"My SO wanted to stop by this quaint bakery to get me a birthday cake. He got the mango mousse cake and it is so beautiful, I loved the way they decorated the cake and it was so soft, fluffy and not sweet--which is my ideal taste for desserts. I ate practically a 1/3rd of the cake haha. Some friends also got some cookies and those were tasty as well. They had nice textures and consistencies and were lightly flavored since I am someone that typically avoids cookies."
"I have ordered cakes from here a couple of times! Recently ordered the mango cake and it was delicious. Absolutely soft and moist and not too sweet."
"This is such a cute little bakery with the nicest women running the shop! went gluten free a few months ago and I've been struggling to find gluten free dessert options that actually taste good. This bakery has some great gluten free options! I've tried their macarons on a previous visit, but that first time I came they were sold out of the other gluten free pastries because they were sold popular. This time I was able to snag one of the lemon merengue tarts and a red berry marscapone cake. I'm saving the red berry cake to eat for Valentine's Day tomorrow, but I couldn't wait to dig into the lemon meringue tart. It's sweet, tangy, and the fluffy meringue balances it all out very well. I will definitely be back"
"Wow! Such a great spot.I brought my partner here for a treat on his 30th birthday and we were both blown away. For starters, It's beautiful inside. But most importantly the cakes were heavenly. The tea service was complimentary which was icing on the cake (pun very much intended). We will absolutely be back and telling our friends."
"Although the slice of cake is little and wasn't that tasty, but it was good and the raspberry on top looked to be a few days old. I think the slice of cake is overpriced. They should make the slice bigger at least. However, the other two with the bacon and the coconut in the center was delicious fresh and worth the price. I go to 85° at least a couple times a week and they have very good pastries. It's just the slice of cake let me down."
"3.5 STARSFriend: "What's that?"Me: "A 2D croissant."Friend: "Looks like someone sat on it. Hope they didn't fart on it."Me: *SNIFF TEST*Spending hours painstakingly creating beautifully laminated layers only to *SMASH* it seems sacrilegious to a French croissant. But, this became a viral trend in Korea last year which has now come to The Bay. Introducing the 2D Korean-inspired: Croissant Nurungi aka Flat Croissant....They're available at Alexander's Pâtisserie (Cupertino & Mountain View). 4 flavors: Plain, strawberry, mango, and chocolate ($6-$6.50 each). * Plain ($6) // 3 stars * Strawberry ($6.50) // 4 stars : http://tinyurl.com/mr28h3n3Gimmicky? Fo'Sho...imo. Low key reminds me of palmiers (cookies), the 2D croissants were crunchy and flaky with a buttery, slightly caramelized sweetness. Not as sugary as palmiers. After several bites, the plain one became monotonous. The strawberry chocolate + dehydrated strawberries was much better. The creamy pleasant tartness perfectly complemented the butteriness.Pairs well with tea + coffee. Overall, the 2D croissants were fine and I may get one again when I'm craving a bougie palmier but def seems like another social media novelty trend. Gotta try things for yourself tho. Rounding down because of my other experiences at this pâtisserie. I'm a fan of their steakhouse but I find their desserts look better than they taste (for my taste preferences). Also, on one visit, the macarons and truffles I purchased were stale.OTHER NOTES:* Hidden behind Pacific Catch's storefront.* Much smaller than their MV location with a limited selection. * Hot tea + coffee available. No matcha tho which is disappointing considering their brand has Japanese influences. * Tock: Cake Pre-Orders + Afternoon Tea Rezzies * Afternoon Tea ($65 pp) in partnership with Claude Le Tohic and SF's ONE65 is available on the patio. Includes fresh seasonal assortment of pastries, macarons, sandwiches, chocolates, tea, and coffee.* Outdoor patio seating only (dog-friendly)."

When you first enter, there's the beautiful display case of cakes -- look to your left for hidden gems: cookies. We enjoyed the mango cake and napoleon, but instead of celebration treats, I want to highlight the cookies that pair perfectly with cozy tea on a cold morning. As a reference, if cakes are 100% sweetness level, these cookies are 15-25% sweet.Ali was friendly and considerate in selecting and recommending a variety of cookies. His service is the best I've ever received at a bakery :)My favorites were the apricot and raspberry butter cookies that have wonderful airy crumb, the delicately thin raisin cookie, the unique textured almond cookie, and the sugar twist cookie (didn't note the exact name).

Amazing place. Owner is super responsive and accommodating. Been buying vegan cakes annually (not at Mr. cake) for a birthday for a dairy intolerant family member. Issue is that it's virtually impossible to find a dairy free dessert without it also being vegan and/or gluten free. Mr. Cake said he could make a dairy free cake but also use eggs in the cake mix. Ordered the mango cake and he made it just dairy free. Wow. What a difference! Amazing taste. Great texture. Everyone loved it. Going to come here from now on!!!Thank you, Mr. Cake!

The flavors are all incredibly interesting. The crepe cake slices and boxed cakes flavors seem to rotate daily due to limited case space but can just be ordered walking in, while the small round cakes can only be pre-ordered, I think. It looks like the earliest pick up time you can choose on the website is 4 PM (though you can request a specific time separately after placing the order) and when I asked in person, the employee told me they can probably do 1-2 pm at the earliest since they make it fresh that day.The sea salt cheese molten cake is pretty salty (way more than a cheesecake, but not like an aged cheddar or anything) and pretty much collapses upon being cut into. I'm not sure I like this one that much but it was still tasty. The salted yolk and pork sung crepe cake is a must try even if you grew up eating pork floss buns imo. The salty and sweet tastes with the creamy but also rough "floss" texture go really well together.I had to run errands for an hour the day I bought the tiramisu and creme brulee crepe cake slices and noticed the creme brulee seemed to have melted a bit while the tiramisu held its shape, but from other pictures on here I guess it's supposed to look that way. The texture of the creme brulee was quite a bit softer than the tiramisu one though.

They make fresh pastries and breads that are baked every hour and they also have cream cakes and handcrafted coffee and tea drinks, blended drinks and milk teas. Having been to five locations in the Bay Area and two in Las Vegas, somehow I haven't been to the location closest to me in San Leandro Plaza, until recently. This location is smaller than the locations that I've visited. The selection is not as extensive and some of my favorites were not made here. I asked the clerk about the taro puff pastry, ube bread, and custard milk bun and he said they don't have those here. So I got some of my other favorites, marble taro and mochi custard tarts. Checking my 85°C app, they had some 50% off offers, so I decided to also get the cinnamon roll.Good to have 85°C within a short drive away. Hope they will expand their offerings and include more of the 85°C varieties. 3.5 stars.

A flat croissant place in the Bay Area? Never would I have thought that that would be a thing. After seeing this place on social media, I just knew I needed to give this place a shot. Aesthetically, they're beautiful for flat pieces of croissant bread. It's like super crispy, flaky, and it literally tastes like a crunchy croissant. With the addition of the fruity flavors and chocolate flavor, the croissants literally taste like a pocky stick which I actually thought was delightfully good and whimsical. The mango and strawberry croissants ones were definitely some of my favorites. The fruitiness definitely cuts into the butteriness of the croissant, and it was slightly tart which I also liked! The chocolate hazelnut and matcha croissant were alright. But that's just me being biased. As much as I thought that this was a cool experience, it's also pretty gimmicky as well. I would definitely choose a regular croissant over this any day. But at the end of the day, if you wanna try a unique croissant place, Alexander's Patisserie should definitely be added to your list.

I was in the area and wanted to get some baked goods. It was also the Tet festival so it was a little hectic. I tried their coffee danish and I recommend it as well as a raspberry almond croissant and chocolate chiffon cake. All pastries were perfect in sweetness and not too sweet. Size and price was reasonable. The cake was $9/slice which seems a little high. Overall quick and easy bakery with outdoor and indoor seating. They also offer cookies, bread, and other baked goods.

They have delicious sliced cake...Mango Supreme, Black Forest and Ube Overload just to name a few. I didn't get any of those during this visit.I've been craving Halo Halo, so I decided to get one. Loved it! Great price for a sweet shaved ice treat with mango topping, swwetened beans and lychee. My order was ready pretty quickly and the staff was friendly. At the last minute I grabbed an Ube Mamon (about $2.50), which is chiffon with ube with a strong kick of coconut at the end of each bite. Here's What I Think... This is a wonderful place to grab a quick snack. Check it out.

"Excellent. It is a great palate experience. Wonderful Pinoy menu. Delivery was on the dot. Superb customer service."
"What a cute and beautiful shop! I love the enticing food/dessert displays and the nature-inspired interior. The manager is friendly and professional, and helped me figure out which flavors of Jar Cake to get - we prefer less sweet, so I got the Tiramisu and Ruby Chocolate. Both were delicious! I'm looking forward to trying the Pistachio next time. I often look for good food/dessert to bring as gifts, and their cute cardboard box that fits 2 jars will be perfect for my future lucky recipient. (I opted for a bag for my own purchase today.)I came by on a weekday after lunch, so I didn't get to try the savory food but they all looked delectable! The variety rotates. The packaging is neat, and Best Buy dates are clearly marked. There's plenty of street parking near and around California Ave. I will definitely return when I need goodies to-go!"
"After lunch at Grill City, we were in the mood for dessert and we headed for Red Ribbon, which is in front of the building next to Jollibee. Staring at the display case of delicious cakes and their offerings of sweet pastries, we saw that they offered halo-halo.Since it was very warm day, we opted to get halo-halos. After ordering, it was ready very quickly. The bottom of the cup had fruits, beans and milk with a large amount of shaved ice in the middle and topped with a piece if flan and a whipped mango topping. I stirred it up with my straw and gave it taste. From halo halos, I've tried, this one was short of some ingredients, ube - purple yam and langka - jackfruit. Also, instead of this whipped mango cream-like topping, I've had it with a scoop of ice cream, usually ube, on top. So this halo halo did not wow me and was not comparable to memorable ones that I've tried. Maybe next time, I try one of the delicious looking cakes."
"Beautiful variety of classic and Mediterranean style desserts. The lady who helps me is always smiling and friendly. You can walk right over to the counter and she will notice and come help you out. My boy loves the Turkish Delight and cheesecakes. I love the moist rainbow cake and the rich chocolate cake. I've not been disappointed. Every once in a while the chef/owner of the restaurant comes over just to let me know she appreciates my business. I like that I can stop by and pick up a nice locally made fresh treat to spoil myself and my family."
"I'm definitely the unpopular opinion when it comes to CA Bakehouse. Maybe Asian desserts aren't my fave but items ordered were decent. Sister loves her pandan desserts and asked me to pick up items with pandan ("Asian-vanilla") usually accompanied by coconut milk: :: Pandan Macadamia Cookie - these were okay and not much to rave about as far as flavor but it was a nice soft, chewy cookie with taste of macadamia :: Bánh Bò Nướng (honeycomb cake) - chewy, airy from the use of tapioca flour...if you like mochi you'll love this cake. Sadly, it wasn't for me...its a texture thing and to me, didn't have much flavor :: Kaya and Durian Egg Tart - family enjoyed these brightly-colored tarts. Crust nice and flaky. Wish I had purchased a simple Portuguese tart to try. Overall, i wasn't a fan but sister was happy with her #1 request of the honeycomb cake with the bouncy texture and pandan flavors. Other family members enjoyed but I felt like my 7- year old niece "I just taste GREEN"....EXACTLY! Also picked up orders for a friend and she thought items were 'ok'. The owner who handed me my order was very friendly and nice. After ordering about $150 worth of items, I forgot to add a pandan waffle to eat for the ride home... I asked if it was okay to order ONE item....the young worker said I would have to move over to the ORDERING line (10 people) and wait. SMH. It wasn't like I was ordering 10 more items.....almost had a New Jersey Housewife moment and flip the table....okay, only in my head! Place is set up for pickup/ordering at the door vs perusing in the bakery. Best to order online and pickup to minimize the wait. Saturday pickup was fine as i have good parking karma and scored a spot in front but it's a bit chaotic exiting (101, Story Road) the freeway (11:30 am) with parking being a challenge and a bit frenetic."
