"Possibly one of the best cakes I have EVER had - and thus now one of my two go-tos when it comes to all of my cake catering needs.Randomly nestled in a boba place in a shopping plaza, most people honestly wouldn't know they even sell cakes unless you find them online, which is also the easiest way to make orders. It's pretty simple - you make an online order and come in to pick up the cake.Asking about stuff like ambience is pretty much irrelevant since almost nobody orders large cakes and eats them on the spot (honestly very based move to do so), but I would say that the service is fantastic. They do try to be very speedy and the one time I ordered my cake for a party two days later, they actually gave remarkably detailed instructions/hints on how to keep the cake fresher for longer (because they make each day to order fresh!).Finally, the cake itself is very good. Pretty much every flavor I've tried (winter bunny, oreo cake, and hojicha) has been super creamy and not overpoweringly sweet (like most commercial cakes are). This is pretty much one of the best cakes you can ever get for someone who goes "oh, nice, not too sweet." It also allows the flavor of whatever flavor you select to be pretty prominent. For example, the hojicha flavor had one of the most potent hojichas I've ever tasted.Also, the boxing is pretty nice.Fantastic place and would recommend for anyone looking for a cake to wow someone with."

The filling could have been even more Nectarine forward, but still very good.(3.0/5) Croissant Pudding (Saturday/Sunday only): A standard bread pudding-type dessert made with croissants instead of bread. This added even more buttery richness, but looses the croissants' signature layering and textures. It's definitely tasty, but not mind-blowing. (2.0/5) Dark Chocolate Croissant: SKIP. Worse than a standard croissant. It had great layering/lamination. Well baked, with a great dark chocolate color. But the flavor didn't come through. Not enough sweetness to counter the dark chocolate's bitterness. The bites with actual chocolate chunks were pretty good. Though, a standard croissant would have been a better play.Other: - Best to order online beforehand. Pickup time doesn't matter. "Updated review: Wingen Bakery is consistently one of my favorite spots in Livermore. The service is always so warm and kind. The environment is family friendly with a kids menu and a play kitchen. This makes it a popular spot for parents so they can bring their kids and socialize at the same time. There's also a free music and storytime event hosted by a local mom usually a couple times a month on Thursdays.We love Friday night pizza night. We've only ordered takeout so far but I'm looking forward to going in person one day. I appreciate the seasonal menu. The potato pizza is a favorite. We've also been to some of their special events and collaborations with other businesses (like for Oktoberfest) and always love the food. Just plan ahead, there will be a line but it's worth it. This business is on the Livermore Pride Passport, proudly supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. I'm so happy to know my money is going to a business that shares my values while I get the opportunity to try innovative and delicious menu items. Sister loves her pandan desserts and asked me to pick up items with pandan ("Asian-vanilla") usually accompanied by coconut milk: :: Pandan Macadamia Cookie - these were okay and not much to rave about as far as flavor but it was a nice soft, chewy cookie with taste of macadamia :: Bánh Bò Nướng (honeycomb cake) - chewy, airy from the use of tapioca flour...if you like mochi you'll love this cake. Sadly, it wasn't for me...its a texture thing and to me, didn't have much flavor :: Kaya and Durian Egg Tart - family enjoyed these brightly-colored tarts. Crust nice and flaky. Wish I had purchased a simple Portuguese tart to try. Overall, i wasn't a fan but sister was happy with her #1 request of the honeycomb cake with the bouncy texture and pandan flavors. Other family members enjoyed but I felt like my 7- year old niece "I just taste GREEN"....EXACTLY! Also picked up orders for a friend and she thought items were 'ok'. The owner who handed me my order was very friendly and nice. After ordering about $150 worth of items, I forgot to add a pandan waffle to eat for the ride home... I asked if it was okay to order ONE item....the young worker said I would have to move over to the ORDERING line (10 people) and wait. SMH. It wasn't like I was ordering 10 more items.....almost had a New Jersey Housewife moment and flip the table....okay, only in my head! Place is set up for pickup/ordering at the door vs perusing in the bakery. Best to order online and pickup to minimize the wait. Saturday pickup was fine as i have good parking karma and scored a spot in front but it's a bit chaotic exiting (101, Story Road) the freeway (11:30 am) with parking being a challenge and a bit frenetic."

The whole croissant is covered with dark chocolate and it is divine to eat. Not too sweet, super light and just so perfect with a cup of warm matcha latte. The hubby got the Kouign Amann and he loved it too. I've had a slice of their Japanese Strawberry Shortcake in the past and it is excellent too. The store is cramped inside. All the seating is outdoors. Their staff is always friendly and they don't rush you when you're trying to choose from their plethora of baked goods. My sister lives nearby, so we come here every few months or so."

The very first thing that caught my eye was the bold logos and set up. Secondly you are immediately welcomed by the most friendly upbeat staff and although this isn't necessarily a priority....because hello it's CHEESECAKE it is above average niceness and just draws you in even more. Staring at the display case of delicious cakes and their offerings of sweet pastries, we saw that they offered halo-halo.Since it was very warm day, we opted to get halo-halos. After ordering, it was ready very quickly. The bottom of the cup had fruits, beans and milk with a large amount of shaved ice in the middle and topped with a piece if flan and a whipped mango topping. I stirred it up with my straw and gave it taste. From halo halos, I've tried, this one was short of some ingredients, ube - purple yam and langka - jackfruit. Also, instead of this whipped mango cream-like topping, I've had it with a scoop of ice cream, usually ube, on top. So this halo halo did not wow me and was not comparable to memorable ones that I've tried. Maybe next time, I try one of the delicious looking cakes."
