S F. "I like the atmosphere. However, we must have visited on an off day because our entire party left food on the table. We were one of four tables, so it wasn't busy. Onion rings were greasy. Sandwich was poorly made. Steak was grisly. Pizza arrived at the table with the cheese sliding off one edge. Mushroom burger had few mushrooms. Fries were unevenly salted- one side extra salty, other side unsalted. The curds were great and the only item completely eaten. But the portion seemed less than a full portion when compared with pictures from other yelpers."

Denise D. "Have you ever been in a space where you are looking for something, but you can't quite put your finger on it? I came here on a random Thursday evening when San Jose Block Party was taking place. A friend told me he was going to have a pop up show, and remembering this was a place that always seemed to have great beers on tap, I threw on my Moms That Beer shirt, mustered up some energy for positivity, and arrived to Good Karma around 7:15 pm. I was immediately indecisive when I saw the beers on tap. Too many good choices, and the the first beer you pick to drink will generally set the feel of my drinking pace. Who was I tonight: Was I feeling like something outside of my comfort zone, or an agreeable hazy? Seeing the sour selection and hearing the beer tender talk to the customers in front of me, I decided to start with a Blueberry sour. And it did not disappoint. The Lysn Band started warming up, and it was to my dismay that outside seating was pretty full. But, what I did not expect was the warmth of the welcoming I received from 3 friends eating dinner and drinking beer who allowed me to join in their table, but also conversation. And just like that, I had 3 new friends, and soon a 4th, and I quickly realized, Good Karma is not just a restaurant. Good Karma is a living community of energy. Bob, the owner, cultivates a friendly staff, from the chef to the beer tender, and it attracts the type of people you want to get to know over a new beer. So, I came out that night without knowing what I wanted in that moment. What I found: great beers, yummy food, and community. But, one thing that always makes me happy: live music. So if your routine could benefit from more music, every Sunday at 7 pm, catch a live jazz session with the Sunday Messengers Quartet until 9 pm. A weekly dose of Jazz always does a body good."

Bup N. "Hands down, the best Michelin restaurant in the peninsula. We had a reservation for a Sunday night, at 5pm. We were probably the third party to be seated so not bad. It quickly filled up throughout the night, but it wasn't overly packed. I really liked our table, as we sat right in front of the mini kitchen window, w/ a glimpse of one of the chefs grilling the meat every now and then. Service was phenomenal: so many good things to say about our waitress. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, patience, respectful - the list can go on and on. Food is exceptional: from appetizer, to entrees, to dessert. Everything was on point. The only thing I would request next time is a little less salt on our food. They went a little extra on our appetizer/entrees so I was extremely thirsty with every bite I took. Nonetheless, the presentation and the actual dish were spectacular. My absolute favorite was the duck breast. I highly, highly recommend that you don't skip out on it. The sear on it was exactly to perfection and the crust. Oh my. You would have to try it to know exactly what I'm talking about. As for the dessert: I was excited to try a chocolate soufflé; however, 1/2 way through I realize that if you're not that much of a fan on chocolate, as much as it sounds appetizing, it's heavy. No way I could've finished it even if I wanted to. There are a couple of other options so we will try out the others next time we're back. Their menu changes but duck will always be on their menu, just w/ minor slight changes. After a weekend in Carmel, I am so glad we ended the night here."

We ordered the cheesesteak, cheeseburger, the ribeye, rosemary garlic chicken, and mac n cheese, mushroom pasta and then a shrimp pasta dish. We made it kind of family style to try everything, and each dish was amazing. I was raving about it to my bf and daughter and I told them they had to try it. Needless to say, I'll be back. The service was great, and we were checked on a lot through our meal. It gets super loud inside, but it's a good place to get together with people."

"They are not your average British Pub and there is nothing wrong with that!O R D E R E D- Fish and Chips- Sausage Rolls- Fried Artichoke- Shepherd's Pie- Mushroom Chicken- Potato SkinsV E R D I C TTheir service is great and their team is so friendly and gave great recommendations on food and drinks. They have such a huge drink selection in by drinks. I'm talking about your mock tails, cocktails, and beers. Their cocktails are so creative and for anyone who just wants to have a good time without a little bit of booze you are in the right spot and for those who do want a bit of booziness to their drink, definitely ask your server or bartender what the monthly cocktail specials are because they change those every month to keep you on your toes! They have some drinks that are more on the fruity side. They also have some that are more on the floral side. You just gotta be specific on what you like and want.Food did not disappoint and to be honest, I didn't know bar / pub food could taste so good, like full restaurant quality. Hot plate, fresh ingredients and oh so tasty! I will tell you this right now that their fish and chips is award-winning because of their secret ingredient which I won't expose, but it is hands-down, the best! My second favorite item is a tough one because it's actually between their shepherds pie and their appetizer sausage rolls, which is like their version of pigs in a blanket. They use a style sausage and if you've never tried it, you have to! Again, you will not be disappointed here in any department whether is drink food or entertainment. Did I mention that their outdoor patio also has TV screens available to watch any sports game of your choice? Well, I just did so don't miss out on having happy hours, birthday celebrations, or any group gatherings here because you will have an awesome time!"

James P. "My wife and I love goto the pruneyard for date nights as they have some of the coolest restaurants (Luna, Orchard City Kitchen, ect.) Whenever we goto Luna - there's generally a 20-30+ wait when we arrive so we usually make our way next door to Out of the Barrel for a drink. This place is a small but super cool taproom. There's limited seating inside but the outdoors have plenty of bench and table seating. It's a very friendly and informal environment which makes it very approachable and enjoyable when hanging with great company over a craft beer. Every time I've visited, the bartenders have good and positive energy and will seek you out even through a busy crowd. I used to be an avid beer drinker - primarily IPA's but I have transitioned mainly to wine and whiskey over the last few years. This place sources from independent craft breweries so you'll find some hidden gems that you won't find at your local grocery store. For the wine lovers - while there is a limited selection, I'm just happy that they offer an option for us. They essentially offer one of each type of wine (Pinot noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, ect.) We ordered a bottle of red wine - Cabernet Sauvignon. It was fairly priced and delivered for its priced point. I will point out that red wine typically needs to be stored around 55-65 Fahrenheit. When we got the bottle, the temp felt like it was stored with the beers, just something to note for ownership.Overall, always have a great time here. Perfect place to enjoy company over some drinks and even catch a sports game. They also have craft beer you can purchase to go. Come check this place out!"

Steve D. "Okay, it's April 1st, 2022, April Fools Day! DoorDash sends me this offer of "40%-off or $9.00 off" any pizza from Lanesplitter Pizza in Emeryville. What? Is this some kind of joke? Hey, I'm taking this deal. But wait, what's up with all these mixed Yelp reviews? Yikes.....oh well, time to earn that Maverick Badge. Ok, so I ordered a 15" Medium Neapolitan Pepperoni Pizza. It arrives in a plain brown box. No coupons, no thank you card. Nothing to try and get repeat business. Also, no free Parmesan cheese or Pepper packets. So it's like a generic pizza. This is not a good sign. So, this is supposed to be an East Coast style pizza. What's that mean?-large slices-thin, crispy crust, sometimes charred-traditional and classic style pizza-made with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and meat/veggie toppingsYes, that's what I received, an East Coast pizza. Big, thin, foldable slices. I warmed up my pizza in the oven for 6-mins @ 400*F. It came out hot, with beautiful colors and good taste. A little on the oily side. I like my pizza with more cheese. When you're hungry, any pizza is good pizza. This pizza was okay, so 3-stars."

Our host/waiter was a very friendly guy who greeted us and we waited a few minutes to be seated at our table. The place was very busy and a bit noisy but that's what to expect since this pub was filled with families and friends who were there to get their "Grub-On"!!! By the looks of things at other tables there were quite a few dishes that looked really good and delicious...this being my first time there my friend and I ordered their Wonton Soup (we ordered extra Wonton), an order of Garlic Noodles, Spicy/Sweet Korean Style Chicken Wings, Mango Lemonade and their Lychee Lemonade. Everything that we ordered was delicious especially the Korean Style Chicken Wings...they were Tangy and Sweet just the way we like them."

I hadn't eaten dinner so using the QR code on the table, you can order drinks and meal and/or appetizers and pay on your phone, very convenient! They have a huge menu! We had a Diamond Dealer moscow mule, beer, cheese croquettes, fried brussel sprouts, a basket of french fries and a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw. Cute decor, super welcoming staff, and an easy tablet ordering system. We kicked things off with their ice cream soju drinks, which seemed light and cute... until they hit us with a sneaky punch. Food-wise, we skipped the rice bowls (gotta keep the figures in check) and went for a mix of their pan dishes. The CC Pan Dish (Cocaine Chicken) + corn cheese was an elite combo: sweet, flavorful, and comforting. The pork pan dish with macaroni salad was just as delicious, and the Pig Ponzu Salad? Easily my favorite. If you love ponzu, you need to try it! The seafood pancake was crispy and tasty, but I wish it came with more dipping sauce. Also tried their skewers, which were fun to share, but honestly, a bit too much work for me. Huge shoutout to the store manager who checked in on us and convinced us to try the $5 hot sake deal. Love this little spot to drop in and grab an ice cold beer, especially in the warmer months... and these pretzels are one of a kind with a honey butter sauce and a beer sauce that are ridiculously delicious. You almost have to get two pretzels one for each of the sauces so you can enjoy both the gluttony is real and yes, they are THAT good.I've legit gone out of my way just to come here and buy six pretzels to share with friends. The seating is grown since the last time I was here inside outside deck, shaded, and Non with a bowl or two spread around for the four-legged friends. Of course, do not bring your four good friends if they are not already trained as there's not a lot of maneuverability when this place is crowded because it's soooo good, it often is.The selection changes and so do some of the staff. This round we didn't have the friendliest server when they brought our food out. Not sure what that was about because we didn't even interact with them previously. However, the person that took our order was incredibly friendly, very helpful and quite knowledgeable about the offerings. His choices were pristine!Great place to visit connect with friends and just hang out in the open air and great weather."

Yvonne L. "Sadly, this place is no longer in a good location. When it opened, Hewlett-Packard was across the street, and many of its employees would come there after work. Now that Apple is there, workers leave on the buses right away, or they eat at one of Apple's many cafeterias. In addition, the shopping centre next-door was much much smaller, and wasn't ethnically focused. Because of the Asian mall, it's easy to overlook this place. Consequently, this places very often nearly empty.Despite no longer being the place for after work drinks or watching English football with rowdy fans, it's still nice. I think the food has improved, and the drink selection is as large as it has always been. The staff is very responsive to guests and even to suggestions for the menu. If you have a large group, you will easily be accommodated either in the back room or in the back half of the main room. There are also nice places for two or four diners along the side."
