"Ordered online thinking I ordered from the Winchester location but they were closed. Make a note... Winchester closed Mondays. I double checked address and found myself down town San Jose. The food was excellent quality as it always is at Back a yard Grill. I love their fried plantains. Tonight's chicken had plenty of their jerk sauce on it and the rice with red beans was wonderful as always. Their jerk salmon sandwich is a huge hit around here as is the jerk pork. Everyone is always smiling after we eat here. All in all the food is consistent and delicious. This new location (to us) didn't let us down!Yum and yum and yum again! Enjoy"
"I've heard about this place for several years but only got to try it recently. I was feeling overwhelmed with all the options available and ended up consulting the cashier for recommendations. After asking me what my preferences were, he recommended me the Pistachio Jasmine Dream (seasonal drink), which I got with oat milk (no additional cost!), less ice, and less sugar. Boy, was it a good recommendation! I love it when I can taste the tea flavor in my drinks, and I could definitely taste the jasmine and the floral hints in this one!! The pistachio cream was also delicious, and gave the drink some creaminess and a hint of nuttiness.I've heard that this place is sometimes not consistent with their drinks, but I personally had a great experience when I visited! There's ample seating inside and the interior aesthetic is clean, warm, and modern -- perfect for studying or catching up with friends!"

"I ordered the torta cubana, all I can say is that it was amazing. They have a combo too, not sure if it's only a lunch deal but it's your preferred sandwich, an alfajor (sweet cookie) or chips and a soda. 10/10 I will come back and bring co-workers. The service was great and the place was clean and comfortable."
"It was MYNT to be a great lunch with colleagues at Mynt. Service was great and glasses were always filled with water. It is a classy ambiance. We had the butter chicken, the paneer sizzler plate, naan, and vegetarian biryani. Everything was delicious and fresh. Quality food if you ask me. Sorry no pics as it would look weird in front of work colleagues. Parking was plentiful during weekday lunch hour."
"This was an excellent Thali meal with amazing value! The variety of curries was fantastic, offering a great mix of flavors and textures. The food was prepared quickly, and the online ordering process was super easy and convenient. The takeout packaging was flawless--everything was neatly packed and stayed hot. The staff was polite and welcoming, with everything ready to go in what appeared to be a very tidy interior. Definitely a spot worth returning to!"
"I am very late writing this review. This restaurant is superb. I cannot wait to go back. I am of Italian descent and I have spent time in Italy and I will say that this is some of the most authentic food I have had on this side of the pond.My friend who joined me for her birthday lunch was delighted. She is also Italian, and we both agreed that the food reminded us of Italy and we were already making plans to go back before we were even done eating. She had the gnocchi, which were like little pillow puffs -just the right amount of sauce, and it was a mouthful of heaven. I had the pasta with wild boar, and I was not at all disappointed. The last time I had that was in Italy and it reminded me of my trip. It was very, very good. Service was on point. They were very accommodating, even though we were late and we took a long time at the table."
"Best BBQ EVER! I drive from San Jose just for a plate! Never tried something that I didn't love! Fire food and imma be honest... The hospitality is unmatched! You literally walk in wanting some amazing BBQ that you can smell from your car- and walk out- FAMILY! I'm sorry but you don't get that anywhere these days! This whole establishment is amazing! You won't want to hurry up and leave.. You're gonna want to stay awhile and mingle with great conversation! Feel the difference it makes to eat at a family business vs a chain where the food is mid at best! I love the greens, brisket, ribs, catfish, etc. Everything is so delicious!"
"I have now used Golden Harvest and their team 3 times for our catering needs. I'm just sorry I haven't reviewed them sooner. John is awesome and great at communicating, he usually responds within minutes. The food is wonderful, always hot and fresh. We've tried the Italian menu, Mexican menu, and American traditional. People loved all of them. Prices are affordable and the service is top notch. We will continue using them in the future."
"I have used them twice to cater company events and both experiences was nothing short of amazing. Romelia, Stephanie and the rest of the team are such pleasures to work with, tacos and quesadillas are impeccable, agua frescas and churros are also delicious! They also provide their own tables and tent, and they decorate the tables. 10/10 recommend! They will definitely be contacted for future events!"
"Dawn and Marty are outstanding. I've had their Holiday/Thanksgiving food 3x now and I booked them again this year. Probably the juiciest turkey I've ever had and the best sides. I still dream about the candied yams. Delivery was smooth and the spread impressed all the guests. Fantastic portions and everything paired well. This will be a tradition."
"I'm so pissed off. I've ordered from this place and I never never had a bad experience. I normally order the flautas and they come nice and crispy. This time they put the flautas on top of refried beans the soggiest nastiest flautas arrived. Obviously, if you put it on top of beans, they're gonna get soggy."
"I was very surprised how good this place was. We decided to get takeout, which I never like because the food is always better dining in, but it was last minute and the place was close. We got the curry chicken, banh mi, some pho and a few appetizers. After trying the shrimp bread I was like WHOA WHAT IS THIS?! Pretty blown away by the flavor. The curry was the 1-2 punch, also a fresh flavor bomb! I will say the pho and banh mi were decent but nothing as good as you can get in East SJ. Doesn't matter really tho because the other items were very good. Definitely will return!"

Food was real good. Staff seemed a little irritated while over the phone and during pickup. Maybe its just cause theyre always busy. But the food was great. Brisket. Links. Corn bread and cole slaw. All 10/10. Prices were very fair for the portions and quality of food as well. I'd go back.

Been hearing about this place for so long, so I was so excited to try! Boba Bliss has a really cute and cozy interior, it definitely has an artsy chill cafe vibe. I ordered the Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Latte, and my friend ordered the Mango Sago. I liked my drink, I thought the matcha was still flavorful and fragrant, and the brown sugar added a nice sweetness to it. There was no bitter aftertaste which I always appreciate in matcha. It was good overall, but it also wasn't anything too special that impressed me. My friend ordered the Mango Sago, and they agreed that it was good, but not good enough to come back. They'd rather opt for other spots that might be closer, since Boba Bliss is around 40 minutes out for us. The service was really great, the workers were patient and took their time helping us with recommendations. Overall, Boba Bliss is a nice and trendy spot, just not sure if it's worth the drive for now.

This was my family's first time back to the particular restaurant post pandemic. We used to come here for family birthdays, but when the pandemic happened, we stayed home.Since my dad is a meat eater, and my stepbrother is a vegetarian and it was a dinner honoring him, he picked the particular spot. Lol my dad and stepsister were able to order dishes while my brother got Vegetarian ones and my mom got a fish dish. I really enjoyed the vegetarian samosas and the curry although the curry was pretty spicy and it did not state that it would be as spicy as it was on the menu. Lol then again I do know this is Indian food and spice pallet is much more advanced than mine. Server and we were able to get our food in an adequate amount of time. I really liked the ambience of the private room we were in and my dad and Boyfriend really liked the fact that the Olympics was on and they split the TV into quadrants! Lol they were able to semi catch up on the Olympics since we were eating dinner. Lol. The restaurant itself was a rather dark and relaxing or had a lot of earth tones with beautiful paintings and statues. I really liked the subtle on of the paintings and wall fixtures. I will definitely like to go back again and get more samosas!!!

Loved the pasta we got at BB. The Papardelle was my favorite of what we tried. It's an incredibly rich dish. A fun calorie splurge.

Summary: Food was good, not great. I will give it another shot. I am currently in a credential program for Diversity in Leadership Institute at Bishop O'Dowd on Saturdays. We get about an hour to eat and this is LITERALLY right down the street. I ordered for pick up to maximum time. Upon arrival, food was ready with utensils and still warm even 10 minutes after initial time. Parking was plentiful but challenging to navigate as their food truck is blocking a section of the lot and signage isn't helpful. The inside was narrow but had a couple seats. The staff were pleasant and attentive. They pack in the meat which was great. Ribs and Tri Tip were both well seasoned, but drenched with bbq sauce which, for me, takes away from the craftsmanship of the BBQ. Mac and Cheese was solid but not creamy or cheesy. This was the most disappointing thing. Greens were really good. I want to give their fried chicken a shot.

This is the second year we've used Golden Harvest Catering and it was absolutely delicious!! They catered our annual Corporate Thanksgiving Luncheon today and did an outstanding job. Everything was displayed beautifully. John is wonderful to work with, he is very responsive. All of our employees thoroughly enjoyed lunch and most (if not all) went back for more!! Highly recommend!!

"Cute little cafe by the water. The owners are always so sweet and when I ordered eggs with bacon, they even asked me how I like my bacon; crispy or soft? they have varieties of food from traditional American breakfast to salads, sandwich and some Korean food."
"I probably scoped out their original location on A St. within their first month of opening. I knew that they would do well as long as locals were down with trying anothers culture's cuisine. Sure enough they did well enough that a second location opened up in the same town. Except the second location seems more specialized, more into catering, doesn't seem like a regular restaurant in hours of operation and in vibe. The day I came in for a pick-up order, the whole dining room looked all set up all formal, like a wedding reception. I almost thought I was at the wrong business, but sure enough I was able to pick up at a register in the corner. I love Afghan bbq, like when they patiently grilled marinated meats on skewers and serve with basmati rice with accompanying sauces and chutneys. I'm from Fremont where we have a wealth of Afghan eateries, so I've been eating this type of food most of my adult life. And just like my original review from the A St. location, Ghazni does a very decent job at giving you the Afghan flavors and techniques unique to that culture. Now when I rate them alongside my faves in Fremont, now they seem to be more in the middle of the pack. But even that is good enough for most and should impress enough to put Afghan food into anyone's back pocket. Chicken and Beef Kabob Combo ($20/4*) Both pretty good, well marinated chunks of meat are grilled with enough char to give you bbq vibes. Their seasoning is on point, I just found the bites to be a tad drier than my favorite place in my town. I also forgot that they serve more of spiced (brownish) basmati rice over a basic white basmati. I find the neutral white version better to go with those flavorful meats. And don't neglect the green and red sauces that go with, they both add another boost to an already flavorful bites. Lamb Kabobs ($23/4.5*) I liked these a tad more than the beef as they were more tender and the lamb flavor hits. I would probably make this my go-to dish here. So same food as I remembered from their original location, just a much different vibe and hours of operation. This one is actually much more convenient for me as it is right off of a freeway. So if I can meet their hours, this is a legit and viable score."
"reserved a thanksgiving dinner pick-up order..."hot ready to eat"...only available at the 13th street, san jose location...parking is extremely limited...parked on their narrow driveway...ordered a maple glazed roasted turkey and requested boneless and cut $115...comes with gravy and cranberry sauce...turkey was moist and flavorful...seriously delicious...ordered a half pan of the "fall off the bone" beef oxtail $85...the flavors were excellent, but probably needed to cook low and longer...beef did not fall off the bones and was a little chewy...half pan of candied yams $30 was pretty sweet...half pan of the rice and beans $34 was cooked perfectly...half pan of cornbread with butter $25 was so fluffy good...pecan pie $24 was delicious...about $400 total for dinner for 3 families...probably enough food for 6 families..."
"This catering company is amazing! I got their party trays for my sister's baby shower and everyone left full and satisfied as well as asking where the food came from. We did a tasting at their restaurant and everything was so flavorful. They even threw in some other things to try. The shrimp ceviche was amazing. I corresponded with Adrian over email and things went smoothly. The best dishes were the lion king salmon, picanha steak, shaking beef with noodles, soy garlic wings, tiramisu, and pandan creme brulee. Basically everything. Their prices are very reasonable and they deliver on time. I will definitely book with them again for my next special occasion."
"We stopped by Saturday night after our dinner. The staff was friendly and welcoming even though we came in close to closing time. Let me tell you, the pistachio ice cream was the best I've ever had. It was creamy and buttery. The Rose Saffron was unique and also very refreshing. Definitely stop by for some of their unique flavors!"
"We used The Best Sanwiches for our event at San Jose !! The food was amazing, service was exceptional They went over and beyond to help us! We enjoyed the sandwich and the wrap !! If you need food for event highly recommended!"
"My goodness, y'all better bring an appetite if you plan on coming here and putting on a feedbag. Jamie W and I came here quite spontaneously after a stop at Thee Stork Club nearby. Without a reservation, I thought for sure we were up the creek without a paddle since it was pretty packed with a lot of ravenous diners. The hostess, however, was kind enough to seat us at a window counter with hardly enough room for our plates.Hey, I'm not complaining. We were happy just perusing all their Land and Sea options and decided to wear our life vests as we focused on the seafood. In fact, Jamie ordered the $38 3-Way Seafood Combo with Snapper, Prawns & Oyster. It came in hefty deep-fried chunks with sides of their house specialties Crack & Cheese and Garlicky Green Beans (photo: https://yelp.to/TvXXtDIqhy). It was crunchy-good, and portion size was not an issue especially if you're obsessed with Southern-fried gluttony.I went with the $40 Blackened Prawns over Garlic Noodles. There were eight small garlic-freckled prawns on two skewers laid on top of a huge mound of thick noodles saturated in butter and garlic (photo: https://yelp.to/mn6TZ5q9ce). Honestly the carbs overwhelmed me, and there was no way I could make much of a dent into that pasta bowl. At the same time, the prawns were pretty flavorful. We also shared the $6 loaf of Garlic Bread, which while expectedly tasty, was just more carbs for me (photo: https://yelp.to/klsOUu_tV3).FOOD - 4 stars...pricey though quantity was generous here with solid Creole flavorsAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...tight squeeze in hereSERVICE - 4 stars...attentive considering all the distractions of a busy restaurant TOTAL - 4 stars...we'll make a reservation next timeRELATED - Exploring Oakland? "I tried Jalsa catering through a work related event and was very impressed with their dishes. The coconut curry chicken was delicious, and had a great spice level. Not too hot and not mild. Truly medium-hot and enough to keep you on your toes without being overpowering. (I like spicy so YMMV) The chole was also delicious and the rice and naan were perfectly prepared. I would absolutely order from them again."
"Beli Deli Catering hit a home run on our wedding! My wife and hired Zhanna and her team to cater our wedding at the Julia Morgan Ballroom last September. We had 150 guests, a cocktail hour with appetizers and a multi course dinner menu. Months later friends still tell us how amazing the spread was. Zhanna and company are amazing and have countless years of experience in feeding large gatherings. Her expertise goes well beyond the kitchen; she provided us invaluable advice that saved us money on details such as tables, seating, linens, garbage disposal and much much more. If you go down the road of planning a large wedding and want to create a spectacular gastronomic affair then Beli Deli Catering is your one stop shop. Our cocktail hour was a home run. We had plates of seafood, fresh fish, small pirogi, sushi and more. Before we left to the reception, which happened to be offsite in Oakland, Zhanna prepared a tray of sandwiches for the wedding party. She stressed the importance of us being fed as she said, you will not eat at your wedding, you will be too busy playing host and receiving toasts and all the other rituals that go along with being the center of attention at your own wedding. During the dinner service her team which included the kitchen staff and wait staff, ensured tables were stocked with drink, food came out on time. The dinner service started with cold appetizers, then went into hot appetizers, then we transitioned to hot main dishes. A desert table was in place before we arrived with mountains of fresh fruit, chocolate figurines, a fruit sculpture with our names on it and more. I can't imagine having pulled off a meal service that flawless without her. She was available at all times, on site the day of the wedding coordinating food with our day of wedding coordinator from start to finish. Her knowledge of the space, wedding particulars and all manner of freak-outs and pain points experienced by couples planning their own wedding made the entire process manageable and a joy. There was so much food left over after the wedding that we managed to feed over 40+ people at our house the next morning and throughout the day. If you want to get the most bang for your buck then look no further."
"I believe their BBQ menu is only Friday to Sundays.Came here after a hike nearby in Saturday afternoon. Had their Chicken wings dish and 2 separate ribs.I now understand the meaning of finger licking good. My first bite, I not only smelled but also tasted the smoke flavor. I didn't even know that could happen.Their BBQ sauce was delicious! Tangy, savory, and had me wanting more! Their sides were delicious.Truely 5/5 and I will be back! There is no place to sit since this vendor sells out of a mini mart/liquor store. There is a park nearby to sit!"
"I've only ordered takeout, but their thalis are such an excellent value! Satisfying variety of mostly bean- or lentil-based dishes and the spice level is not too hot. My order is usually prepared fast and I appreciate that the chaas is included, love the cumin.I'm forever screening restaurant health inspector scores with Santa Clara County's "SCCDineOut" app and I appreciate that this restaurant maintains a high score (92/100 as of April 2024)."
"Truly hidden jam restaurant inside yard of someone's house ! I was skeptical when I arrived as it's deep inside residential area, but once you get inside big white tent, it's p spacious and even have cozy heater! As growing up eating a lot of fresh seafood (back in Japan), I was impressed how fresh their seafood was. We got Aguachillito Mixto, basically seafood ceviche comes with cooked&raw shrimp, octopus + add on of Ahi, Scallops & Crab. They were cooked to perfect chewiness and marinaded nicely so you can still taste the fresh seafood & goes well with the tostadas! Shared among 2 people and got so full, but it was so good we kept eating hahaAhi was marinaded like poke so it didn't go well with others, but still good by itself / with rice! The price was very affordable for this amount of food & quality, service was also friendly! I'm gonna come back soon before they move out to commercial building as they will prob increase the price once they did!"
"I'm an executive assistant for a c-level tech executive, so I've done a million events from 4 attendees to 3,000 attendees. With many caterers, they will jump through hoops for your large events, but won't even talk to you for your small events. We recently had a small 7 person brunch and lunch event at my boss' home in Atherton. I spoke to a handful of different caterers and they didn't seem to understand the white glove service I was looking for. I felt so good after chatting with Nicolana from IDK. She really took the time to listen to what I was looking for, and went out of her way to deliver for me. We did a fancy mimosa brunch and wine paired lunch. Both came with multiple dishes and the team LOVED it. We opted for a fusion Indian theme and they brought a tandoori and the food and flavors were amazing. We were so impressed with the wine pairing as well, since Indian spaces are difficult to pair with. Once the event was done, they cleaned our kitchen and dining area and made it look even better than when they first started. Thank you so much Nicolana and Chef Jai. We love you guys, your mission of fresh local ingredients, and your level of care and service. We will be using you for future events, large and small!"
"Great truck. Inexpensive, fresh, super tasty, and generous portions. Fast, friendly service. They park at my office occasionally and although I normally bring my lunch I would order from them again."
"How lucky we were! A friend of mine recommended Chef AK and Eat Play Events to cater our wedding reception and they knocked it out of the park!We ordered appetizers for around 50 people, a mixtre of meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options. All were delicious, and the grilled shrimp and empanadas were exceptional. Everything was delivered on time, well organized and presented. They even included utensils, plates and napkins as a courtesy.Their prices are more than fair for the quality of the ingredients, the preparation and cheerful courtesy that we were shown. I would not hesitate to use them again for stand up or sit down affairs. You will get friendly, down to earth, professional and delicious fare!Thank you Eat Play!"
"This is the taqueria truck at the Shell gas station in Berryessa as of this writing. I arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday. I quickly ordered my go-to (regular carnitas burrito) since I was hungry and in a rush. Food came out quickly, under 5 minutes. The burrito was very good and didn't have chunks of fat/skin nor was it oily. In retrospect, I should have asked for extra of their "orange sauce" (habanero I believe). expert tips: 1) cash is king and gets better prices, but cards are welcome2) they do pinto beans, not black beans3) the hot sauce cups are tiny. not sure if they charge for extra."
"Everything Between Bunzz is a food truck operated by a catering company. it was located in downtown Oakland noonish friday.offerings: cheeseburgers, fish & chips, fried shrimp, beef stew, stuffed cakes.eats: fish & chips (13)-2 yummy fried pieces of white fish with slightly tangy sauce-freshly cut fries not crispy enough, slightly mushy, needed 10 seconds more frying time.3.75 stars.take outs:-no seating available, food made to order."
"BOXiChef Catering is a wonderful catering service with a variety of options whether it be individual boxed meals or a build-your-own-lunch from ingredients laid out in aluminum trays!I got to try their Teriyaki bar which allows you to create your own teriyaki rice or noodle bowl. It came with mixed vegetables, chicken, beef, tofu, and a couple of garnishes. Everything was pretty great! The noodles had a great chewy texture and the vegetables were steamed nicely. The meat and tofu were surprisingly very well made and marinated with the beef being a personal favorite as I found it to be of good quality. I thoroughly enjoyed the catered lunch and would love to get some more of BOXiChef again!"
"Whenever we see the email subject "Food Truck Today" from our apartment complex, we always hope it is La Cosina De Tel. Rain or shine we will be outside in our PJs just to get our hands on their burritos! We have tried their burritos, quesadillas, burgers and tacos. Although they are ALL amazing, my husband's go to is always their Carne Asada California Burrito (a super burrito with fries instead of rice) and I get their Carne Asada Burro (especially a super burrito with no rice). As soon as we snag our burritos, we will rush back into our apartment n will literally eat in complete silence... savoring every single bite. From the well seasoned meat to the crispy thin tortilla and the perfect balance of cheese, cilantro, onions, grilled onions, sour cream and guacamole... it's seriously unmatched! We are always so sad when we reach our last bite :'(The service is also so inviting and friendly! You can really tell how passionate they are about their food :)We tell all our friends and family they are the best burritos we have ever had! And trust me, we LOVE Mexican food and have tried countless spots. If you ever see the truck, please try them out - you will not regret it!"
"After getting over a dozen outrageous quotes for taquiza, I found Gabriel's Tacos on Facebook Marketplace. Besides coming in about $200 less than other places, they also offered more (3 meets, quesadillas, bacon wrapped hot dogs, 2 fresh waters, plates, utensils and all the fixings). They showed up 1.5 hours before the party to set up and start cooking, and served for 3 hours. It was delicious! All my guests were extremely satisfied and the guys were very nice. I highly recommend and will use them again. Thank you so much!"
"Oh wow, this was my 3rd order from Brenda's cloud kitchen @ Jingletown Eats (in Oakland). I ordered the 2-meat combo for $31, and it was hellya good! Large servings of BBQ Ribs and Chicken, sides of potato salad and green beans. Your food quality and quantity has been consistently good."
"I had a chance to try Xenia after seeing it on Uber Eats and got to try their Chicken Shawarma bowl. This is located in a ghost kitchen so there are different types of food you can order here on a touch screen and then someone puts it in a cubby where you go pick it up. The ambiance here is very minimal and no chairs or tables to eat - hence expect to eat pickup only.Overall the bowl was pretty good - it came with sweet potatoes, broccoli, corn salad and lots of other goodies. The chicken was well seasoned and went well with the sauce and the red pepper hummus which was really yum. Overall, good food and good portion!"
"Go Fish is my favorite poke place! I've DoorDashed from here numerous times (my app says 9 times) lol. Their poke bowls are so good! I always get their yam noodles as my base. These noodles are so yummy that I even called the place to ask where they get their yam noodles from! The fish is always so fresh and tasty too. Their lychee lemonade is also very refreshing."
