"Came on a weekday to order a dozen donuts. Luckily there was only one person in front of me because the service is slow. Your items are hand dipped to order. As I was waiting for my order to be dipped, 3 people came in and thr person took their order. Since I was in a rush, this irritated me a bit but there was nothing I could do... the tip didn't seem to make any difference. In any case, the mochi donuts were good. I would reorder black sesame and lilikoi. As for ambiance, there isn't much to the ambiance. You just walk up to the register and order, then stand around and wait or stare at the bulletin board."
"It's nice to have a donut/sandwich shop nearby in your own neighborhood and this place is no exception. I've been frequenting Roger's for years now and have seen this business thrive. There are many folks from the neighborhood coming in on the weekends and workers mostly on weekdays. Their donuts are delicious and their croissants are not your regular type croissants but more of a doughy-donut texture but still good. What I really love is their sandwiches and my favorite is the hot pastrami. It can get chaotic though at times especially on the weekends. To order a sandwich, you must get in line near the cold beverages and place your order. The menu is large enough and easy to read. Choose your bread type and any cheese you want added. A ticket is then printed in front of you and you take that to the cash registers. What is confusing after that point is many people gathered around with no sense of organization. One way to notice if someone has already paid or yet to pay is by looking at the color of their receipts. If you see someone holding a white ticket, most likely that person hasn't yet paid for their food. If you see pink in their hands, they have already paid and is waiting for their food. They also have breakfast offerings but I have tried any of those items yet. Besides the chaos of people standing around, the food makes up for it. Best time to go here is after the rush hours."

"Food came out quick and staff were friendly. They do have a selection of donuts to go as well"
"I have to be careful here. As a T2 diabetic this place is love/hate for me. I avoided it for years, thinking that it is better that I don't know what goes on behind the front door, in order to avoid any future cravings that my pancreas can't handle. Well last week I needed something to stave off some recent family stress and slow myself down with a treat. We were in the neighborhood of this well-known gem and decided to stop in for "a" donut. Welcoming and friendly, large inside with endless racks of the most delicious-looking donuts. Once you see how big and tall and delicious these donuts are you will be so happy you stopped! So many variations to try! From glazed and covered with cereals like pebbles and fruit loops, to my favorite the boston creme pie (chocolate topped and filled with the most smooth, creamy and comforting custard) this place is amazing! I just immediately felt happier that I was taking time out to treat myself and turns out donuts ARE self-care for me! We tried a few over the next few days because we got 6 for the two of us. Uh oh yes I gained a few pounds because of it but I'll burn it off next week. Maybe. Who cares, it was absolutely worth it! Tried the boston cream, an old fashioned glazed (thick cakey goodness and glaze could be sweeter IMHO,) some nutty covered glazed one wife enjoyed, simple round and sugared ones filled with custard and one with lemon which was impressive- not too fake lemony sweet and just light as can be for a jelly, with a very true-to-fresh lemon taste. It was the simple yet different Creme Brûlée donut that left both of us in awe. We split this one and both agreed we'd go back and get 6 of just these next time! It was so impressive! I've never had a donut with that crispy of a shellac on the outside. It truly was crunchy and sweet just like the hard topping of a creme brûlée, in every bite! Then the filling...hands to the sky, that filling was divine! Different than the custard, it tasted like "baked in the oven in a bain marie" creme brûlée and had a texture that was thick and creamy. After 3 days, we are still thinking of that donut. This place is truly special. Be sure to stop in and you won't be disappointed!"
"We ordered the beignets with condensed milk and one vanilla bean Malasada and it was soo delicious ! It did take about 10 mins to get but the owner/workers were very nice. It's a small cafe with a couple tables inside and a couple tables outside. Would definitely recommend trying this cafe out, especially the malasadas !"
"Came in the morning to get a box of mochi donuts to go. Just about one of my favorite types of donuts. Fresh, chewy, delightful. Would be better if there were more flavor options, as every time I've come, only about half appeal to me. Overall, if you've never had mochi donuts, worth trying at least once, and you won't go wrong with trying them from Te'Amo."
"Discovered these delicious donuts at the Lake Merritt farmers market when visiting recently! There were so many yummy looking ones but the staff helped me choose the best one for that day given the chilly weather. I went for the pumpkin donut and definitely was not disappointed! I got one for me and a treat for a friend to enjoy later. Such a delightful Saturday surprise."
"Been going to Maple Leaf Donuts for years and will miss Mary. Recently went for the first time under new ownership and met a nice woman behind the counter named Tia, who was very friendly and efficient. She accurately assembled my 1 doz donuts in a new flat style box, not the pink tallish square box I was so used to all these years. It''ll take some getting used to, but the advantage of the flat box is all donuts are now easily displayed (& accessible) when the box is opened - vs. being tightly slotted sideways in the pink box. All the donuts looked the same visually - which is a compliment to the new donut maker. I can't speak to the taste of the dozen donuts as they were given as a gift. I did order an apple fritter & old fashioned for myself - compliments to the current donut maker, both tasted like Maple Leaf Donuts - I'll need a few more visits to confirm for consistency of the product, but it seems they're following the previous recipes, techniques & process. Also the new owners put up a couple of flat screens that display all their menu items. Hopefully Almaden and the surrounding area gives the new owners a chance and continue to support local small businesses like Maple Leaf Donuts"
"Amazing and tasty donuts. It hit the spot. I got an eclair bar with custard and an old fashioned donut.Loved it. Definitely coming back"
"Awesome old school donut shop. We got a dozen to share with family, and they threw in a few donut holes. Donuts were fresh and delicious."
"Lloyd's was clean, fast, and efficient. I was in and out of here today in less than five minutes. I walked in to grab a dozen cream puffs that rivals bearded papa's and never have I been disappointed by the quality of the food or the service. My fondest memory of Lloyd's was over the pandemic when I came 10 minutes before closing and they ran out of creampuffs. Despite running out the woman who rang me up said she could fill some for me and that meant a lot because my mom was craving them. I have been a repeat customer since. Please be kind and support this local gem mom and pop shop."
"Maple Leaf Donuts is hands down my go-to spot whenever I'm craving fresh, delicious donuts. The service is always top-notch--friendly staff who are quick and attentive, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a reliable, no-fuss spot for great donuts at a great price, Maple Leaf Donuts is the place to go!"

Great texture and flavor on their donuts. I think the Lilikoi was my favorite. Do NOT try their seasonal poke they currently offer.

The chaos of Roger's Deli & Donuts on a Sunday really reminded me of the east coast. Around 10AM they were super busy, but very efficient at getting through patrons quickly. Their system was a little confusing, where you order your bagel right away and receive a ticket, but only order your drinks and pastries when you pay at a different counter. I ordered an Everything Bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers, and then also got a Thai Iced Coffee and an Old Fashioned Maple Donut. Everything was ready quickly, but I had a hard time hearing the order numbers being called out, since their intercom was very quiet. They did have some seating inside, but the outside had a much more pleasant ambiance, so we snagged a table there. My Thai Iced Coffee was phenomenal - strong, delicious! I highly recommend ordering one of these. The bagel wasn't bad, but was't anything special either. The thick layer of cream cheese was definitely too much compared to the amount of lox. I did love the Old Fashioned Maple Donut though! The texture and the maple frosting were both perfect. Overall, a good experience - would happily return to try more!

Was craving for a donut after dinner and came across this place on Yelp. They have parking on the back, place has a very local bakery vibe, has some seats. I got the chocolate glazed. The donut is little bigger than usual size you get at other places. The donut was good. Not great, not bad. It was definitely made the same day, so you can say it was fresh.I wish they labelled the donuts. There are so many variations that its not possible to ask the 'busy staff'. They were not friendly. But I'll go back for the donut!

This was the fist place I tried my first mochi donut about five years ago and it's my first visit in a while. The shop offers multiple types of baked goods like Malasada, mochi donuts, and ice cream buns.Mochi donuts (5/5): You have to get a minimum of four mochi donuts and even the. The price isn't too bad. We got matcha, honey dew sugar, pandan, and black sesame. They were all soft and chewy. A very pleasant surprise in my mouth.Malasadas (5/5): For some reason I thought it was supposed to be crunchy, but it was super fluffy and sweet. We got vanilla bean, matcha, and Ube. I definitely recommend the vanilla bean.Definitely as great as I remembered it to be.

We came on a rainy day by chance, which means free hot chocolate. The owner kept coming out and giving us treats while my daughter did her homework. He was so kind and friendly. He insisted we take some home to her sister. The treats were amazing and service some of the best I've ever had. Will be coming back here regularly to support such a wonderful business.

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing! The moment you walk in you're hit with the delicious aroma of fresh donuts! They have a big selection of donuts that look incredible. I got the half dozen to be able to try a variety. When you get the half dozen you get a free buttermilk donut and I opted for maple. The standouts for me were the pistachio old fashioned donut and the lavender donut. I am a sucker for pistachio anything but always hesitant as I feel most pistachio items don't taste enough like it. This donut was SUPERB, delicious and busting with pistachio flavor! The lavender one was also really good, the lavender wasn't overpowering and the donut itself was fluffy and delicious! The service was great and the cashier was so nice! I will definitely be back again!'

"I don't know why it took me so long to try my local donut shop, but I regret not coming sooner! Their donuts are the perfect amount of moistness so that even on the next day, they still feel fresh. They are also fluffy and not overly sweet.Staff there are very friendly and helpful, and they take both cash and credit for payment. I would say they are the best donut shop in the area that I've tried!"
"I promised my kid donuts for breakfast and at 5am I drove around looking for a spot that was open.As luck would have it, I found this cozy little shop that sells truly delicious donuts, & strong coffee.Service was very quick and very courteous. Thanks delicious donuts & bagels for helping me start my kid's morning off with a smile!"
"My bf uber eats this to me and it was easy delivery, secure package with nice big box and bag. The donuts were big and each piece was easy to pull apart and fluffy. They seemed be just baked and fresh! Perfect enough of frosting on top and churro has sugar all around it. The mochi is nice and chewy! Would def recommend."
"Best lil shop! My mom & I have been coming here for years and have loved ever since. Owners/ and or worker ladies are the absolute best + sweetest Always looking forward to our next bagel sandwiches! Might even pop in today!"
"I came here for breakfast this morning. I ordered two glazed donuts, one sugar donut, one cinnamon donut, and one sausage, egg, cheese bagel sandwich.Everything tasted delicious, but somewhat pricey though. The donuts are so fluffy and airy, it's insane. The price for one donut is $2.25.The bagel sandwich was $7.50. It was fire too. The scrambled egg was cooked just right, the sausage had a great peppery taste to it, and the bagel had a good bounce to it.I also have to mention it was very hot inside the donut shop compared to outside. It made me want to just take my food to go.There's also a 50 cent surcharge for any credit or debit card use so I recommend you use cash to save yourself two quarters."
"Vietnamese Coffee I had here was REALLY tasty! I have driven by a million times & go to Greco Grill nextdoor for greek grub regularly and finally stopped in to Maple Leaf. They close at 2PM so just gotta make sure and get over there before then. 5 stars for that coffee. Still need to try a donut. I will definitely be back :) Thanks Maple Leaf!"
"I ordered a veggie sandwich for a pickup and my food was ready in 5 mins. Oooh! It was so good. Toasted. Overfilled with cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce, onions and cucumbers. And slathered with an amazing mustard sauce. AND it came with free donut holes. Thank you. Am surprised how it took me this long to find this neighborhood gem! Do check it out."
"Donut Basket in San Jose MIGHHHTT be my new favorite donut shop in San Jose. I loved all the donuts but the ones that particularly stood out were the blueberry, glazed old fashioned, chocolate cake and crumble raised donuts. Best part is they weren't stale the next day either. This place is as good as Stan's in my opinion"
"One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Made fresh. The only ice coffee they had was in a bottle; but since those are too sweet for my tastes, they made me one from the hot coffee with a big cup of ice.Very nice people."
"Woohoo! I always thought this was some "fake" donut house that was never open since it closes so early but I'm really glad they have extended their hours now to 2:00pm. I no longer have to wake up so early to get Donuts :)[[ Location ]]It is next to Fremont Bank and the CVS / 99 Ranch Shopping Center. It's in a "quiet" location but you can definitely see it when you are transitioning from 680 to 880 freeway and the new banner displaying their new hours will definitely catch your eye.[[ Food ]]Opted to try out their Donuts as they are a Donut House and see what the fuss is all about. I think most of the donuts are well priced between $1 to $4. I bought 6 donuts in total and it came out to $11.**Keep in mind there is a credit card transaction fee if you don't use cash which I think is around ~3.3% of the total price. I would bring cash....Overall, I think the donuts have that "mom and pop" feel and they definitely taste decent. None of the donuts will make you feel like you are eating the best donuts in the world but I believe they are generally tasty and the ones with fillings have a decent amount in them. I also like how they are not too sweet so its not like you are eating a mouthful of sugar. For me the only downside is that I think some of the donuts are too dense and it can sometimes feel that you are eating too much "bread" in the donuts.Favorite donut I got from the bunch is the small blueberry donut. Really strong blueberry taste and it was actually quite soft and fluffy compared to some of the denser donuts I ate.[[ Overall ]]I think I definitely will be back for some close donut action as well as to try out some of their breakfast items."
"Woah.... Where have these donuts been???2 coffees2 mochi donuts with sprinklesA dozen donut holesChocolate chocolate sprinkle donutRaspberry jelly donutCinnamon rollMaple barChocolate sprinkle donutThe mochis were good a little greasy according to child 1 Japantown in SF makes a good one but these were good for east bay.Donut holes, sprinkle donuts can't go wrong. Delicious and large.Jelly donut was amazing. The filling tasted exactly like it should sweet. The donut was fully filled with the jelly, that it was squirting out the sides with each bite. Best jelly donut I've ever had.Cinnamon roll is basic just as any other.Maple bar was great. Really liked it.Coffee was coffee nothing special but it hit the spot. It's a large variety of donuts so there's something for everyone.Service was nice the lady was patient with us as we browsed the donuts. Husband kept adding to the box. For everything we got it was under $25 so it's fairly priced. It's a small space but really nice atmosphere and easy to get around. We really liked how it was all cohesive and easily found what we wanted. We'll be back for sure"
"Wow! This place rocks now. I was sad to see Happy Donuts close, but Manley's is the BOMB. New owners? Must be. It's a whole new donut shop and breakfast spot. A+++"
"By far, my #1 favorite donut shop in San Jose. Yes I said it! Their assortment of donuts is truly the best, and even when they run out of my favorites (maple bars!!!), they have so many other delicious options to choose from. I want to add though that their donuts and croissants AND breakfast sandwiches are all delicious. Their donuts are always fresh / never stale, even as it gets later in the early afternoon, and their food selection is simply delicious. Oh! And I do appreciate their coffee and drink selection too! Lots to choose from, no matter what your mood is.Their service is amazing and the staff who work there are so kind and patient. They are always so friendly! It is clean inside, the ambiance is just like a good ol, warm-hearted donut shop should be - not too big, just right, and option to take a quick seat if needed.Really love this shop and all yummy things donuts from them!"
"Well it was last month. They are very different. In a good way, and wow the texture, is what got me. And they are not over sweet, with the flavors they have. So you get to pick. A bit costly, but good if you want a change. And no, you only get 3. The casher was very friendly, the place clean. With a small area to sit and eat. Yes they have some finger foods, I have not tried them. I have been here twice now, and will be back."
"Delicious fresh donuts and great drinks! Friendly staff & clean shop with a good variety of items on the menu."
"I work in a profession where it is traditional to bring donuts in the morning for many occasions Fresh donuts has quality options and they are open early. The bagel sandwiches and ice coffee are good too.I recommend trying them out out and supporting a local business"
"Standard donut shop BUT they seem to have LOTS of selections towards closing time which is a plus! The donuts are all fresh, the giant twisted glazed ones taste as if it was from the previous day. Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all stop by and grab some donuts while you're in the area."
"I hadn't had much of a breakfast several weekends ago before dropping my car off for service at the dealer nearby. While they were working on it, I walked over to downtown Sunnyvale to take a look at the new Whole Foods and AMC movie theater that had been built there. I remembered that there had once been a place called Star's Donuts in a mini-strip mall down Sunnyvale avenue, so I headed that direction after surveying the Whole Foods and the theater. In the space where Star's Donuts used to be is now Daily Donuts & Sandwiches. They used to have another location in a shopping center at El Camino and Pastoria, but they closed it since that shopping center was slated to be razed (and eventually was). When the former Star's Donuts closed here, Daily Donuts moved in.I walked in and glanced at the donuts behind the glass. I ended up ordering a chocolate Long John / bar and a glazed donut as well as a medium coffee with milk and cream. The nice lady behind the counter got my order ready and rung me up in the span of a few minutes. The total cost was $5.05, which is an excellent price if you ask me. The donuts were both pretty good! They weren't the same quality as the famous Stan's in Santa Clara, but I thought they were still flavorful and filling. The coffee was unremarkable. I didn't get a chance to see or ask if they brew it on site, but, alas, it's no big deal either way.Overall, I'm glad I paid these guys a visit. It's small businesses like these that I really enjoy patronizing and supporting. They also serve bagels and sandwiches, in case you're not in the mood for donuts.I hope those of you reading this think of a business like this that you can support at a time like this when many small businesses everywhere are struggling to make it due to the shutdown. If you wanted pizza, would you rather go to Pizza Hut or a local Bay Area pizza joint like Maldonado's, Cicero's, or Golden Boy? If you were looking for a particular book, would you rather go to Barnes and Noble (and risk getting diarrhea), or a local Bay Area bookstore like Leigh's, Kepler's, or City Lights? If you were in the mood for a burrito, would you rather go to Chipotle or a local taqueria like Tacos Jalapa, Los Altos Taqueria, or El Farolito? And if you were hungry for a donut, would you rather go to Krispy Kreme or a local donut shop like Daily Donuts, Donut Wheel, Stan's, or Bob's Donuts? You get the picture. Give your patronage and money to local, mom-and-pop businesses. They need it now more than ever.SUPPORT LOCAL/SMALL BUSINESSES.4 stars"
"Stopped in for a couple dozen for my office on no other day than...National Donut Day! Who knew? Chocolate Cronuts! Lemon Cronuts! Apple fritters! Maple Long John's! Chocolate long John! Old fashioned! Sprinkles! Jelly filled! Got a selection of the whole gang. I had to leave before I got a 3rd dozen. All fresh, delicious, and decadent. Friendly owners & fast service. A+++"
"Hello Donut Factory, how are we only now trying donuts and pastries from here?!? We loved all of the raised donuts, bar donuts, and cinnamon rolls. The dough was fluffy and fresh without being too sweet as the glazes took care of that. I also ordered old fashion and cake donuts, but these were definitely on the sweeter side. Prices were affordable, presentation was nice and packaged well, and they offered a good variety of donuts, pastries, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches. The croissants were huge and good, but the bottom of one was a little doughy still, so I'd say stick with the donuts or order a breakfast sandwich where the croissant could be toasted more. Also, go early or order delivery early as everything was fresher that time versus the time we got them later in the day, but I guess that's kind of a given."
"Family owned business located at Washington Square First time here I got a medium coffee one strawberry cake donut and one glazed donut as well as a ham and cheese croissant for $13 Venue inside is clean Customer service is friendly Donuts are tasty"
"I found this donut place randomly as I was looking for a particular 'Happy Donuts' in the Bay Area but stumbled on this place who makes strawberry donuts or added real strawberries in their donuts! It's located right off the freeway and easy to find. They have their own parking, too which is great. During Covid, they only allowed 4 people at a time as the inside is not too big. They had stickers on the floor for distance. The elder owner couple are so cute and very helpful and super nice. I came here mainly for their straw donuts!! They have real strawberry filled glazed donuts and strawberry frosted donuts. They were both good as it has real strawberries in it but the strawberry frosted tastes like regular cake frosting but with bits of real strawberries. It didn't have a strong strawberry taste as the vanilla frosting taste was strong. The best which I can have all the time is their strawberry filled glaze donuts!!Their other donuts are pretty good too and prices are very decent. Their bar donuts can be filled with custard if you ask. You can preorder their donuts as well as they make what they have till they are sold out. They don't open late so it makes sense. At least, I can pay with a credit card and not cash only! They sell other things like smoothies which I have to try their taro smoothie. They sell bagel and croissant sandwiches and coffee. We will be back!! [60/100]"
"=== Cronuts that actually TASTE like croissants ===Whoa. Set apart from the rest.Stopped by here because we have a Manley's nearer my house and I was curious. This place's donuts were outlier good.+ Cronut actually TASTES like a croissant. So many times, donut stores' cronuts look different but taste basically like a slightly denser raised donut. Not here. The thing breaks apart easily into layers like a real croissant and it tastes like a croissant. It's not only that the dough is less sweet, the layers really impart a different taste and feel. Impressed.+ Lovely yeasty taste to their raised donuts.+ Kids ordered that big chunky loaf shaped donut with maple topping. I usually don't get that because with so much dough, it ends up being cloying and heavy. But this was surprisingly light and crispy and heavenly. If you can do that with this large block-shaped donut, you're a magician in my book.+ Friendly when ordering.+ Gave us a 13th donut with our dozen order.Wish this place was closer to my house. Oh wait, no I don't... :-D"
