gets worst and worst everytime I go. this literally will be my last time going here. I asked for crispy bacon idky they sell uncooked bacon to people. it never fails! only reason I kept going back cause my stupid bf wants this shit he don't eat what I eat from here though my orders are always messed up when I order breakfast! potatoes never fully cooked bacon always raw!wta not talk about this toastit's soggy butter bread no crisp no toast no nothing just melted butter poured over bread! won't ever get money from me again idc who in my house wants that food it won't come from my pockets!

I'd been eyeing this place for awhile. Where I work aren't too many place within walking distance, or where you really don't want to walk but this place was .2 miles and didn't want to pay delivery charge. Also so had Grubhub credit of $10 on pick up.I think I was from the south in a previous life, cuz I love my grits and soul food related.Settled on the scrambled egg, chicken breast, shrimp and grits with came with toast. Apparently there are two locations. This one is strictly take out.There was ample about of food and for an Asian run place, the grits were on point. The chicken breast was ok, could have had little more seasoning. Eggs scrambled as asked.Shrimp not over cooked.Shall be returning to try their other items

Baby & me had a couple hours to kill before he had to go to work. So we stopped for a quick to go breakfast.. but didn't want anything fast. We always see this place, but its been closed. Driving by this morning, we seen it open and stopped.I ordered ground beef scramble.. ground beef, eggs, cheese, onion & bell pepper. Served with a side of toast (wheat or white) OR raisin, English muffin or sourdough for additional charge! Mine was super yummy. Looked a little plain when I opened it. But I added my lil hot sauce and soy sauce, salt and peppa. It was bomb! I will next time ask for green onions. That would've completed my dish. I didn't notice it didn't have when I was reading menu. Baby ordered the Aaron fried rice. Consisted of soy sauce, eggs, shrimp (3), ham, bacon, pork sausage & green onions. His was defined good, he loved it.. but with the amount of meats he had.. it was a little on the salty side for me.. Parking sucks, it's on street and not much, plus it's on a corner and the turn is tight so I'd watch parking there! There's no indoor or outdoor seating, you order at the window to take to-go. Food was ready in 10 minutes! I would recommend if you're in the area and hungry for some good breakfast.

I'm happy for one that they opened back up because I have been MISSSSSING my grits ! Two I'm happy it's the same staff and everything tastes the same !I was so worried to try them out because I wasn't sure if the same staff were working their ! Before the other main restaurant closed they only had this location open on the weekends . I never been because i never needed to up until the other closed .I called my order in for pick up , got there and it was ready pipping hot ! The lady even remember me based off my order ( cus I always order the same thing ) and we were both happy to see eachother !Food is exactly the same ! The only difference is now they accept cash and card ! Before it was just cash only !Happy to see this East Oakland gem back running again !

I Ave been going to Fongs since I lived at home and recently visited Oakland. My cousin told me he was going to get breakfast and brb. Well as soon as I took a bite I knew where he'd gone! Fongs breakfast sandwiches are still the best out there and the jelly on the bread, ready to go, is still a welcome treat. They haven't even switched up sausage Patties. In one bite I was a teen riding in my Dads van on the way to OHigh! Thank you for keeping it Fongs.

The food here is really good just the customer service needs some improvement. I was standing out side for 10mins and my food was ready because the lady is taking phone orders while customers are standing in front of the store.

I love this place. It helps that they know what I like ahead of time because I order for pick up a lot. They prepare my food perfectly. I like the shrimp and grits with some extra sides. I add my own salt, sugar and hot sauce and its heaven.

Portions down. Felt played. Been eating at fongs for about 11 years off and on. Hadn't been there in a couple of years. Ordered the kitchen sink with grits like always. Got home and was wondering where the rest of my breakfast was. 80% grits 20% kitchen sink!
