here. Filling is perfect, but the bread! the bread was not good. It was basic baguette that you could get at Safeway. Vietnamese baguette is suppose to be super airy with a nice crunch on the outside. The texture of the bread here is way off. If they could get duc Huong to make mini baguettes and deliver to them so they can make their sandwiches, it would be heavenly. Even Lee's sandwiches bread is better than this one. The coffee is ok as well. Overall, if they can get their bread in line, I would come back just for that. At this point in time, I would not recommend their sandwiches and their coffee is not good enough for me to come back.Give them a try yourself! Hopefully the manager can do taste test and get the bread to be the true french/vietnamese baguette.

Decorations was nice. We came early at 8:30am on a Sunday and was the only customer there. I got the egg coffee 50% sweetness. It was well balanced not too bitter. Coffee was pretty strong. My boyfriend's pandan coffee was sooo good. I would get 25% next time though. 50% was a bit sweet for my taste. I also got a pate and pork ham banh mi and it was so good. Perfect snack size.Would totally recommend!

The first thing I noticed as I stepped into Cafes Quan was the unique, monochrome colored ambiance, complete with a relatively decent amount of seating. It seemed like an alright place to work, though I was unfortunately only there to pick up drinks so I couldn't stay for long. The service was alright. I decided to get the egg coffee and a coconut coffee, both of which came at a relatively reasonable amount of time. The drinks themselves were enjoyable (I recall there being coconut flakes in my coconut coffee which was interesting), though there was one minor flaw - my caffeine tolerance is awful, and I overestimated how much of it I could handle. Dealing with the side effects of excess caffeine was not fun. On the bright side, I at least know what my limits are for the future.Overall, Cafes Quan is an amazing place for coffee drinkers who have a high caffeine tolerance. If you're someone like me, it might be best to go elsewhere. I recall there being caffeine-free options, but I can't remember what they were and the appeal of this place appears to be the caffeinated drinks anyway.

Cafes Quan is being slept on! This hidden gem is located in the Lion Plaza and serves up strong Vietnamese coffee and Banh Mi Que.With so much competition for Vietnamese coffee, you gotta have something to keep people coming back, though not too impressed by Bobo Drinks. Cafes Quan is a better business model, smaller menu and Banh Mi Que as the only food option.Based off reviews decided to get the Oolong Milk Tea, the CQ Coconut Coffee with Coffee Jelly and the Combination CQ Banh Mi Que. The Oolong MT was milky with that signature roasty and earthy oolong flavor. The sweetness was okay to me, but you may need to adjust if you're not a fan of sweet drinks. The Vietnamese Coffee was strong, with a good amount of jelly and topped with toasted coconut flakes. Is it my favorite Coconut Coffee drink? Not exactly, but it does the job! The Banh Mi Que was easy to eat, gone are the days of crumbs everywhere and tearing up the roof of your mouth. It may be small but they are generous with the pate and pork floss. Spectacular, give me 14 more.Price is super affordable. Two drinks and a banh mi came out to $15 for their special. Incredible considering most coffee or milk tea drinks average about $7 now. Drinks and food came out in a thermal take out bag, cute!Interior is black and white with a Parisian inspired wall art, The seats were actually super comfortable and the space was small, but doesn't feel stuffy. Would be a good place to chat with a small group of friends or alone to work. I don't recall if there are many outlets or Wi-Fi but did see a few people with laptops out working.Definitely will be back to take advantage of their deal and try their Pandan Coffee and Banh Mi!

This place is well lit and clean! I also love their mini baguettes!! So cute and yummy! We got the pork floss one. It's perfect if you just want a small banh mi. The mini sandwich was filled with a good amount of stuff in it; we got their special which included one mini baguette and 2 drinks. I absolutely loved my hot sea salt green tea especially during raining season like this one. Kevin got their CQ signature which looked like an egg coffee. I didn't get to try it myself but Kevin said it was really good and really strong. Mine was definitely strong and tasted great! I will definitely take my mom here to try their baguettes she looooooves banh mi's I can picture this place getting more popular in the future

Came here to try their baguette's and Vietnamese coffee and I'm sad to say that I did not enjoy either. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit too strong for my liking and took forever to melt with the large ice cubes and the sandwiches are just not what I'm used to where they are very skinny and too crunchy (I'm more of a fan of the softer baguette's). I ended up going next door to buy another banh mi because I didn't want another skinny one. I'm not sure if the skinny baguettes are from a different region or what but it was my first time having them with no veggies inside. ~~Parking: Located in the busy Tully Lion plaza is what I call it, but there's usually always parking depending on how far you're willing to walk and how patient you are to wait on drivers. ~~Service: Good. They made the sandwiches quickly, nothing much else to say. ~~Return: For me, a no.

I came to Cafes Quan on a Sunday afternoon for my book club meeting. There was tons of seating, which was much appreciated. The music here is a bit loud so it was a bit hard to talk at times. The drinks itself were great! I got the chrysanthemum herbal tea and it was very refreshing. They actually had a current deal where you could get 2 drinks and the banh mi for $15, which is actually a steal. Definitely recommend trying out this place.

The coffee here is STRONG! lolWe were looking for a spot to grab a quick snack in East SJ, and landed on Cafes Quan since their mini banh mi's looked cute and appetizing at the time. We ended up getting one each - note, the banh mi is 3 for $10!I got the pork floss and it was ADDICTING how good the pate was. The bread was fluffy and crisp on the outside, and the pork floss added the perfect level of savoriness.I also ended up ordering a pandan coffee, and the coffee definitely hit lol. I loved how strong the pandan flavor was too! Oftentimes, when I order drinks like these the flavor never really comes out. They were pretty generous with the pandan topping though, and when mixed together the drink tasted super good. They have a HUGE space with plenty of seating! Parking can be a little rough on busy weekends however

Decided to grab drinks here after our lunch with friends here and check out this newly opened business. The place has seatings inside and some outside but if you have a large group of 15 like us, expect to wait for other customers to leave to be able to get an area all together. We were dispersed initially until seatings opened up for us to make a space to be together eventually. The decor was cute and they were still setting up their Xmas decors so hopefully when it's done, there will be more photo ops for customers. We ordered 9 drinks and took advantage of two combo to get the free bag promotion. The combo deal comes with two drinks, a banh mi Que, and the free bag so it was a way to try the banh mi and have an extra bag. I tried the lotus tea and my husband tried the egg coffee. The lotus tea was strong for me to the point I couldn't sleep at night. My husband liked his egg coffee and my kids liked the banh mi Que. My only critique was that it took a while to get our drinks after ordering. And when we did, they forgot one drink. Once we brought to their attention, it took some time to get the forgotten drink too. But overall, it's a cute hangout place and I wouldn't mind coming back if in the area.
