"We had such a nice and delicious time here! The atmosphere is welcoming, service is friendly and attentive, and the food rocks. The cauliflower appetizer is a must if you enjoy cauliflower. Maybe even if you think you don't care about cauliflower. My husband loved the lamb skewer. Everything we tasted was delicious, tbh. Try it!! This place is an asset to the neighborhood and your palate."
"Food is authentic. But a bit in the salty side. Tell them to keep it on lower side. It's a hole in the wall really and will take time to improve to a level where it's for even. I came here second time. So worth a try."

"The dumplings and the beef pancakes are my favorite. My first go to place when I am just lazy and don't want to cook!"
"Decided to try out a new Indian restaurant apart from a few of our usuals just to give it a go.We ordered lamb biryani, lamb saag, and butter chicken plus two orders of basmati rice.First of all, they are GENEROUS in their serving portion. It's so much food that for two adults, we are having them for 2 whole meals. So definitely it's value for the money spent. However, why the 3-star rating? Both the lamb saag and the butter chicken taste very sweet. It's sweeter than what we are used to with Indian food and so it just didn't taste right for us. Both of the entrees had a good amount of spice flavor still, but just too sweet for our palate. It would have been great is they say half the sugar/sweetness amount. Not sure if this was a fluke where someone made a mistake, but definitely not something we would have unless the owner or someone can assure us this was a day where sugar was used instead of salt? The lamb biryani rice was good, however. A little on the spicier side, but when you eat it together with the yogurt side, it is SO good! So this saved our meal for us where we'll have some curry and then some biryani rice to remove that sweet taste."
"Vegan Mushroom and Cauliflower Peas Curry & Vegan Momo Super flavorful! The warmth from the spices is what gets you full without being over-the-top full!"
"Delicious did, beautifully decorated, and amazing service. Great with kids and fair prices for such a nice restaurant."
"Wow. Flavor bombs, brilliant spice levels and great size per cost!! What else do you need. The Bay Area is no slob when it comes to ethnic food, but there aren't a lot of Himalayan food options. A wonderful fusion of South and East Asian flavors (think Indian food meets low mein) I had a bit of it on the East Coast but was happy to see Everest in a small shopping center near my home. Ordered a smattering of their very large (and Veg friendly) menu to go. The City chicken was slamming and the chicken was not dried out. The tandori momos were very unique and packed with flavor while the classic momos were clean, straightforward and delicious. The goat Biryani was packed with flavors and chunks of meat. The final bill was the best bang for the buck I've had in San Jose in a while. Differently on my rotation when I'm home!!"
"I had a delicious burrito roll (chicken naan wrap), which was super flavorful, and the portion was huge. Nepalese spices are kind of similar to Indian, but with a bit more of a tangy kick. My wife got the tandoori chicken momos, which were also great -- like Chinese xiao long bao, but roasted in a fire oven, giving the skin a nice char. (BTW, the order comes with 8 momos -- my pic shows only 4 because we had already gobbled down a few.) Service was very friendly, although the food took a little while to prepare (and we were one of only two parties there at the time) -- at least we know the food was made to order! The restaurant decor is modern and completely refurbished from the previous establishment. We will definitely come here again -- I sure hope it sticks around, considering the frequent turnover in the adjacent food court!"
"I was excited to see some variety in Newark and really wanted to like this place, but everything we ordered was average and I can't say I'd order again. We tried the chicken momos, mount everest chicken curry, egg noodle bowl, and veggie fried rice bowl. I'd say it represented a good vairety of items across the menu, but none really pleased.I was especially looking forward to the momos, but the dumpling skin was so thick it was almost doughy, and they were so packed with filling, which made them super heavy vs an appetizer. The chicken curry had potential, but the chicken itself was overcooked and very dried out. I barely ate it. The curry - not so bad. The noodle and rice bowls were stark opposites. The noodle bowl was flaming with spice - so much so that the heat was taking away from the flavors. In contrast, the rice was colorful and looked great, but had very little flavor.Overall, portion sizes were large, so that was a plus, but the food was just meh and a departure from other Himalayan flld we've tried. Good to try once, but I think that's pretty much it for us."
"The food truck located at 1593 Monterey Road didn't have a separate page on Yelp for it so I am guessing this is it...or I am just making this one it. We ordered from this food truck via DoorDash and it was soooo good. I have never had a Momo before and never had Nepalese food. I loved it.First, the food arrived piping hot. They line the boxes with tin foil so it keeps everything nice and hot. Despite being boxed up like that the Momo's didn't stick together and kept their shape really well.Second, the price for the amount of food you get is great. $9.39 for 10 Veggie Momo's and $10.39 for 10 Chicken Momo's. That right there was more than enough to feed two people. But we wanted to try other items and have leftovers, which we did. We also tried the Chili Chicken, the Egg Fried Rice, and the Veggie Chow Mein. We got four meals out of it and over ate on at least one of them. Third, the flavors were amazing. The Momo's (if you have never had them) are like a Gyoza (potsticker) but better in my opinion. You get that perfect chewy outside of the dumpling like a Gyoza but then the insides of the Momo's have an Indian flair. They are savory and full of flavor. They were great plain or dipped in one of the two sauces they give you. They are even good cold. The sauces are so yummy. I don't know what they are called but the red one was my favorite. It's tangy and spicy and flavorful. What I liked about the other dishes is that they were savory rather than the sweet flavors you get in Chinese food. That sweetness gets overwhelming for me after a while but with their savory flavors I didn't get that same feeling I do with Chinese food. Everything also tasted really fresh. We loved it so much that we ordered it a second time that week. But we ordered it from their Winchester truck since we were nearby and could pick it up. While that one was really yummy it wasn't quite as good as this one. But we will be revisiting both for sure. Definitely try them out. You will not be disappointed."
"First time order snd and only got naan and channa massala but it was delicious . Honestly, it was the best channa massala I've had and that's one of my favorite dishes. Be aware this isn't a stand alone restaurant; it's part of East Bay Eats. I would definitely return to try more of their food.P.S. medium is pretty spicy"
"Butter chicken is amazing! Naan is amazingThe pakoras were extremely salty and difficult to eat.The garlic naan was very niceThe lamb roganjosh was very oily and would not recommend. The momos were spicy and yummy! Would recommend the raita if you can't handle spiceThe okra was amazingThe tadka Dahl was amazingWould recommend rice"

The prawn tikki masala and garlic naan are my go to comfort food. The rich, flavorful masala brings together a perfect blend of spices, with the tender and juicy prawns being cooked just right. It's simply the perfect combination! The staffs were very attentive and welcoming. Everything was served with a smile. I just love this restaurant :)

I ordered some food from here on Uber Eats last night. I called ahead to clarify which dishes could be made vegan and I really appreciated how quickly the person was able to provide the options. I ordered the vegetable curry, chana masala, aloo saag, and veggie pakora. I find that vegetable curry is generally mild and not-too-exciting no matter what restaurant I go to. I usually just order it for variety. This place was no different, decent flavor but not mine-blowing. The saag was mild but flavorful and prepared to my preference, more creamed than chopped. The chana masala was not favorite. Rich, hearty, and flavorful. No real complaints with any of the main dishes. The pakora is the only thing that needed major improvement in my opinion. It was more flavorful than other restaurants but seemed like the oil wasn't hot enough so they came super oily. I still ate them though * I very much appreciate that rice comes with entrees! It's a pet-peeve of mine when restaurants charge you for rice. So although the portions are same as pretty much all Indian restaurants around here, prices and value are better.

That lunchtime conundrum: where to buy lunch that we haven't already eaten SO many times...? Checked what's local on Yelp & Momo's caught my eye.Easy to order online, easy to find parking, service was super duper friendly & of course most importantly, food was delicious. We also had enough leftover to enjoy dinner as well. Both veggie & chicken Momo's were delicious, nicely seasoned- 2 ample containers of sauce included. Quinoa and tofu salad was something I ordered purely tryna be healthy- but it was fresh & tasty we definitely will order again. Also got chicken noodle dish- mild box we're wimpy- great seasonings & chunks of chicken & veg. Didn't get pics of everything coz we were scarfing it down & also doesn't look so pretty in take out containers. Satisfied! We'll b back.

The first time I had food from here was from take-out brought by my boyfriend. We both enjoyed it a lot and decided to go back to dine in a month later. I went to the restaurant on Saturday evening for dinner and surprisingly, my party was the only one there. It took about an hour or so for more people to trickle in. According to my boyfriend, the restaurant was much busier when he went on a weekday for the take-out. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and feels elevated. I think the background music was at a nice level where it was not too loud. Service was also quick and efficient. The servers were dressed nicely in uniform and attentive to detail. They were a little soft-spoken but still efficient. As for the food, I really liked it! As always, you cannot go wrong with garlic naan so we got that. We also got dum biryani and the portion was huge. It can definitely be split between two people. We also ordered the chicken coconut curry, which was my favorite, the lamb korma, and eggplant curry. I enjoyed all the curry dishes, but I think I should try to venture out of that section a bit more next time haha. Something we were quite surprised about is that the meat are all boneless, which was convenient.

We found this restaurant by chance after scrolling through yelp for butter chicken, but we ended up loving all the other dishes. The menu is huge so we will definitely revisit whenever we have the cravings for it.Chicken biryani ($15.99) - 5/5 stars. This was the most colorful and flavorful biryani I ever had. It's a quite large portion and the raita served with it made it perfect.Butter chicken ($16.99) - 4/5 stars. Pretty good, however, we were served the butter chicken after the biryani so it felt like it had less flavor.Garlic naan ($3.99) - 5/5 stars. This had so much garlic aroma and flavor, and it was just the perfect texture. It's way better than any other restaurants I've had naan at before.Special Himalayan Steamed Momo ($13.99 for 10 pieces) - 5/5 stars. Also one of the better momos I've had.Overall: 4.75/5 stars. We went later at night and the entire restaurant was full, but the service and food was still great.

Everything was great. The food was tasty. The spinach dish was my favorite. But really, everything was really good. The food came out promptly and was steaming hot as you can see. They had great service (although it was fairly empty.) I cant wait to come again.

"Love the neighborhood restaurant but I'm unimpressed by the food. I went for lunch and ordered a pretty basic vindaloo, naan and rice. I was pretty surprised that vindaloo was under seasoned. And despite asking for the dish spicy I got something very bland. Naan was dry and think. Almost cracker like. I hope their other dishes are better. And I hope they stay. But in all honesty the food feels watered down for the suburb. And I think they could do better."
"Stopped by during late afternoon and we were seated immediately. The waitress was super nice and laidback. What we got: chicken Himalayan curry (5/5) -- we got this in mild because I am a spice wimp and it was not spicy at all (thank you)..the sauce was bursting with flavor and I love the chunkiness which added robustness. The chicken was succulent but they didn't give nearly enough meat for what was being charged prawn tikka masala (5/5) -- again, ordered in mild for my sake and this sauce was tomatoey and creamy. The shrimp were a little overcooked and I thought there needed to be more for what we were payingnaan (4/5) -- my boyfriend said it is usually fluffier than this, but it was my first time having naan and I thought it was delicious dipping in the curries Although the meat was a bit skimpy for the dishes we ordered, flavors were perfect and I enjoyed the meal a lot. I would return to try their momo and other items!"
"Back again. Celebrating my B-Day and chose Kathmandu for my dinner place. This is a most outstanding dining experience, casual and delicious. Buff Chili Momo. Mmmmmmm. Are you here Yet?"
"Get the chicken and chicken chili momo! It was a random Sunday afternoon that I got to spend by myself while Gavin's at the temple learning about Buddhism and Vietnamese. I drove to the temple in Palo Alto to visit my grandpa (his picture is there) and decided to get gas on my way back. Had no idea there was a food truck meet up here. I was determined to stop by after Costco. I was excited to see momos on the menu. That was the first truck I saw. I didn't eat it the same day. These tasted great, still. I microwaved them but if I wasn't super lazy, steaming them for a few minutes would do the trick. The chicken momos were succulent. The chicken chili momos were earthy and had some heat to it. The chili sauce it came w/ elevated the heat, it was spicy but super tolerable. Accepts cards. Service was friendly. Will be back!"
"We walked past this place on our way to another establishment, and I immediately noticed the fragrant smell and sound of stir fry being made in a wok out the back of this truck. So when we were disappointed by the food at the first place we visited, we ran back to this food truck and were happy to see if was still there despite it being almost 9:30pm. Everything was cooked fresh after we ordered and came out piping hot; giving us enough time to walk and find a place to sit before it cooled down to an edible temperature. -Chili Chicken Momo ($11.99): this came out burning hot and was amazing. There were 8 momos that were super flavorful and a little crispy on the outside, stir fried in a delicious tomatoey spiced sauce with onions and green peppers that still had a nice bit of crunch. It comes with a spicy red sauce and a creamy orange sauce full of umami. This food truck is a gem and I highly recommend you come by to try the chili chicken momos. I saw some other people getting the chow mein and which also smelled and looked amazing, so I'd love to come back to try the rest of their flavorful, made to order food!"
"Jhol momo (lamb): yummy; Medium spice is just right for usOur go-to dish here is C Chili Chicken momo, which is spicy (more than what we would like even in Medium spice level)."
"The momos here are so delicious. The tiki masala veggie momos are my favorite. They are juicy and full of flavor. It is best to get them fresh or eat them right away if you get takeout. I took away a star because they have messed up on my to go orders twice so far."
"One of my favorite places to go if you want amazing food and now has an amazing HH menu and craft cocktails. Can't wait to both dine in with the HH nibbles or grabbed takeout and have a lovely drink at the bar."
"I think the food tasted better late last night when i got home from a party and was starving. Reheating it today for lunch wasn't as satisfying. I got the saag paneer, curry vegetables, and the hot/ sweet momos in broth. That was the star of the meal. The broth was spicy and flavorful. They get an extra star for being open late in West Oakland. I wish they had put my naan in a paper bag, so it stayed crisp. Instead, it was wrapped in tinfoil, so it was more like pita bread."
"Today's Wednesday and I had a friend who brought me here for lunch around 11:30am. Wasn't crowded. Show me around when it comes to each dish which I'm grateful for. I don't know what each dish is called, but there'll be breakfast food, biryani, lots of side dishes and entrees and desserts. It was really good food and I can't wait to come back!"
"The best Nepalese restaurant in Oakland. the food is reliably delicious, no matter what we've ordered we've always enjoyed it. We recently had a dinner party and got to giant order of yellow spinach Dal, chicken biryani, palak paneer, aloo gobi, Chana masala, samosas, garlic naan, and a mess of other dishes. Everything was delicious. Service is kind and prompt. They have a huge outdoor patio that is great for groups, and it's rarely crowded. Highly recommend."
"A hidden gem at San Pedro Square! Not sure how I never tried this place before out of all the numerous times I've been here. But finally got down to it, and boy it was worth it!FOOD:----------I would describe the food as a combination between Chinese and Indian influences, flavor wise.First of all, had to try the *Chicken Momos* for which they are famous. And rightly so! Deliciously stuffed with a solid ratio of meat to veggie, and filled with delightful herbs and spices. Really supple and tasty.Their *Chicken Chow Mein* reminds me of Singapore style chow mein. Great taste, good meat/veggie to noodle ratio, and super filling, which is great when you have hungry hungry people with you.We were recommended the *Chicken Tikka Masala* which I thought might be a standard version, but this one really punched my mouth with superb flavor. The portion was very generous and I couldn't stop stuffing myself with this dish.SERVICE/AMBIANCE:-----------------------------Service was great and they gave excellent recommendations. Ambiance is pretty vibrant on the back side of the market without being too rowdy. This is the calmer side of San Pedro Square so you won't be disturbed by (too many) drunken interruptions.TIP: You can always order to go, so that you can pack up the leftovers even after you eat here.DATE TIP: Definitely a great place to order and share lots of tasty morsels. That to-go box will come in handy so you and your date don't overstuff yourself!"
"Amazing!!! Love the chicken monos. The spicy chutney is bomb.com. The services is pretty good."
"Rara and the service was good. The ambience is a little darker lighting and it feels like a finer dining experience. Food is Nepalese style so it's a fusion of Asian and South Asian flavors.Food ordered:1. Bhatmas Sadheko (4/5)This is a spiced roasted soy beans dish and had a little kick, but was mostly crunchy and savory with a sprinkle of zest freshness. A good sharing and veggie friendly appetizer.2. Chicken 8848 (5/5)The dish is fried chicken topped with a nice creamy house, almost tikka masala like, sauce was maybe the highlight of the meal. There's also a cauliflower version two for veggie people. 3. Skewer Lamb Kebab (3/5)The lamb kebab plate came with cut up cubed Lam that was cooked very nicely on top of a bed of yellow rice, and with sides of vegetables and salad.Chicken Momo (4/5)The chicken momo had a really good outside dough as it wS was not too thick and chewy, and there was plenty of delicious filling. It came with a side of two dips which were good but not anything too special imo.Tawa Roti (2/5), Paratha (3/5)The roti and paratha were very similar, but with the Paratha being a little tastier because it had more butter and more layers when you pulled it apart.Lamb Chop Sizzler (4/5)Lamb chops were beautiful and tender. Egg noodles were stir fried and yummy but similar to garlic noodles, but with some vegetables.Overall, all the dishes were good, but none of them really stood out tremendously. This is a nice place if you are looking for something more fine dining esque."
"Located at the corner of 10th & Clay, I've walked past this place many times and opted to have lunch here with a colleague. As shown in the photo, this place serves Indian and Nepalese Cuisine. The Chai tea is decent, the interior decor clean and fresh with a gorgeous bar and a pleasant vibe excellent for one on one conversations. For appetizers, we tried the mixed Nepalese dumplings (chicken, lamb and vegetarian) or Momo. They are served with a tomato based sauce and were excellent. For the main course, I had the chicken Marsala which tasted delicious. For lunch, this place is a tad pricier costing $80 for 2 after tip but you'll leave filled up.Excellent and friendly service. Would come here again."
"I can't say enough about the service! They are welcoming, willing to converse with you on where they are from, and super accommodating! We came in around 8pm and it was just us. But more people started rolling in around 9pm to eat. This is a popular place to have traditional Indian/Himalayan/Nepalese dishes! We came for the Momo - -- so glad we were finally able to try these, they were pretty darn good. Little pockets of chicken goodness dipped in their sauce put me in a happy spot."
"Just delicious and fresh tasting. Thukpa was so flavorful and yummy. Also had been craving indo Chinese street food like chop suey and was excited to see that on the menu . Another delicious dish. Friendly staff and service. 10/10 recommend."
"Amazing Nepali food! Our go to restaurant for Momos.Highly recommend Chicken Jhol (10 stars!) Momo, Chicken Tandoori Momo and Lamb Seekh Kebab. All Momos are made fresh including the Momo sauces."
"We are very lucky to have authentic Nepalese and Indian food here in Grand area.I know my Nepalese friends tell me that a lot of their favorites are in North Berk or Albany area, but wait til you eat at Bayleaf. The gentleman who is always at the front is the most kind and welcoming individual. Service is an art. I ordered for pickup, and he also gave me some free potato samosas with my order. I had their steamed chicken momos and naan. I liked their regular naan more than the garlic, which surprised me. Momos are just like the delicious cousin to East Asian dumplings, so they're always so comforting. In typical Nepalese and Indian fashion, the dips are so flavorful and bursting with life. Colors from red to green and orange! I know my burps gon' be tasty for a whole day after eating Bayleaf. Support local y'all. They also have a neon-y interior/dark element vibe, and they're open on most holidays. They were open on Christmas and they have lots of space indoors for large parties."
"My brother ordered DoorDash from Urban Momo way too many times as it's his favourite go to. Yesterday he ordered for me when am visiting him in Foster city. The order arrived so quickly to my surprise. We got: Chicken Chow Mein schezwan flavors - it was amazing. Loved the taste, texture and flavours. It gave the charred texture that makes it authentic like made in Indian street style bandi. chicken momo's. Plump, juicy, packed with tasty meat and steamed to perfection. The momo sauce was perfect combination to the momo.Neatly packed and filled to the brim. Would recommend for sure."
""How about Indian?" I asked my daughter as we were wandering Montclair on a cold Saturday night. She gave me an enthusiastic yes and we set off to Himalayan Curry House. They do a brisk take out business here but we decided to eat in. Staff was very kind and the chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan (especially the naan) made my seven-year-old very happy. I might've liked a bit more spice in my curry but given my dining companion it was just right."
"Momo Hub is a Nepalese spot that I have been wanting to try since it opened. I love dumplings and I have never had Momo before. Location is a little corner spot and there are a few tables to eat at. When I walked in, I was taken back by the big wall covering the kitchen. In other Yelp pictures, that wall is not there and it just a big eyesore. I walked in and ordered a Chicken Momo and a Vegetable Momo. Though I didn't put up a stink about it, but the prices on their website are much different and cheaper than when you do a walk in order. Maybe I should of said something, but I was on my lunch hour and wanted to get food and go. Next time (if there is a next time), I will order online and a head of time. It took 30 min to get my food. So half of my lunch hour was wasted. They need to get faster on their ticket times. The food: The dumpling or Momo's kept falling apart and that made for a tough eating experience. I think I had only three that stayed intact. Both tasted good. I liked the spices. Of the two, I liked the Vegetable Momo over the Chicken. The vegetable one just had more flavor. They both are very greasy. The sauces all were very flavorful. I think the Tomato sauce was the best. Would I comeback? Probably. I hope they work on the prices for the website and walk-in are matching up, the Momo's stay together and quicker ticket times."
