I needed something quick and easy to eat on the go and decided to drop by to pick up a sandwich. I love that these are an option since not a lot of other places have these convenient options. I ordered the toasted signature pork sandwich and a honey green tea. The sandwich was packed, with 4 layers of toast and fillings! There was tomato, cucumber, ham, egg, and of course pork. The bread was perfectly toasted as well and held up well against the copious amount of fillings. I love how it was presented, with each bite having a bit of everything. The honey green tea paired perfectly with the sandwich and wasn't too sweet.Staff was super nice and helped us find our order upon arriving. The order was made very quickly as well. Even though we did an early takeout order, the place was already pretty full. I can see why it's a popular place!

* Taiwanese breakfast time!!! Tastes same as the Cafe Mei in Taiwan :)*All self-serve; Order at the kiosk, seat yourself, & wait until your number is called to take it to your table (or for to-go)Iced soy milk: perfect amount of sweetnessTraditional milk tea: good amount of tea vs milk for those who don't like thicker, milky milk teas Black pepper noodles: Tasty!! The noodles are very soft but not at all soggy Corn, tuna, bacon crepe: Comes w/sauce; I added it all onto the crepe and luckily it wasn't too overpowering in garlic and not too salty; The flavors blend in perfectly and tuna isn't fishy. Awesome breakfast item!!! Signature pork sandwich (toasted): Slight crunch on the outside, lots of good ingredients on the insidePork burger w/egg: Same as the signature sandwich mentioned above but in a burger form and without ham or cucumber

Whenever I hear something from Taiwan is opening in the Bay Area you bet I'm excited! I go back to Taiwan every year to visit my grandparents and Taiwanese sandwiches were a staple for me growing up. While it's unclear whether they're part of the Cafe Mei franchise in Taiwan, their sandwiches are still just as good as the ones in Taiwan. The bread is so soft and moist! I've tried the Taro Pork Sung Sandwich and the Togo House Special Sandwich. I love almost anything taro, and the fresh taro complements perfectly with the pork sung. I would also recommend not toasting the Togo House Special Sandwich so you can enjoy the soft bread!I'd recommend ordering ahead or coming early as they're pretty popular especially around mealtimes, and they close at 2 PM. I do wish they were open longer!

Chanced upon Cafe Mei while looking for breakfast places that opened prior to 9AM and am super glad that we gave it a try. We arrived on a Saturday morning a bit before 9AM. It wasn't busy at all so it was fairly easy to put in our order then take a seat. When your order is ready, they will call you up to the counter to get it. My friend and I decided to share:Taro/Pork Sung Sandwich - this was delicious. It was a great blend of savory with a hint of sweet. It was also a great blend of textures. Definitely recommend.Toasted Signature Pork Sandwich - this was like any other sandwich to be honest. There wasn't anything particularly special per say but it was solid. Radish Cake - comes with a garlic sauce. Solid, good texture, and good flavor. Soy Milk - you can adjust the sweetness for this but keep in mind that their sweetness levels are not the same as a boba shop. It is a lot less sweet than most places. I would recommend getting this at 100% sweet. Overall, I would definitely come back. Would recommend.

I absolutely love Cafe Mei! They're popular for their Taiwanese breakfast sandwiches that make for a quick grab and go breakfast or midday snack. They also have a decently sized seating area if you want to wind down and eat your food. Service is usually very quick as you order right when you enter, sit down, and wait for either your order to be called or a nice staff member will bring out your food. My go-to is always the Taro Pork Sung Sandwich ($8.75). You would never expect taro and pork sung to pair well together, but it's such a delicious combo in this sandwich! They also put just the right amount so no ingredient is overpowering the other. It's encapsulated in a white bread that's pillowy soft and melts in your mouth. It's so easy to devour this sandwich and it'll leave you satisfied! I only wish that the cafe was open longer since they're only open from 8am-2pm, but nevertheless super delicious!

I've been craving Taiwanese sandwiches since coming back from Taiwan and this place really hits the spot! We came in at 11am and ordered at the kiosk. Servers were super friendly and hospitable. It felt very homey. Sandwiches were exactly what I was craving. Can't wait to come back!

I heard from a lot of Taiwanese friends that this cafe is a must-try, so I decided to check it out! It's a small snack and sandwich spot that offers unique items like cheese corn crepes, turnip cakes, and classic drinks like iced black tea and iced coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, with a laid-back vibe that's perfect for a quick breakfast or snack. You place your order through a kiosk, which is super convenient. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly--definitely a plus if you're on the go.I tried their sandwich, and the soft, fluffy bread reminded me of Korean sandwich spots I love. It's a charming little place that's great for a light and satisfying breakfast or a casual snack stop.

Still great Taiwanese breakfast! We arrived for Sunday lunch and it was a little busy. Ordered online ahead for pick up.We like their signature pork sandwich (looks basic but flavors are amazing), egg crepes (the garlicky soy paste is so good with it), and black pepper noodles. Their pork floss taro sandwich is also yummy if you are into savory and sweet at the same time.Someone in my party accidentally dropped their sandwich on the ground and could only save half of it. Asked if we could have a new one and they said no. I understand since it was kind of our fault, but it would've been nice if they could actually just give us a new one lol.

If I could go here everyday for breakfast, I WOULD!!!!I've been using the online order and pick-up system here, and it's a game-changer. It's super convenient and fast, making it easy to grab a bite on a busy day. My go-to favorites are the Toasted Signature Sandwich and the Pork Sung Pancake. The sandwich is a flavor masterpiece with its three layers that perfectly complement each other. I love the lightly crispy outside of the sandwich bread, which is incredibly soft when you bite into it. The Pancake is OHHH SO GOOD!!! if you're into taiwanese pancake breakfast then you will love this! It's soft, comes with different fillings and the sauce is garlicky but so tasty. Highly recommend giving them a try!
